I appreciated the fact they recognized all veterans from various branches in the beginning before the show started. The Christmas Carol is a wonderful production that gets you in the holiday spirit. In the middle they have an intermission and drinks/ snacks can be purchased at that time. Look up the GEVA theatre online for performances and you not regret experiencing this gem in the heart of Rochester. They have a parking lot & garage for easy parking next door as well!

The doors opened early around 5:30 and the show started at 7:30. It gave us time to mingle with friends and meet new friends. They had a full bar serving a variety of beers, wines, and spirits, with a signature drink called "the transfusion". The transfusion was vodka based with juices, it not only looked like blood, but came in a "blood bag" that you drink out of. Very cool idea to go with the theme of the film. The seating was comfortable and lighting was amazing with the stage full of candles. Very romantic setting. The orchestra was fantastic! What a great experience. They had a 20 minute intermission. This theater is a gem to Rochester, but especially for youth who don't always have access to creative outlets. One thing that I have noticed, though, is to always add a little time to your plans. Events sometimes start late or have added time during an event that I hadn't anticipated (e.g. Tour of the art gallery).
