I have been a client at World of Animals at Bethayres for nearly two years. My two senior cats,…read moreRocky and Adrian, have been under the care of Dr. Tamara Borland. I found my way to W of A during Covid. My cat Adrian showed signs of diabetes and she needed testing right away. My vet at the time was booked 8 weeks out, so I called Bethayres and made an appointment a few days later. Dr. Borland ran blood panels and urine tests on Adrian and confirmed it was feline diabetes. Our journey began in December 2020. Since then, Adrian has been in the vet office almost monthly for checkups and testing. Adrian's care under Dr. Borland has been nothing short of exemplary. Dr. Borland has always treated Adrian with kindness and compassion. Her love of animals and her knowledge of veterinary medicine is present during the entire time you spend with her. Whenever I had questions or concerns, Dr. Borland took the time to listen without judgement and offered advice and solutions. She explained things in terms that were easy to understand and I always felt seen and heard. Sadly, Adrian's diabetes took a turn for the worse, and I made the difficult decision to say goodbye. When the time came, Dr. Borland explained everything that was going to happen, step-by-step. She helped Adrian pass away peacefully and without pain. I was able to spend as much time with Adrian as I wanted. The assisting vet nurse, Rebecca (I believe that is her name), opened the window in the room to allow Adrian's sprit to leave, which I thought was so appropriate. That gesture was really comforting. Unfortunately, I am leaving the practice, but only because I'm moving out of state. It will be tough to find a new veterinarian that can fill Dr. Borland's shoes. Nobody will ever be her, honestly, but I'm hoping to find the same care and respect for my other cat Rocky. I cannot recommend Dr. Borland and World of Animals enough. I hope you and your animals are lucky enough to be clients at this wonderful clinic.

He saved my last dog who had the same symptoms, without recommending expensive testing, He simply needed an appetite stimulant which did the trick. Every single time I am calling to follow up on test results even a week after the tests were taken. Shouldn't they be proactive and give me a call and wanting to get the results to me faster? I guess not. They also have administered the wrong test before, which in my opinion is completely unacceptable and put my dog through something that wasn't even necessary. On top of that, they are more expensive than the other vets I've been to, I mean $25 for a nail trim while already spending hundreds of dollars on a visit, you would think they could atleast match petsmarts $12 or even do it as a courtesy for spending thousands a month. This place was great before Dr Klein took over but at this point it's been a miserable experience and need to inform others in the area to not go here and waste your time, I can't trust them with the care of my babies! I should have came here before I made an appointment at this place…read more I am distraught and disgusted as to how I was treated at IVAH. I had an appointment for 9AM. I always thought it was respectable to be early to appointments. I arrived and walked in at 8:55 AM. Instead of being greeted with open arms, I was scolded for opening the door prior to them opening. I apologized and said we had an appt at 9. Again, I was given an attitude that they were not open yet and there was no doctor and normally the door is locked... but it wasn't so I could take a seat..I did. I continued to get attitude even after mentioning I was confused as to WHY I WAS GETTING AN ATTITUDE... no response to that... but they didn't get the records I e-mailed over 3 times... so I also got an attitude about that. A man walks in to get medication for his cat... also prior to 9AM... and he was welcomed so nicely and was told his animal was their favorite and making it very clear that I was not welcome at this animal hospital. Not only did I have to wake up early, I had to wake up my sick 1 year old, take him to daycare early, walk the dog early so she could get her poop sample.... and still arrived 5 minutes early ... BUT THAT WASN'T THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I moved from Penn Ridge animal hospital bc I thought IVAH being closer would be better (also more expensive) but I am so glad I did not give them a DOLLAR and Penn Ridge welcomed me back with a same day appointment. Your staff is inappropriate, rude, and completely forgot that I AM THE CUSTOMER and how they treated me was uncalled for. DO BETTER! I do not stand for people belittling others and that is what your front desk staff did. UNBELIEVABLE. CLEARLY seems like the common issue is the staff.. I doubt the doctors even know what is happening. As I look through the other reviews... and the pictures online.. yes, Cari was who was ignorant to us and made us leave... I did call her an A HOLE so I feel better with that. I am responding to the below that I had no appt. You are hilarious and you should not delete me out of the system. However, I have receipts. I'll call your office if you wish.

Only three reviews? I guess people don't tend to review veterinarians on Yelp. Go figure…read more First, a disclaimer - I haven't seen that many veterinarians. We've owned a few gerbils, and we got our first cat less than a year ago, so I'm not an expert. That said, these folks are stellar. There are at least three or four animal hospitals closer to my home, but I've no problem driving the extra distance for the Animal Hospital of Warwick. We initially saw them because my daughter's well-aged gerbil was having health problems, and most of the local vets were limited to cats, dogs, and birds. The professionals at Warwick clearly care for their animal patients. I know it sounds callous, but even though I considered our rodent pet as "just a gerbil," I honestly got the sense that the vet staff (and I'm including all of them here, from the nurses, vets, and the receptionist staff) cared more about the welfare of a $10 gerbil than I did. Ultimately, my daughter recognized that medical treatment for the gerbil was not only expensive, but had a low chance of success (given the age of the animal), and we asked to have the gerbil euthanised. The nurse suggested letting my daughter have a few minutes alone with her pet before we left. A few weeks later, she received a letter in the mail - it was a condolence card, hand-signed by the whole hospital staff - complete with personalized content from those on staff who personally treated the gerbil (or spoke with my daughter). I've been called "emotionally distant," but my daughter's reaction to the card brought a tear to my eye. We still have our happy and healthy cat, who just had his first-birthday checkup and vaccinations. As before, the staff was friendly, and as engaging with the animals as much as with their owners. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Animal Hospital of Warwick to anyone - even if it means driving a few extra miles.
