Horribly painful treatments, splints, multiple dental implants, facial implants, sinus lift and other facial surgeries since the accident has also left my nerves in the face overly sensitive, making novocaine delivery difficult and painful. Needless to say, my fear of the dentist is severe brought on by not very successful, and often painful treatments in the past. I cry every time I think of the money I've spent so far on shoddy dental work. Dr House and his staff were understanding, respectful, accommodating, gentle and best of all... They FIXED the issues that 2 other dentists in the last 5 months couldn't fix, and at a fraction of the cost other dentists had quoted me prior, including finding a way to have most covered through my insurance, which I was previously told couldn't be done. Not only didn't they try to push treatment plans that didn't fit my lifestyle or necessity, but they showed me options that I didn't even know existed along with finding a deep cavity under a crown margin that could have turned into something ugly in only months. His office was clean and bright. Run proficiently and professionally. Over all, from a woman who has sunk tens of thousands into correcting my mouth, I consider myself a professional dental patient and Dr House has been hands down one of THE best dental experiences I've ever had. There is much to be said about a clam, welcoming atmosphere to someone who is petrified of the dentist. His demeanor and calm attitude is infectious throughout his staff. I truly recommend this office to anyone who has experienced unpleasant dental visits along with being nervous and apprehensive about their treatments. Then I had to wait another three months to get scheduled for a cleaning. After all that waiting, I showed up for my appointment only to be told they couldn't clean my teeth because I needed a deep cleaning, which would require more time, cost more money, and couldn't be scheduled for quite a while longer. What makes this experience especially frustrating is that I recently had a baby and am currently breastfeeding and pumping. I had to carefully plan my pumping schedule and arrange childcare just to make it to this appointment. After waiting months and making all those arrangements, I left without receiving the service I had scheduled. As a military spouse, finding good, reliable places when you move to a new area can be incredibly difficult. I genuinely thought I had finally found a good dental office close to my house, which makes this experience even more disappointing. On top of that, I struggle with anxiety when it comes to dental appointments. It takes a tremendous amount of effort for me to work up the courage to attend these appointments in the first place. After overcoming that anxiety, arranging childcare, planning around pumping, and waiting months for an appointment, being turned away without receiving the cleaning I expected was incredibly frustrating. I understand that a deep cleaning may be necessary, and I understand that it may require additional time and cost more money. However, I feel this should have been communicated and addressed sooner so I could have planned accordingly rather than going through all the stress and inconvenience of attending an appointment that couldn't be completed. Her practice isn't all about making money, it's also about helping people and making sure they are taken care of the best way possible. When I started using her services my gums bled too after a cleaning. That's because I wasn't brushing correctly and wasn't doing what I needed to do in order to have excellent dental hygiene. Once I made the recommended changes I haven't had ply hat problem. My daughter (15) and son (12) have had numerous cleanings and maybe a filling or two also. Most people who work with me recommend me staying away from the copier so I don't get a paper cut. I've faced the facts: I'm clumsy with a low pain tolerance. Oddly (and thankfully), Dr. Rich and his team get away with everything in my face pain-free - from extractions, to veneers to a follow up I needed to have after getting maxiofacial surgery after an accident. They were all very comforting in my time of need. The second time I went back, i got my procedure done. they numbed me and I had no issues. I am going back this week for a routine cleaning. They all have gentle hands and great personalities. I now no longer have to go to the dentist in fear because I know I am in good hands.
