Time spent here was about 2.5 hours to remove the old filling and cavity and give me a temporary crown. The cost for (porcelain crown) everything was quite a bit more than I was expecting; we'll see how it lasts. The entire atmosphere here resembled that of a very happy home. The dentist came into the room, asked if I was experiencing any pain, and after I explained, he said there was nothing visible. When it was time for the cleaning, the lady did a rushed job and didn't floss my teeth properly. Overall, it was not a good experience. While the customer service was excellent, the dental service was not. Lastly, when I called to schedule an appointment, the call center staff--or backend staff, as the gentleman mentioned--was horrible. He said I wasn't a patient on two different occasions, refused to transfer me, and left me on hold. This was unacceptable.

We decided to swap to another place after braces came off and now I'm having to pay for xrays that the Temple location has because we can't get them sent to our new dentist despite multiple phone calls/requests and assurances that they would do it. Said xrays are only covered 1x every 3 years. The frustration I feel knowing this is money I should not have to spend just reassures me that we are doing the right thing in leaving Rodeo for good. They are also the only dentist who has ever required xrays every 6 months, which requires out of pocket due to them only being covered 1x a year. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review for a place. But, after 2.5 years service has only gotten worse.

I called Dr. Brandt's office at 8AM this morning and they had him in the exam room by 9:45am. After they examined him, they promptly came up with a treatment plan, and managed to work him in by 11:15. We were able to get everything done on the same day, as a walk-in! The staff was extremely polite and very helpful, they answered all of my questions, and even called this afternoon to check on him and make sure he was doing alright. I decided if we didn't need a crown, we will just get a filling. I brought her in for her appointment to do the crown and filling and they did back x-rays while she was under anesthesia because she wouldn't allow them to do them before. She had an additional 4 cavities between her teeth that the x-rays revealed. They were small cavities easily fixable with fillings but they highly recommended crowns because of the amount of cavities she had and she is prone to them. I went ahead and agreed to that against my better judgement and not having but 2 minutes to think about it. Now she has 5 capped teeth that are all silver and her gums are really red and bleeding in those areas. I regret agreeing to the crowns. I know this was my choice but everything I've read about this suggests doing crowns on teeth that are not fixable with a filling or are broken or decayed. Her teeth are not like that all. I'm so upset and disappointed in this children's dentist office that she has this much metal in her mouth and they put it in her when it wasn't necessary to do so. Parents, do your research before making any decision like this that your child will have to live with for a good part of their life!!! I wish I had!! My son is disabled and I trusted the professionals to do what is right for him. They use his disability to swindle us out of almost $700.
