RBTL's Auditorium Theatre is always a wonderful location to see a show. The theatre is currently…read moreunder construction and some of the outside areas were fenced in. One exciting edition I noticed on this visit were working elevators. In the past they did not have elevators which was difficult when I came to a show with my mother who has limited mobility. Very pleased to see this has been addressed by the venue. Check in process is quick. Scan your tickets and move through the security screening line. The bar had speciality drinks for the musical we were seeing, Back to the future. We purchased some candy for the show, $3 a piece. Cookies and cheese & crackers samplers were also available for purchase. You can also purchase merchandise for the show on the first floor. The theatre is gorgeous with molded ceilings and stained glass light fixtures. We were seated on the main level and the seats are comfortable. I did feel packed in at times but overall comfort was good. I would order aisle seats next time, as this is my preference. Bathrooms were very clean though the lines were crazy during intermission. I went to the lower level and it was chaos with no clear direction for the lines. I did not want to wait in this line, so I walked up to the second level. The line was shorter and the bathroom had an attendant directing the line traffic. The second floor also had a photo op area for the show and the rbtl staff took a photo for us. RBTL does a great job bringing exciting productions to town. Very happy to have the opportunity to see broadway shows in Rochester.

I won free tickets to see Dustbowl Revival at the Nazareth Arts Center. The show was phenomenal! I…read morehadn't been to this venue before this show. It was a bit difficult for us to find it since our GPS led us through the winding campus roads. There was ample parking in front of the Arts Center which was a delightful surprise. Since we got there fairly early, we took a short stroll around the concert hall. There were beautiful sculptures and art pieces around, a cute seating area (for students I'm guessing). The evening didn't start out great. The usher literally led us to the wrong seats, on the opposite end of the theater. It was an ordeal finding our seats and the people we passed while looking for our seats were quite rude which put me in a bad mood. The seats were a bit cramped; I couldn't stand up to dance. They were comfortable enough to sit in though! The acoustics weren't fabulous from where I was sitting by the right side door. During the intermission, I stepped out. Again, the people down our row were rude and grunted at us as we tried to get passed them. The water fountain outside of the door did not work! The concessions stand only took cash and it was super crowded. I ended up going to a vending machine downstairs. The bathroom I went to (downstairs) was very clean and spacious. It was much nicer than I had expected it to be. Overall, I have mixed feelings about the Nazareth Arts Center. On the one hand, it was a pretty and clean facility with decent seats. But on the other hand there were so many small things like the incompetent usher and broken water fountain that really turned me off to it. I'm willing to give it another try and come back for another show in the future (hopefully with a different crowd).

I went here once for a friend's recital. It's a state of the art facility with a very clean and…read morerelaxing atmosphere. The surrounding campus is gorgeous and parking was not an ordeal.
