mental abusers who will make you think you're stupid for experiencing life and asking for help. which is what I thought therapy was supposed to be. also dr kettanis is in bed with all the med companies, and will switch you from med to med with no regard for your health or safety. she got me addicted to benzos at age 15 but no one cares except me, the one left suffering. dr kettanis also tried to prescribe laxatives to a close friend of mine to counteract the weight gain from a tranquilizer he was put on, even though he struggles with disordered eating. and god forbid you're trans. dr. kettanis will try to talk you out of it like her life depends on you. she is stupid and a power-tripper, she knows she has power over you and will use it. save yourself and skip centerstone read more

literally just a walk-in church. "in house" AA and NA meetings ( just NA, pure alcohol recovery is treated as nothing more than a common cold) are all ended with the Lord's Prayer and a circle of hands. the therapy is awful, just telling you to "get over it" and trust in God, like the meetings tell you. outside AA and/or NA meetings are all in churches, you're crammed into a minibus and shipped off to whatever meeting they choose (but again, the meeting is alway in a church) No options, no alternatives, just church and God. Again, just straight-up alcoholism is not treated at all, they just give you naltrexone and trazadone and tell you to "sleep it off" until you feel well enough to get down on your knees and pray to God. If you're a religious nut, then go for it. otherwise, if you're looking for something besides God, look elsewhere. read more

If you have addiction issues and are trying to get psychiatric help for depression / adhd, do not go to Dr Anne Leach ; at least she was damaging to me and my well being. Addiction is a disease of and all about shame. So why you would behave in a shaming fashion toward someone with this disease is beyond me. She prescribed Qelbree for adhd and depression. She seemed put out / bothered /interrupted, at best bored when I asked questions about the side effects I was experiencing. She sort of shrugged and basically told me she had no idea if the side effects would go away. It's a new drug. the other people she prescribed it to had no problems. and she said this as if I was therefore defective. Finally I said, "i have a few more questions... i'm not sure if i'm interrupting..." -- because she simply looks down at her computer and types when I'm trying to talk with her -- finally she looked up at me exasperating, after being little to no help and behaving as if I was an inconvenience, "we're running out of time because YOU were LATE." What kind of doctor treats someone with suicidal ideation this way. Unfortunately way too many. Dr Anne Leach is unfortunately not an exception to this rule. What kind of psychiatrist puts you in a worse mood than when you walked into their office. I would put only 1 star if she hadn't been kind and attentive during our first meeting. But subsequent meetings have been all about shaming, punishing, judging behavior with a bit of helpfulness. At least flip that ratio, doc. read more

Caveat: this review is based solely on my personal experience. I believe this place has helped a lot of people, and I encourage everyone to at least try them. If meds aren't involved, they may help. I tried to use Centerstone shortly after Meadows ceased their outpatient services. My doctor there at Meadows had been wonderful. She listened and carefully evaluated my meds regularly. Centerstone has a program that requires you to see a therapist, and they must offer a recommendation for a doctor. My therapist was somewhat new. She was very kind and patient, and did make the referral I needed. Unfortunately she was focused more on her approach than simply listening to me. I was able to see a doctor, but somewhere along the line I found out my medical information was never entered into their system. Ugh. During my very brief visit, I filled the doctor in on my meds. I had my bottles and I could provide a history. When I mentioned Adderall for my ADHD I was told they prescribe Wellbutrin for that. I told her I'd tried that and it doesnt work. She pretty much told me no doctor there would prescribe a controlled substance. Ultimately, they're more worried about themselves than about helping people. There seem to be a lot of clients with drug problems, and because of that everyone suffers. I stopped seeing them immediately. In 2018 I was diagnosed as not having any pituitary gland at all. This means no thyroid function and no cortisol, among other things, which are necessary for life. Both of these conditions cause depression. Why didn't someone at this medical facility bother to check these things out? It would've taken a simple blood test, for which I would have gladly paid. My condition is life-threatening for multiple reasons and one of the symptoms is depression. How many people who have similar conditions that present with depression have been overlooked, neglected, and all but blamed for their own condition by this facility and its employees? It's despicable that one should go to a medical facility for care and be blamed for their condition as no one even bothered to check for basic common abnormalities, like hypothyroidism, that would present with depression. How many people have died, either at their own hand or as a result of their medical condition that went undiagnosed, due to the neglect of the employees at this facility? read more

This place is truly terrible. I've been here off and on from the age of 16 until recently, I'm now 27. I was in meadows inpatient for weeks and then was sent here as a teen and all they managed to do was overmedicate me to the point of basically being a zombie and my therapists only answer to my suicidal ideation was to have a close friend to call when I was really about to commit suicide...great. Thanks for nothing. I figured I would give it another try 6 years ago and then again now as I had recently moved back to Indiana and only had a few options that accept my insurance. Essentially had the exact same experience. Therapist wasn't helpful at all and their only answer to all the unwanted side affects of the medication I'm on is to up my dosage. So I TRIED to come here after my new insurance was not accepted at my previous office. So I came here, had my intake then the fun started! The first scheduled appointment was cancelled because apparently they scheduled me on a week/day he was out of the office. The second scheduled appointment was cancelled due to the him being sick (which I understand happens). Rescheduled again for 4pm a couple weeks later. I show up and they said my appointment Was at 3! Which that is not what I was told! I'm sorry, but I advocate for mental health awareness and Suicide awareness and prevention but this place worked against me in that! I worked as a therapist for Centerstone for six years. During that time, I saw client rights violated on many occasions and was personally harassed by my supervisor. When I complained about the harassment, I was fired. I should have listened to all of the people who told me not to work for Centerstone. The care is not person-centered, and the main objective there is to squeeze as many "billable hours" from the clients that we can. This is a toxic place to work, and even worse for people looking for mental health services. While some providers there are good and doing what they can out of a genuine desire to help people, most of them are not. read more

I suffer from servere bipolar disorder. When I first went to centerstone. I was given an intern to talk to for about year. She was alright,but didn't know what she was doing. My mental health went downhill. Then I had the A.C.T team lead as a therapist. She was awful. I seen her for just seven months. She would no call no show. She did this five times. I was driving 60miles round trip. I lost my first job I held down for 15 years due to this. They was making me come in every week.I believe one time she was meth? Can't confirm that. That therapist would laugh at my mental health symptoms would refer to me as the weirdo. I have suicidal ideations everyday. One day I was having a bad day. She calls the police on me after we had a verbal contract that the police would never be called. She drunkenly calls the police on me at 1130pm. She calls me to tell me this drunkenly. I get kicked out the commune I lived in. I lost all my friends,they was like family for me. They really wanted to see the best of me. That devastated me. I knew my life was destroyed. I had a nervous breakdown. I was literally walking around Bloomington crying,and yelling and screaming at nobody. I call this therapist to tell her what's going on. She laughs. I sit with her for another appointment. She lies to me about a govt program that didn't exist. She countinued to laugh at me. She litteraly told me that if I wasn't a weirdo I wouldn't be homeless. She quit the next day without a notice. I now and still sleep in my vehicle. Im now going back to centerstone. And guess what? They cancelled the last three appointments. I literally have been asking to see a doctor for year now. The same doctor who won't presscribe the same combination of that I had in the State hospital. The director Greg may tells my probation that I'm no longer a client at centerstone in December 2019. I was going to appointments up untill the middle of February. They was charging my Medicaid. I go to jail for two months. The alful thing about is when I had that bad therapist I continued to ask management at center for change of a therapist when she skipped out on an appointment. They did nothing. Centerstone makes people homeless. My life is a nightmare thanks to centerstone. There are now no solutions to any of my problems now. Yes centerstone you are correct you do deliver care that changes lives BTW, that screwed up therapist now works at MCUM. read more

I don't have much to say about the quailty of therapy since they arent seeing anyone in person. However their billing method is ridiculous. You can only recieve a paper bill in the mail. It doesn't get to you until a few days before the due date and the payment portal is very unreliable. I made multiple payments until I ended my therapy then got my final bill which included all of my sessions i ever had. Found out my payments hadnt gone through their sketchy portal but they didnt bother to let me know until now. I even recieved a bill in between that didnt mention the previous payments that hadnt been made. Never got a call. read more

So I'm sick and can barely speak at the moment. I called because I've been missing medical notes for over 2 weeks and still can't get a hold of anyone. Ever. I received a miss call from one of the nurses (who I think are genuinely nice) and I went to return the call. Some lady who answered I don't know her name, was very rude answering the phone. I explained to her hey I have a missed call and then boom. "HOLD ON A MINUTE HOLD ON A MINUTE HOOOOOLD ONNNNN A MINUUUUUUTE" and transferred me to the wrong d*** voicemail. I called back again and she did the same thing. I don't know her name she could barely speak English what is seemed, and was just a downright dirty mean rude a**. This location is in Bloomington. I haven't ever had any bad experience with these centerstone people ever. They've all been great and helpful till today when she answered the phone. Whoever you are I hope you're reading this! YOU need to find a NEW profession! I felt incredibly invalidated and it took a huge toll on my mental health when I was already in a bad place. She seemed like she was fascinated with my trauma and it made me very very uncomfortable. Ann Leach has threatened to not see me after I missed three appointments over 6 months ago. It was a hectic time in my life and they will fight me every time I try to get my prescription refilled that I literally might die without. I've been told after 4 appointments on time that they still can't give me a date for represcribing my life saving medications because even though I made those appointments I was 5 minutes late to the last. If you have ANY options for someone else or have IMPORTANT medical treatment to receive, look elsewhere. I've read other reviews for just her as a doctor. She's let other patients run out of medications in her reviews but other psychiatrists have such a long waiting list, I'm so scared to stick with centerstone. Hint, there's a reason half the reviews are 1 star. Look up reviews of individuals before being seen, just because someone's a doctor doesn't mean they have compassion or know how to treat people. read more

Some of the people are very helpful at Centerstone, some are not. I met a great lady in the community out reach named Dolly, wonderful person, very down to earth. Really helped me find things in the community I needed to know. I moved from Michigan were the care is very person centered. They look at it as more of your own personal journey to the life you want. Here at Centerstone in Indiana it is doctor knows best. Your not a partner in the journey but more of just a student. That does not work for me. My first visit with the doctor, they asked me to pee for a drug screen and said it was standard for all this doctors first time people. I dont do drugs, I passed. When I ask for the same anxiety meds I had in Michigan, the doctor told me no that they are habit forming. I like taking them because it is as needed and does not have to be taking all the time, only as needed. Her answer was to try and put me on meds that have to be monitored and taken for maybe life.... No thank you. Not to mention when she heard the trauma I had went through as a child, (Im 41 now) she kept asking me questions like she was trying to trick me to see if I had a drug history. I moved here from out of state last june, and have since spent the entire time attempting to do every little thing centerstone asked of me in order to get a continuation of care regarding my medications. Twice in this process ive run out and become extremely sick. Their statement that you can see a doctor after three visits to a therapist is a lie. i wasnt even put on the wait list for a doctor until november. And the "doctor" (read: nurse) theyve assigned me is completely wretched. She refused to read my medical history records, chastized me because they were somehow out of order, and prescribed me nothing. My second visit today, she made the implication that im just an addict and a liar and dont need my meds. Shes insisting i wean off the one i need for insomnia, but both in her office and on the phone, refused to tell me what she plans to replace it with. She likes to hear herself talk and doesnt listen or try to work with you at all, and she has zero tact or manners. Completely unempathetic, as are the majority of the staff. Running out of medications ive been on for years because of this terrible treatment has now become a point of severe anxiety. Staff is incredibly abusive particularly to males who were sexually abused. Rely on innuendo to harass patients until they "require" medication. I've been stalked and battered by Centerstone staff and former staff. Criminal is the best word to describe Centerstone. read more

I wouldn't even give them one star if I could. When I went to seek a therapist they were wonderful. When my son started to have problems it's the first place I thought of. As the year went on, the turn around rate on therapist were horrible, he had a new therapist about every month. You leave them voicemails, but they will NEVER return your call. There is supposed to be someone in the Mooresville office but they are not, and when you speak to the Martinsville Office they will tell you "o she only comes in when she wants to, and if she doesn't feel like coming in, she won't". They will tell you, you have a balance but between Bloomington, Mooresville, and Martinsvill they have no idea how much you owe or even if you own anything. They lie to you and state they cannot mail, email, or fax you a receipt and yet you call and ask make a payment on a different day and they all of a sudden are able to mail you a receipt. The office staff do not know their supervisors names or titles, they refuse to give out extensions, they refuse to give out anyone's name. and they will make sure to tell you that the person you are looking for is never available, and will return a week later because they are always out in the field or vacation. read more
