I went to deposit a check which was supposed to clear 2 days later per everwise, I was then…read morenotified it would be on hold clearing 5 days later. This was for an investment that would yield 26,700. Because of this hold, and because everwise is closed on the weekends, I missed the optimal position on my investments by about 10% or $2,670 and counting. That's 7 going on 8 days that I have been barred from accessing my funds. I go to check this Monday to transfer by wire, they don't open til 11am. This has been an expensive lesson to never use everwise if you need access to your funds in less than 2 weeks. If you're going to deposit money or cash I recommend cashapp instead as funds settle in as little as 3 days and it can be instantly transferred on all calendar days. Because of this mistake, I lost the equivalent of two paychecks in less than 2 days while everwise was unavailable. I can't afford the unreliability of my bank acting so leisurely like I don't have money to make. Not only this but I couldn't get a loan using my vehicle as collateral or a $6000 judgment as collateral. And the interest rates offered do not incentivize the need to keep money in the account. I only opened an account with everwise to finance a private sale for a vehicle which everwise declined to help me finance. All in all, any other bank would be more of a resource, and if I didn't know any better I would just assume everwise is actively trying to be an obstacle more than anything. Everwise should be your last resort when it comes to banking.
