Just adding on one more bad review, seriously this place is run/staffed poorly. Long and short of it is that they cracked my oil pan the last time they serviced it. I saw noticed the damage after I decided to start doing oil changes myself, $140 for a basic change?? No thanks. Anyhoo the drip never got noticed because it absorbed into the undercarriage cover piece. And yeah I was a little late on changing the oil myself and making the appointment. Life is busy. I even had a video and showed them the spot getting wiped clean, and leaking oil. They STILL claimed that even though they saw the "mark" in the video, that is was leaking from the washer. Terrible service and I made sure to tell them everything on my mind. Stay away. Seriously . The service adviser Steve is a major bs artist. Be warned if you decide to go anyway. read more

Service department is slow, inefficient, and has a lack of loaner vehicles. My dumb ass keeps coming back since I'm stuck with my current cars for now. Had plenty of Hyundais over the years never buying one again. Maybe a different dealership would be better just don't bother with this place save yourself the headache. read more

I was wronged by an employee here recently. Had it been handled correctly from the start, I wouldn't even be writing this. (I'm a laid back and kind human being and I always stand up for what's right.) So anyway, the manager (Ray) immediately came to the defense of his employee, treating me like I was the villain, while also speaking to me in a condescending manner. Then he tried to rush me off the phone, like he couldn't even be bothered to hear my side of things. That didn't sit right with me at all. This whole "issue" was based on how his worker treated me in the first place! This was a classic case of someone turning absolutely nothing into something and something quite negative, at that. I won't stand for it. Again, I did not appreciate how he was condescending and how he tried to give me orders/tell me what to do. I'm not an employee of his and I certainly don't answer to him. He'll never boss me around. Once more, I did not appreciate being turned into the villain, when I was the one being disrespected to start with. Ray's unnecessary macho bs and his handling of the situation are why I'm giving this review one star. He was dead wrong and I didn't like the way his actions (and the other employees actions) made me feel. It wasn't cool on his part. There is no place for that in today's world and it's totally unprofessional. People need to be held accountable for their actions. I hope anyone reading this has a better experience than I did if they do business here. I hope Ray and the receptionist with the maroon hair learn (and mature) from this. Time will tell. read more

Had to update my review by saying today's experience was exceptional. EVERYONE I interacted with was courteous, professional, and helpful. I especially enjoyed working with Dominick who was not only jovial and seems to really enjoy his job, but was also thorough in explaining what needed to be done and about how long it would take. I could even overhear his conversation with another customer and the care with which he handled her situation was genuinely refreshing, and top tier customer service. Grateful for good people and great service. read more

I gave Centereach Hyundai a second chance and regret it. Several months ago, I brought my Hyundai Ioniq 5 in for service and my white seats were returned dirty. I complained and was told they were sorry and would take extra care of my vehicle in the future. When I recently returned for a tire rotation and wheel alignment, I specifically requested seat and floor protection because of that previous experience. At approximately 3:20 PM, I called to see if my vehicle was ready, since the service department was closing at 4:00 PM. I was told to head over. When I arrived, the vehicle was still on a lift with the wheels removed and was then moved to another lift for the alignment. The work was clearly not finished despite being told it was ready. I was then told the vehicle was being cleaned before delivery. When I got into the car, the seats were dirty again. The service advisor agreed and the vehicle was taken back for additional cleaning. When I got home, I found dirt on the driver's door sill, marks on the interior door panel, and shortly afterward received a tire-pressure warning. The TPMS showed tire pressures ranging from approximately 27 PSI to 43 PSI immediately after a tire rotation and alignment. The following morning, the service manager apologized and offered a car wash coupon. I declined because my vehicle has paint protection film, ceramic coating, and a ceramic-coated interior and is hand washed only. What bothers me most is that this happened after a prior complaint and after I specifically requested protective measures. This is a vehicle I purchased, not leased, and I expected much better care and attention to detail. While the staff members I spoke with were polite and apologetic, the overall experience left me with little confidence in the dealership's service department. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for future service. read more

I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience. I encountered significant issues during my purchase process that potential buyers should be aware of. During financing, I discovered a $3,000 discrepancy between the agreed-upon sales price and the final invoice amount. This was not explained upfront and only became apparent when I carefully reviewed the paperwork. When I attempted to resolve these concerns, I found the management team extremely difficult to reach. My calls were not returned, and I was redirected to customer service representatives who lacked the authority to address my issues. Key concerns: Final pricing did not match initial quotes Lack of transparency in the finance and sales process Poor management accessibility and accountability Inadequate follow-up on customer complaints I strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to thoroughly review all documentation before signing, get everything in writing, and be prepared for potential discrepancies between advertised and final pricing. There are more reputable dealerships in the area that offer better transparency and customer service. read more

Do not come here to get your vehicle serviced. The last few times I was waiting 2+ hours for simple services. I tried to give them another chance - I came today for an oil change and tire rotation. Was told an hour and half. Okay, not great but sure I'll wait. It has now been almost 3 hours and the service is still not done. Again this is only for an oil change and tire rotation. I asked when will my vehicle be done? The response is "it takes time, it's not just an oil change it's an inspection too, etc". Okay, so why has it only taken an hour in the past then? And at other dealerships/ service centers? Disgusting. Wasting people's time. Never coming back. read more

I would never buy a used car from this dealership! Not only did they try to sell me a car with 4 bald tires. They almost sold me a car with an open recall which is illegal!!!!! I was about to sign the contract after providing them insurance when they dropped that bomb on me that they don't have a fix for the recall and can provide a loaner vehicle until my new purchase could be fixed. They had no idea when the car would be available, but I would I to start making payments right away!!! Never buy a car from this dealership! Buyer beware!!!!! read more

Genuinely the most off-putting service center I've ever been to. No clear signs on where to wait, where to bring your car, and everyone is staring at you like you're an inconvenience to their day. Never coming back for any service on my vehicle. I love my Elantra, but will absolutely be taking it somewhere else. read more

Found a used car on Centereach Hyundai's website. Made an appointment. Didn't haggle at all. Delt with a nice young salesman Nicholas P.. You would assume that after agreeing to the price Centereach listed, the deal would be done. Not true, after agreeing to their listed price, here came the Used Car Sales Manager. (A very important and intimidating title) A sloppy looking guy, definitely a degenerate car salesman in a previous life. Hey, we've all met him. He comes over to me and says he can't sell the car for his own listed price. He said he needed 2000 dollars more. When I asked, why then you would put that price online, he had the balls to say, we do that to get customers in the door. When I said to him that seems a bit deceptive, he said, it is but that's how we do it to get you here. I told him the 2000 dollars above his asking price was unacceptable and I left. I can't say for sure that this this old shoe represents the entire Centereach family, but I will say this, stay away from the used car department. You will end up meeting Jerry the Used Car manager. A guy, who sits behind a computer with off the rack slacks, a cheap button up shirt and an attitude straight out of a low budget wise guy movie. Jerry, in an attempt to convince himself he's still relevant, will show up at the perfect time, to try to swindle potential customers out of their hard eared money. He probably gets away this more often than not, but not today. That guy is definitely someone ownership should consider putting out to pasture. read more

This place is horrible and they are thieves! Took my car there, and they kept it for a month after 2 different quotes just to tell me maintenance neglect because they didn't want to cover it under warranty. They left ny car a mess! Took some screws apart and left them sitting in the hood, left parts they took apart just sitting in my car. called the manager about the issue no response or call back! Horrible place , after calling about a truck and showing some interest they then called me for 2 weeks to get me to come down to check it out , we talked about pricing we talked about how it's all negotiable and how great the deals are, so I finally called in to work and took the 45 min ride down where I found out the truck was 3 grand more, they put a different price down so it would say great deal on the apps nothing was negotiable because the truck was too "new" it was a 2013 such a waste of time, they also have another 900$ fee for them to go through the car and fix things before I would get it, just a horrible experience I would not go back or recommend read more

Here's the Scoop! Decided to check this dealership out because of a commercial. Howe ever upon getting there on the snowy and cold. The lot was flooded and we were able to test drive the Santa Fe but the Sonata Limited Electric car which was what we came to see was not available to test drive. We were short on time so we rescheduled to try again next week. I hope the weather will allow us to test drive the Sonata. Service was very good. Paul was very helpful and knowledgeable about the cars and incentives being offered for electric cars. Looking forward to our follow-up visit. read more

Got a call from Chris, internet sales. Very personable we talked and laughed. He originally called about the sale my wifes Santa Fe . I told him I was selling it privately and we already put a deposit on a Tucson limited, his response was very nice Good luck. I then asked if he had any Tucson limiteds in stock around the same price. He responded let me look. After checking inventory he came back with two cars, one that had the same amount of mileage a year older and the other same year that had 13,000 on it approximately. I asked him the price he said 24900 and asked if I would be interested in coming down and taking a look. I said absolutely. I'm only 20 minutes away and I'm coming. I got there and I was introduced to the salesperson that would be handling me, her name was Brianna. I explained to her that I already picked out a car and put down a deposit but Chris had told me about a car that was going to be available and I told her the price and she responded "oh no" that car is $26,900. I said well I really didn't want to spend $2,000 more. She immediately responded. There are a lot of prices on a lot of different cars and this one was $26,900 after a long story back and forth I told her I would like to see the car. She then responded saying that the car may have already been sold , And went on to say that this is a very low mileage car. I didn't like her attitude, or the way she was speaking. In addition, the $2,000 didn't scare me because I was going to buy my wife a $43,000 Genesis that she didn't like. But with the attitude I was already turned off. I was Global sales manager for my last company and if one of my sales people would have been reported to have the attitude that I received, I would have fired them. After her looking around for nearly 20 minutes I was wa told it was locked in the shop and it couldn't be seen until Monday. I said well it wasn't meant to be and said goodbye. Truth is after that experience I would not do business with Centereach Hyundai now or in the future. Good Luck... read more

My parents (aged 81 and 83) were taken advantage of by Scott the salesman and John the finance guy. It's the old story of my parents going there just "to look" and ending up spending the whole day there until they were so exhausted they just signed their life away. When I reviewed their paperwork after they got home, I saw that not only did John "slip in" the useless extended warranty (almost $5,000!!!), but locked them in for $533 monthly payments! Folks, my parents got $7,000 trade in and put down $7,500 in cash on a 33,000 car. Make it make sense!! I went back today to have them cancel the service contract (I read the fine print, and my parents had 30 days to cancel), which would hopefully lower their payments. Well of course, my dad recognizes the salesman and he doesn't wanna talk to us at first (we all know they are falling all over you before you buy, but don't wanna know you if you come in with a problem), then says we gotta see the finance guy, John. We get shown to John's office and it's like someone dumped an entire bottle of cologne in there, ughhh. I tell John that my parents don't need the extended service contract and that I didn't appreciate him taking advantage of my elderly parents. He starts raising his voice saying that they knew exactly what they were signing, and told him they wanted it. Then he agrees to cancel it, but says the rate will then go up from 5.8 to 9.8!!! Raising their payments from $533 to $723!!! Wtf? I told him look for other financing, lower rates. He says this is the best they are going to get. And that he doesn't HAVE TO do this for them, but if it will make them happy to cancel it... No John, raising their payments to $723/month will NOT make them happy, idiot. I told my dad, let's get out of here, that he's not going to help us. And he stands up and says "I'll cancel it, if that's what they want!" Like he's doing us some big fat favor. Bottom line: DO NOT give Centereach Hyundai your business. Bunch of slimy crooks that take advantage of local seniors. read more

Finally I had to drop it off and get the work done. I was charged the deductible and for the alignments. Honestly they all should've been comped I never got a loaner in a month and a half? My Daughter went down with my Dad to get a decent car they sold her a 2019 hyundai tucson I live in SC and she lives in Boston first month two flat tires a hassel to get them to reimburse the work at her local dealer along with 5-6 minor issues 6 months later the catalytic convertor went then barely 2 weeks later the engine blew. The service at the dealership up in Boston was excellent they were able to replace both under hyundai;s warrantythen two weeks later it needed brakes and the secondary catalytic convertor. When I contacted the centereach Hyundai to express my frustration with this car I found out that that was the third engine replacement Only had 60k on it when purchased. Clearly you can hear the trouble with the steering column once you drive it ?? Took 5 1/2 hours to get my car into the garages? I had a 7am appt. ( not 1st this happened even while I was sitting there it took over an hour after appt time to ask me about it ) now it's Tuesday morning and I have no car. Thanks Hyundai for your concern. They did not even have the courtesy to call to say the vehicle would not be ready for a Monday evening pick up. I was in the market for something new. Not going to use this dealership. BUYER BEWARE: I've dealt with multiple dealerships over the years. Centereach Hyundai is by far the worst experience I've ever had. The salesman was nice, but was completely preoccupied with making his monthly quota, and let me know he needed my sale to come in at the end of last month so he could make his "number". I had a personal issue and couldn't pick up my new car until Saturday. This was not acceptable to him because Saturday was in the new month. He did however offer to pay my last months payment on an SUV I was handing in, as long as I got the insurance binder before the end of the month, to meet his quota. I complied and got it done. I picked up my car on Saturday morning, and had major problems. The finance person ran my credit twice before realizing that the car was going to be in my wife's name. We are both Tier 1, but I wanted my wife to establish more credit. Upon meeting the finance person, I explained I wanted the hard inquiries removed from my credit report. They said they were going to write a letter to get it removed. They never did it. I was also told by finance to stop the auto payment on my previous lease because the dealership was going to cut a check, as per our verbal agreement. I gave finance the account information to have it paid. The dealership sent out a check through the mail five days later. As of today, it still has not been paid. I called finance and told them that I would pay the last payment because I'm already five business days late. I don't want to take a credit hit because somebody is too lazy to do their job. I asked for a check to be wrote out directly to me and I'll pick it up. The bottom line is, Centereach Hyundai DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. They only care about meeting their sales numbers and quotas. I, as a buyer, shouldn't be privy to sales practices and quotas. From the salesman to finance, they act like they're doing you a favor selling you a car. I pay my bills and have Tier 1 credit. They should be happy I want to get a car from them. Not the other way around. Saying I'm frustrated is an understatement!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CENTEREACH HYUNDAI. read more

Once she brought out the numbers my husband calculated everything and felt like he rather stay with our current car as we had gotten a very good deal on a 2021 Tucson.
