We often found workers sitting around on their phones for extended periods, and it wasn't until we took the initiative and called Big Bully and inquired that we understood the situation. Alex, one of the project managers (not a sales rep), was fantastic. He took the time to review our project, made custom adjustments to meet our needs, and provided a clear explanation of the process after my initial call to address our confusion. We give Alex a well-deserved 5 stars -Thanks Alex! When the project wrapped up, there was no farewell or even an offer for a final walkthrough to ensure everything met our expectations from our sales rep or the company. It's disappointing to think that after spending thousands, we received no follow-up for feedback or acknowledgment. Instead, it feels like they moved on to the next project immediately. Interestingly, the final bill arrived promptly. Overall, while the product is great, most of the service experience fell flat...and is is why we gave them a 3 = just OK. From start to finish the whole process was smooth and well organized, starting with my fantastic salesman Douglas. When Douglas first came over for my free estimate, I originally just intended on getting the quote and possibly getting my yard done sometime next year, but his presentation was so terrific as he explained what the company could do for my plain desert landscaping, the steps, the time frame and the reasonable price, I was sold and signed up on day one. We decided to redo our backyard with Big Bully Turf after a botched makeover with another company. Rich came out and met with us, looked around the yard, and those wheels in his head started turning! He said, this yard needs color! It's too brown! And he was right. The artificial turf was defective and there is a patch of burnt turf in it. We are very disappointed and have reached out to Big Bully Turf multiple times to get this resolved and repaired. No response from them at all to any of our inquiries. They do not stand behind their work and would never recommend them and would not use them again. As a general contractor in Las Vegas for over 30 years, I have dealt with all kinds of sub-contractors, and I have to admit I fell for the sales pitch. He said all the right things I look for and felt comfortable with the size of the company. They make you feel welcome and that you are so important. How the project manager is going to be there the whole time to make sure it gets done correctly. This happens right up until the time they get your deposit, then everything is done by text or email. They give you almost no notice of when they are going to be there and if you have plans already scheduled that day, you get pushed. They basically allow one day for install and the crew only has what the office tells them and will not vary from that no matter what you ask and when there done there are done and charge you the balance on the same day with whatever card you used for the deposit, even if you have concerns. Now comes the fun part as you try and get ahold of the project manager that sold you on this. I texted and called for days and finally called the office and had to leave a message only to be texted and emailed back stating any changes I would be charged to do. I kept trying to explain I did want a change I just wanted it to be usable, finally they sent a crew out at 3 in the afternoon after telling me at 1 that day and I said OK I wouldn't be there, but they could go in the back yard, all of this by text which never got relayed to the field so they showed up and left. So, I had to start over again. The next time I was here and met the crew and explained what I wanted and he agreed that's what should be done, however that's not what the office said so he was going to have to get their approval and I said OK. I walked back into the house and the next thing I knew they left. So, we started again. I still was trying to get ahold of the first guy that sold me this and finally I got a text reply that he was walking out of a meeting and if he could call me, I said sure but never heard from him. I did finally get a call from what I assume was his boss sounding concerned and would meet me when he got back to town. We scheduled a meeting and he showed up and we talked and I explained to him my concerns that there was a giant hump in the middle that need to be leveled out and there were soft spot in the green where they did not compact it properly and he agreed and said he would schedule it, once again short notice but i could be here. The two-man crew showed up and began work. They never asked me a question even when I went out to look at the progress. Once I could see they had tried to level the bump and were trying to compact the soil I found in area where they did not even put sand on the edging. I asked if they could fill that in so it wasn't so steep I was told no and that was that. While they did reduce the hump, they did not contour the remaining green to reflect the change creating additional problems. They over did the sand topping and now the green looks two toned. I have never heard back from anyone in the company even after leaving text messages on his phone expressing my disappointment. I would not recommend this company to anyone of my clients, and I hope the review will help someone not make the same mistake I did and believe the sales pitch along with, horrible customer service and no communication skills read more

Completely regret our decision going with Big Bully. We received 3 turf estimates & ultimately decided to go with them even though they were the most expensive. Mainly for thickness & warranty of turf. Our sales person gave us a quote for what we understood to be the entire yard yet they only completed half for the price we were given. WE were clear in what we wanted and stated after our pool install we didn't want to fix the irrigation in the back or mow, we wanted turf throughout & stone on the back wall. The cost went down after adding more concrete to our deck= less turf during a second visit we had, but it seemed like at this point he just deleted half our yard to lower the cost. We never received a layout, or even a contract. When it was install day they only completed half of the yard. Once we tried to partner with the sales person, no response then he denied it, never took ownership, & said we needed to pay more to finish the job. He argued with me through text that he did what my other half wanted & never would answer the phone. I called Big Bully 3 days in a row & all they do is take a message to "pass along." Never a call back. I finally managed to get the number of the sales mgr that was also onsite for our quote. No accountability only let me see what kind of deal we can get you for the other side of the yard. We have this on video. All of the conversations of us discussing what we wanted & both sales ppl measuring the entire yard. What about the mess up of the original sales person??And does no one else exist in this company to take care of customer concerns with the sales team?? We move forward & fix sod in front yard since the Bully team said they could work around this when they come back out to complete the other half, however when the second half of the yard is completed our sod is ruined. They also chipped a 2x4 in our gate. They also never made anything right & wouldn't move forward without more money. The lack of communication within the whole company is horrible. If they don't know the answer they won't respond. They won't take your calls & will take days to come to a conclusion for you. There is apparently no one over the sales team. They basically swindled us in to a deal & I will forever regret not going with a different company. Our sales person Thomas was brand new and had his boss Brandon with him during the quote. This was clearly a mess up from Thomas & someone should've taken ownership of the mistake. They are clearly trained as to what to say & not say to not take accountability & ownership of mistakes as to just raise the bill for the customer. We received a quote for our entire backyard, and only half was complete. That is on Big Bully, & Thomas for quoting us too low. Own your mistake. You should've finished the job as intended, you should've provided me a contract and a design to approve. Whole experience was an absolute nightmare! read more
