After seeing Laura for 5 months, I can confidently say I finally found a therapist I trust and feel…read morecomfortable with. The work I've done with her has significantly improved issues I struggle with. Creating a space where I can be 100% honest and vulnerable has been monumental for my mental health and growth. The perspective she provides and questions she asks have played a significant role in my progress. I was scared to try EMDR for the first time, but Laura made sure I had the tools I needed to feel safe. She allows me to set the pace, and would never push me if I'm not ready. I look forward to the work I do in session with Laura, even if it's hard I always leave feeling more like the person I want to be.

Laura was very inconsistent with responding to me especially in regards to scheduling or canceling…read moreappointments. While she seemed to be a good listener, it was the business side in which she failed. She was not direct in answering my questions about making payments. All of our sessions felt more stiff and like I was talking to a stranger rather than someone I trusted to be my therapist. Definitely not the fit for me. I have also had other communication issues where I thought we scheduled for one date, when she actually scheduled me for another time. There was one time where she was 30 minutes late to our session and then told me she only had 30 minutes to give me as she had other obligations afterwards.

mental abusers who will make you think you're stupid for experiencing life and asking for help…read more which is what I thought therapy was supposed to be. also dr kettanis is in bed with all the med companies, and will switch you from med to med with no regard for your health or safety. she got me addicted to benzos at age 15 but no one cares except me, the one left suffering. dr kettanis also tried to prescribe laxatives to a close friend of mine to counteract the weight gain from a tranquilizer he was put on, even though he struggles with disordered eating. and god forbid you're trans. dr. kettanis will try to talk you out of it like her life depends on you. she is stupid and a power-tripper, she knows she has power over you and will use it. save yourself and skip centerstone

literally just a walk-in church. "in house" AA and NA meetings ( just NA, pure alcohol recovery is…read moretreated as nothing more than a common cold) are all ended with the Lord's Prayer and a circle of hands. the therapy is awful, just telling you to "get over it" and trust in God, like the meetings tell you. outside AA and/or NA meetings are all in churches, you're crammed into a minibus and shipped off to whatever meeting they choose (but again, the meeting is alway in a church) No options, no alternatives, just church and God. Again, just straight-up alcoholism is not treated at all, they just give you naltrexone and trazadone and tell you to "sleep it off" until you feel well enough to get down on your knees and pray to God. If you're a religious nut, then go for it. otherwise, if you're looking for something besides God, look elsewhere.
