They are never put back into the rack, and the dumbbells are even worse. You'll spend 5-10 minutes just searching for the right size and then you'll only find one dumbbell. The gym has dust all over around the machines as if they clean the floor but just stop near anything. Permenant sweat stains on everything and it's inconvenient to wipe things down, and the staff never cleans or puts the weights back. Machines will stay broken for months at a time (the Life fitness row machine and a leg curl machine). Not to mention the filter for the water fountain stays red for a month as well. It also seems that certain memberships have unlimited guest passes, but I was never told that when signing up and my boyfriend already had a membership. There's also the fact that if your friends with someone who works at the front, they probably just let you walk right by without scanning. Meanwhile it's a huge burden on the staff just to scan you in. Why can't the scanner just sit on the desk? I've been a member of small gyms with outdated equipment, but they weren't chains or anything. Expectations are lower. Wouldn't expect this poor of quality from an LA Fitness.

While checking my bank statement, planet fitness charged my account twice in April & May for a different amount. I called the California facility in regard to this matter & found out that a planet fitness in New Jersey use my account for someone I don't even know. I called the New Jersey planet fitness & 1st I was told no manager was on the premises, then I would receive a call back from the regional manager. It has been 7 days with no call back or results for this matter. I also made another call to the facility yesterday & the same female told me that " no manager was on site" again. Then all of a sudden another woman gets on the phone & stated she was the manager but could not assist me. She would not provide me the regional manager email or phone number. Then she hung up in my face. I feel like it's a inside job & they know it. Why keep brushing me off? Someone needs to refund me my money no matter what. It was very easy to reserve my spot to store luggage at this facility. I was coming from Newark airport and I needed to drop off my luggage for a few hours so that I could participate in an event and not have to lug it around the city. It's very easy to check in with the information that was sent to me an email before I had arrived. They made sure that my bag was secure and labeled. At no point did I feel like there was going to be any issues with my bag based off of the room that houses the luggage and the procedure of handing my baggage over to them. I stored my luggage here for about six or seven hours, and there was no issues with retrieving my luggage when I came back. It was the same procedure as check-in almost. It really was a lifesaver for me because I did not want to carry my baggage for seven hours on my back and it was very reasonably priced. Accessing the facility is reasonably close to Newark Penn Station and it's just a short walk. Thanks a lot.
