I really appreciate that they require proof of fecal and vaccinations in their effort to provide the most healthy stay possible for the animals being boarded their. One of our dogs is on a boatload of very critical medications for pain relief and inflammation for a very bad back problem that surgery did not correct. The staff there are very conscientious about giving meds and making sure that food is offered in the correct amount. This last stay the staff kept in close touch with me because one of our pups decided not to eat very well. I can't begin to say how much I appreciate their communication with me about my dog's welfare while staying at the kennel. I also love that they have a variety of different kinds of kennels (if you can call them that!). My dogs stay in a suite with a bed, couch, TV and classical music to help calm them. Just fabulous!! I love getting the photo updates and the reports on how they are doing while I am away. I appreciate that, depending on your dog, they can participate in group play or have playtime all to themselves if they aren't a big fan of party time. (My dogs don't play well with others! LOL). The Resort offers activities such as brain games to help the dogs pass the time. My dogs love it! Each time I have picked up my dogs they are happy, clean, and healthy. Staff there are friendly and seem to care about the dogs left in their care. Expect to pay more for this level of service! And don't complain about the cost! Dogs are family. It's worth every penny to know my dogs are being loved on, cared for and pampered while I am away.

Our rescue dogs have been loved and cared for by the Hiltons, Shelly and the rest of their amazing staff for days and weeks at a time. We never worry when traveling knowing that our girls are taken care of. Our baby Sophie recovered from heart worm for 3 weeks at Goldwood as we were traveling and she needed rest. They continued to love her from the month we got her through the 12 years we had her. They are flexible and accommodating. We have had deaths, a short notice adoption pick up and other last minute needs for boarding and are always able to get a spot for our pup. Our second rescue is High maintenance and can be a handful. With patience and care the staff worked with her, easing her fears and I must say we have come a long way. She trots in now with barely a bark. I contacted a few people and Twin Cities Pets were the only ones that responded! I am so glad they did and here is why. First, cost for service. They stopped over prior to leaving to meet my pets and find out everything that I wanted to have done. They might do more in 15 minutes than I do in 3 hours with regards to my pets! The service is a great value. Great Service. They obviously love animals. It's nice to know that my guys are going to be with people who really care about their wellbeing. They offered to send me texts with updates, etc. When I came home, the cats looked well cared for and I think they left the litter boxes cleaner than when I left them! :) Just good people. These are the kind of people who have an instance trustworthiness about them. They are professional and friendly. Hands down - if you are looking for a pet sitter for whatever reason, you will likely be joining us on Yelp! singing praises about the quality of services you will receive. Wow! These guys are the best. My boyfriend and I were going to Duluth for a short weekend get away,…read morewhich is difficult for us to do with a special needs animal. Our senior cat has diabetes and needs to be fed and receive insulin injections on a pretty strict schedule (every 12 hours), and finding friends who were both available for the whole weekend and comfortable giving shots proved to be difficult. We found Twin Cities Pets through an online search and were ecstatic to see that they had prior experience with insulin injections and came to your home. A lot of other pet sitting or boarding services said that they will administer medication, but not injections, so this was lucky and we were so glad we didn't have to board him somewhere, which basically sound like cat jail. Marea came over and met with my boyfriend to pick up our spare key and learn about our cat's routine. We also have a bunny and a few tortoises, and she said she was happy to check on them as well. Marea sent us email updates letting us know everyone was doing A-OK, and we were able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing that our pets were in great hands. The cost was comparable or maybe even cheaper than boarding, and I know that our cat was much happier staying in his own home and familiar environment. We will definitely be using Twin Cities Pets the next time we go out of town and I would highly recommend them to any other friends in the area. Excellent service, I wish I could give them even more stars!
