I had to park my boat somewhere else when it arrived because it wouldn't go on lift. After having to move lift further out ourselves, we put the boat on it. Then a cable snapped and ripped through our brand new lift. My husband and I saw a crew members after who wasn't even an employee pull a piece out and spent about 10 minutes trying to put it back. It was a pin that holds a pully for the cable to ride on. When he put pin back, the pully was not in place and was inside the tube. I let them know what happened. They said they don't service my lift brand and that's not how they adjust the legs. I know that's not how they should adjust legs but it's what this inexperienced mad did. It caused about $1,800 in damage to my lift. And then they wanted us to pay for them putting out lift in. When we refused, they sued us. Beware. The owner never contacted me either. He has his office manager email me.

I dropped my canvas off and was told it was about a two-week turnaround, which was fine for me as long as I got it back before fall. After just over two weeks, I received a call to come and get it back, so I made the approximately 45-minute trek. And it was worth it! I was quoted a minimum cost but ended up paying 1/2 half of that; I guess the damage looked worse to me than those who worked on it. I didn't take any photos of the area before work, but it was several small areas that were gnawed through and one larger one. When I got it back, I had to lay it fully out to find the repairs, and they are neat and clean. Some were reinforced with large patches, while others were less needy. I am so pleased and grateful for this quality work.

We asked around, thinking that there was a some way to fill the tank with your boat still in the water... maybe a restaurant, or some other business on the lake. Unable to find anything, we resorted to carrying 5 gallon tanks from the car to the boat every week for the rest of the summer. What a pain! At the beginning of the second season, we started talking to other people on the lake and they told us about Boatgas Marine Refueling Service. You could sign up to have them fill your boat's gas tank at your dock or slip and charge the gas on your credit card. The fee was a surcharge per gallon. The people who live on the lake get a red flag that they can raise to signal they need a fill up when he makes his regular rounds on Mondays and Thursdays. Alternatively, if you only need a fill up a couple times a season, you can call and let him know to fill your tank on his next time out. He also serves other lakes in Waukesha County. We've been using the service now for the last two years. He's friendly, reliable and we love the convenience. Glad they finally have a website so people can find him..
