We had an amazing experience from the first quote to the final backyard walkthrough! Raul's team finished the backyard ahead of schedule and answered every question and update we threw at them. Long read below; I break down each step of the process in detail. Design: We worked with Jeremy Wiley on the design. He came by the house and did measurements of the house for the initial quote. We came in with some ideas (outside dog wash) and he gave honest feedback and turned them into something better than we imagined. He listened, told us the truth when we asked for it, and kept the plan simple, low-maintenance, modern, and comfortable, which was exactly what we wanted. We discussed cost and budget upfront, and he made sure we stayed within our number without surprises. We got multiple quotes from other companies, but chose this team for their consistent communication and stronger designs. Build: Once we signed the contract, payments were split into about four milestones. The first payment with was the singing of the contract and then at different points throughout the project (delivery of the material, midpoint, final). Daniel Guerrero (site supervisor) introduced himself right away, along with Raul (team lead). Both were friendly and communicated clearly. Raul's crew was fantastic. They were efficient, respectful of our property and neighbors, and always open to questions. If we asked, Raul listened and answered. Final Walkthrough: Daniel did a thorough final walkthrough with us to confirm we loved the result and to capture any concerns. We decided to add one more pathway light, and he scheduled it immediately. Only dislike (being picky) Baby plants: We didn't realize they'd be younger plants, but that's on us. Our new house came with a front and back yard that had been neglected for several years. The amount of dead trees, dried weeds, and severe overgrowth was to the point where we couldn't even get into our house easily because of we had to dodge giant plant obstructions at our entrance. Centerpoint Landscaping came to our rescue! We worked closely with Mark and Joey to design a clean and simple yet beautiful hardscape that had irrigation and was plant ready - all on our tight budget. They thoroughly measured every inch of our yards, took photos, and then worked their magic on an interactive design system that generated a very accurate visual representation of how the end result would look. We were able to tweak parts of the design during the process as well. We had our backyard landscaped with custom water and fire pit features over a year ago, and recently one of the waterfall motors went out. Because it had been over a year since our install, we expected to have to pay for repairs and just wanted guidance about who to call. Within two days we had our original project leader out here to evaluate the problem, and by the afternoon we had a crew installing a new motor!!! Not only that, but there was NO CHARGE!!! Centerpoint Landscaping is the most reliable, venerated, and reputable contractor we have ever worked with, and we're so grateful for the ethics and principles in taking care of their valued customers! *Right after the initial project was completed the same waterfall pillar failed and they upgraded the motor for free. I have done two backyard landscaping projects in my 16 years living in Las Vegas. The first one didn't end up the way I'd hoped and always felt kind of disappointing. (I don't even recall the company I worked with then.) Centerpoint designed and completed my second landscaping project. The difference between these projects was immense. Mark at Centerpoint really listened to all of our needs and ideas, then turned them into a project plan that actually works. He made beautiful renderings for us to get a very realistic view of what the yard would look like, then made changes as we changed our minds on things. The whole project did end up taking longer than we anticipated, but that was due to overall supply issues nationwide. I wouldn't hold that against them. I hope to be able to make some landscaping tweaks to my front yard in the future, and while those won't be as large as taking a completely empty backyard into a stunning landscape, I would still look to Centerpoint for that project. I liked the first meeting to establish a quote for my maintenance work (basic stuff, cut grass, weeds, blow out leaves) with Centerpoint. We agreed on an initial clean up and then a monthly service. I was given a date for the initial clean up and they arrived as scheduled but did not bring a mower to cut my grass which was discussed as part of the services to be performed. However, I let that slide as a small oversight. When it came to the monthly service, this is where it all falls apart. Despite agreeing to monthly service quote and being told, documented in email on 4/24, that it would start before June 7th, I was informed today, 6/10, after asking why my service hadn't been done yet that I have been added to a waitlist that was started "two weeks ago." Considering I agreed to the quote and proposal in April, and given a specific week in which my monthly service would start no later than, I really don't understand how I wasn't scheduled at the time of the agreement. Instead no scheduling occurred and I received no service. Now I don't expect a local landscaping company to be the beacon in which all companies should strive to be like, but scheduling of customers and knowing if you can even take on new customers or not should be fairly simple and basic tasks. If you're unable to accommodate new customers, then you shouldn't be agreeing to provide services. At a minimum, if you realize later you can't accommodate, it should be brought up immediately, not after you were expected to fulfill the agreement. The initial clean up wasn't even done very well and I was hoping for better results with the monthly service, but this company can't seem to put it together. There are too many options to put up with poor performance and communication like this. read more

The presentation was amazing. The design was the best of the several I had quoted, and it was the best price, too. The work itself took 3 weeks. The crew followed the schedule without delays. After the work started, I was even able to have changes accomplished without any fuss. The work was done during the spring. Several plants didn't survive the summer. They were supposed to be doing weekly maintenance on our property and were only coming every other week or even less as we hadn't been seeing them. When they did come they did a half ass job and just used a leaf blower. They were also supposed to be treating our plants and they did a terrible job and one of our agaves got destroyed by beetles- even though they said they didn't notice anything, perhaps because they were never here! Lazy company with terrible customer service and would not recommend them to anyone. The experience we had with Centerpoint Landscaping was beyond what we expected. I wanted to share our journey in case others find themselves in the same situation: My wife and I had a general idea of what we wanted to be done in the backyard. We contemplated doing it ourselves, but after some research determined this would take forever and I would probably screw something up. We did the usual song and dance of reaching out to a couple different landscaping companies based on reviews and pictures online and in flyers. Jeremy, our assigned landscape designer, was extremely punctual for the initial walkthrough and immediately made us comfortable with our design ideas and how they could implement them along with offering suggestions to make it more feasible. A few days later we setup a date and time for a presentation to view the design and quote. At first we were concerned because it seemed like it would be more like a sales pitch. We were wrong! For about 30 minutes we sat down with Jeremy, reviewed a 3D version of the design (Amazing) and then went line by line through the quote to answer questions. Not once did we feel pressured to give them the thumbs up or put down a deposit. While their quote may not have been the cheapest, the design, quality, and thought that went into it sold us on the entire package. Over the next few weeks we worked with the Centerpoint Team on getting HOA documents prepared and submitted, finalizing the plant list, and also scheduling a construction start date. Special shoutout to Meghan, the Office Manager, who fielded my calls and questions about every little detail. Not to mention she would communicate with us on every slight change in schedule to make sure we were prepared for the start of the job. Originally our construction was supposed to last about six days, but ended up going a few days over, which was no issue for us because we were notified of the delay prior. I can't say enough good things about the construction team. They were extremely courteous of our property, took their time with each piece of the project, and we could tell that they cared about the quality of their work. I am giving Centerpoint Landscaping Services (CLS) a 5-star rating for its design and installation of landscapes for the front and backyard of my new home. CLS designed, planned and executed the project to my full satisfaction. The members of CLS, from management to working crew, were professional and responsive. Any questions, issues or concerns were promptly addressed. After learning my interest in having a contemporary/Japanese style landscape that will complement my backyard mural of Mt. Fuji, Steven (the President) assigned Mark (who did studies of Japanese architecture in Japan) as my architect. Mark was the right architect to design my contemporary garden. He understood what I envisioned; synthesized my input and emerged with a design concept very much what I was looking for! Mark was aware of my high expectations and worked diligently with the mural artist to make sure the landscape design would complement the mural and that the work schedules of mural painting and landscape installation would not be in conflict with each other. I was also impressed with the 3D design technology used to provide a realistic view of the landscapes of my front and backyard. Since I knew what I would like in my yard but had little or no knowledge of trees and plants, I had a lot of questions. Mark was patient and took the time to enlighten me on that subject. Mark Johnson and the Centerpoint Landscaping team were wonderful from the beginning and completely honest about the undertaking of our tremendous backyard project. We had major issues with drainage previously and had no clue how to design a nice backyard. With his extensive knowledge, Mark guided us through our renovation journey. My original appointment with Centerpoint Landscaping was on May 17, 2022 for a front yard design on my 1/2 acre lot. I met with Greg Samples and we discussed some design ideas. I presented some other quotes I received but was clear in mentioning that I wanted to upgrade some items and realized the design element (that was missing from said quotes) would be included in Centerpoint's fee, so I knew it would be more expensive. I was asked to email a few design ideas after our meeting and did so. I was also told I would be contacted in a few weeks to schedule an appointment to review the design and estimate. On June 28th, 2022, well over a month later, I received this response which is the exact opposite of what I had communicated. I first met with Jason who looked at the mess I had let my yard become and gave me an estimate for what it would be to get it back in shape. Jason did an excellent job putting in the landscaping in our backyard including around a pool we were having built. He also extended our driveway and enhanced the existing builder-provided front landscaping. He suggested adding a fire pit that has really been a great gathering spot even when it's summertime. The landscape design is beautiful even though it's low maintenance. Jason suggested outdoor lighting which makes the yard pop at night and easy to use in the dark. I contacted Centerpoint for landscaping design to which they did a great job on the design. They failed to inform me prior to paying a $10,000 deposit that they could not start the job for 5 months! This was crucial information in order to make an informed decision. Had I known that they were booked so far out, I would have contacted another company for my project. The office manager said that all companies are booked this far out but I found another company to start immediately. I reached out to the owner Steve who tried to cover and say that his team is always up front with timelines. It wasn't until after I paid the deposit and signed the contract that they provided a timeline. The owner Steve refuses to give any refund from my deposit and is trying to justify the $10,000 that I paid so he doesn't have to refund me. They are claiming their design fee is $10,000 despite their website stating they give "free estimates." read more

I know I annoyed Steve while we were in the planning phases. I had my own ideas and Centerpoint worked with me every step of the way. I reviewed every line item and we discussed why the price was what it was. But I appreciate the time spent and the product results. It was a lot of work - barren new backyard and a slight update to the builder grade landscaping in the front - all on a single income budget. The crew was always on time, polite and they worked so hard. Their work is above average in quality. My neighbors say the front is the prettiest in the neighborhood.
