We saw big bully turf at a rock the block event where they offered a special discount to get a quote. We decided to look into it, as our natural grass was becoming difficult to maintain. Our sales consultant, James, was amazing. His design was so beautiful that we actually decided to move forward with the project. He was so knowledgable & helpful throughout the entire project. He helped walk us through the HOA approval process & the water rebate program. As first time single family home owners, we really appreciate how much he helped us. We also loved how he was helpful with our budget by reusing stones we already had & let us go buy our own plants. Once everything was approved with the HOA, they were able to schedule the install very quickly. I wish we had received the instructions to clear out the yard / patio prior to the project starting, as everything was kind of rushed together. They said it would take 2 days, and it actually took 3 (plus they had to come back a 4th day for some additional clean up work). Our project manager, Michael, came by once to check on things. He was so knowledgable about the irrigation system for our trees & spent extra time helping me reprogram our system. I also appreciated that he stopped by again when we had issues with it just to be 100% sure everything was working properly. The reason I am not giving 5 stars, is we are really disappointed they didn't do a full clean up of all the leaves in the backyard. If we had known this, we would've blown all the leaves on top of the grass, because that's all they removed. It was disappointing to see all of the leaves & debris around the backyard at the end of the job. They also left 2 large brick dividers (guessing they dug them up while removing the grass) askew on the back palm tree, along with a discarded grass sprinkler head, which was also disappointing. They could've asked if we wanted to keep the bricks or throw them away, but instead it was just left sloppy by our tree. We just expected a little bit higher quality of service for the price. We also still have 2 construction cones from the river rocks they left sit for a few days, which they eventually came & got the rocks, but left the cones. We are also missing part of our hose now. They also didn't have a plan for us to fill in the trees out front. They said we could go get mulch, but we just spent so much money & wish we had known beforehand we had more to do ourselves after. So just overall a few little things regarding the installation that added up to a little disappointment in quality of service. Overall happy with the sales process, friendly service, and quality of materials. James & Michael both went above & beyond to help us, so we are really appreciative of their high level of service. read more

Not sure about the sales process. I was quoted and accepted the bid price and drawing of final installation specs. We purchased this product in the fall of 2025. By December (2025), our GSD puppy had worn a path in the turf by running through it. A representative inspected the worn area, and we were later advised that the damage was caused by our dog (duh), and was not covered under warranty. The product is misrepresented during the sales process. The name itself ("Big Bully Turf") is misleading. This is VERY inferior product. DO NOT BUY THIS TURF IF YOU OWN DOGS THAT PLAY IN YOUR YARD! In addition, the customer support we received was inflexible and unyielding to correct the situation. If zero stars were possible, I would have selected that option without reservation. The only positive thing I have to say is in regard to the workers. They were great, and did an exceptional job with the prep and installation. Overall, this was a very expensive mistake. On July 6 "Hannah" responded to my post. Her response was incorrect in that the quote they provided was for a small patch of turf the size of an orange where our puppy pulled the turf out with his teeth. The quote was for $300. BBT did not offer a resolution for the worn area depicted in the photos. That's why there was no further correspondence after 1/13/2026. Bottom line: BBT does not stand behind this inferior product if there is the slightest wear, or damage. They are only concerned with their profit margin, or so it would appear. read more

We had an appointment last evening with Big Bully Turf to review ideas for our golf-course backyard. While we knew they were a premium company, the consultation started at 6:30 PM, and the representative did not leave until almost 10:30 PM. The experience was incredibly pushy. At the end, the representative was visibly upset about not getting the sale, refused to look me in the eye, and left without even saying thank you. The tactic of giving an artificially inflated quote just to apply deep discounts is outdated and exhausting. Turf looks great, but the install was not handled well, project manager never arrived the day of install. Coordination was very poor, called Bully Turf the day before installation and couldn't get an arrival time or even confirm our appointment. Day of install was the same resonse, didn't know the install was actually happening, until they arrived with material. Work completed and all workers departed, no notice that work was completed. No contact after install from project manager, except an email for payment. I would choose a company that is more concerned with customer service. read more

Very disappointed with Big Bully Turf's customer service. They came out to my home to do a site audit and told me to look out for windows that could reflect the sun and burn the artificial grass. There were no windows, so I was given the all-clear. My yard has a metal fence, they never mentioned that sun reflecting off it could burn the grass, otherwise I would never have installed turf there. After a few months the grass started burning from the fence reflection. When I called and sent a photo, the representative instantly identified the fence as the cause, which tells me this was something they already knew about, yet failed to flag during the site audit. They are now asking me to cover the full cost of replacement and repair for something they missed. First and foremost, I'd say this company has a great turf product and it looks great in our backyard. The entire process however, not so much. The consultation went well and James did a great job designing the space and answering all our questions. It seems like the sales consultants have wiggle room in their pitch and can offer you "discounts" and move on the price. Make sure if you use this company, to ask about discounts so you're not paying their full marked up price. Once we came to an agreement, we were told scheduling was 2-3 weeks out and we would be contacted to schedule a date for install. 3 weeks passed, nobody reached out, and I had to call the company myself. We finally got on the schedule an additional 2 weeks out, and were told the project would take about 2 days to complete. The week of our install came and I got a call from the company, stating their truck had broke down, and they needed to reschedule. Two weeks later the installers came and did an awesome job getting the yard ready, laying the turf, and starting a retaining wall. We were informed they did not order enough blocks for the retaining wall and would have to come back to finish. A few weeks later they came back with the block and mostly finished the wall. However, they informed us they didn't order enough cap bricks for the wall and would have to come back again to complete the job. Throughout the course of the project, we were in contact with our project manager and sales consultant who provided little remedy other than "thank you for being patient." The communication was poor throughout the process. I asked to be put in contact with a supervisor. The supervisor also provided little remedy for the situation other than answering general questions about the project and expressing that she wanted to get the job completed soon. The crew finally came back and finished up and it is a big improvement on what the yard looked like before. The install crew was the best part of the project and seemed to be the only ones who were forthcoming with information on the project. Overall, working with this company was delay after delay and poor communication about what was happening. I would recommend buying the turf directly from the company and having someone else install it. Hopefully this review can let others know what to expect when dealing with this company. read more

We were expecting about 4 days but it was finished in 3 days. Pepe n his crew were right on it. Working hard every day in that hot over 100 degree temp. They must really love their job. I was peeking in the window where I can see out but they can't see in and I heard a couple of the workers singing out loud. ( it made me smile). Unfortunately I can't say my experience with Big Bully was anything great. I was sold on a bunch of open promises. Had a series of miscommunications. First had my install moved up but then due to issues with wrong product being delivered or not delivered and weather had to move the install to a later date. Then they showed up late in the afternoon on my rescheduled day and only did half the install. Had to end up returning 3 times to complete the install of the turf. I was promised a one day install that would be easy and seamless process. Now having a the turf for a week. I have already had them come back twice to fix things. To have turf installed is an investment and is expensive. I went with this company because I believed that they offer a good product and take pets into consideration, especially when it comes to odor. Well here is the deal, the turf this turf isn't anything special. Now mind you, I know there will be some odor and routine maintenance necessary like all turf. This just isn't anything special. The installation: they used old rusted nails for the install. How do I know, well my dogs pulled up the edge within one week of it being installed. How did they do that? Easy when the minimum amount of nails were used and if they are old. So what now? They have a warranty on the turf for installation purposes. I'm still waiting for them to fix my turf and this happened in April. Constantly leaving messages. The project manager I spoke to ( I won't leave the name out of respect for privacy) would say he would follow up or call back on a specific date but never does. Then he will say, "nobody called you?" Well duh or I wouldn't be calling back. Then he will say, " oh which property is this? I'm working on so many I can't keep up." Mind you this is after providing the address and explaining the concern. When was the last time I called. Saturday. Asking for a call Monday. Nothing. Oh and I still don't have a direct person to talk to because they keep passing the buck. Meanwhile I have pieces of lawn furniture down on the edges so the dogs won't dig it up any further. Don't waste your time with this company because the customer service and installation process are poor. By the way I have two stars instead of 1 because the sales associate tried her best to get me to the right people even though this is not here area. I do appreciate the effort. read more

Extremely disappointed with BBT's customer service. When I reached out they refused to give any sort of estimate without sending someone to my house - this should've been enough of a red flag. I discussed getting a quote and was VERY clear multiple times about my budget and not wanting to waste anyone's time. I gave specific measurements, paver type, turf type, etc --- and they assured me they were in the $4.25/sf price range installed for my project. I arranged my entire day around their visit to confirm and imagine my surprise when they quoted me $18/sf!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS and a complete waste of everyone's time. Two years after giving Big Bully a five star review and after having this turf, we are very disappointed. We are not new turf owners. We have had fake turf for over 30 years now. Wanted to try something new so we gave Big Bully a chance since they came in with the lowest price, I guess you get what you pay for. We have a lot of weeds peeking through the turf and the quality is definitely not what we expected or agreed to for the long haul. Kind of makes me wonder and question whether or not the sample we approved was actually the turf that they installed because it looks like crap right now. We are only two years in and this grass looks old and REALLY pathetic. We were told we would NEVER have weeds I trusted them and then when I called to complain, REPEATEDLY, not even one year later (well under the warranty date for the install), , they finally sent someone out to just shut me up to spray a little weed block. One year later we have yet even more weeds again and worse than before,! NEVER in 30 years of owning fake turf have we ever had weeds, now we have a bunch of them, I called them immediately and they told me they do not cover weeds that is not with the sales person told us he promised us. We would "never have weeds." That was a huge concern of mine because I know chat is not cheap and a lot of companies skimp on it. This one was no different . I blame their installation policies. They do not seem to use enough chat underneath the actual "grass" to prevent weeds from happening. They also never put (or offered), underlayment under the rocks that they laid. I didn't need to think that I would have to babysit them to make sure that they were doing what the standard practice is for any normal landscaper laying rocks on dirt. I now have weeds poking up through the rocks too as well as having areas that are now "peeking up" that were never secured properly with the right amount of nails. This is going to have to all be redone at some point. Just a VERY disappointing experience, two years later because we were so excited in the beginning and it all looked so beautiful. Updating my review to one star. Wish I could rate them a zero as I DEFINITELY would. ! BUYER BEWARE! read more
