This is a nice ice hockey rink. They have three sheets of ice, with easy access between them, an adequately sized lobby area with an HD tv, a pro shop, a snack bar, and windows into two of the rinks allowing you to watch without having to go inside the rink.
The snack bar sells Vocelli pizza. I think it is an actual Vocelli, and has an external entrance so you don't have to enter the rink to get your pizza. They also sell coffee, I think it is fresh and not out of a machine, but it is not great tasting coffee. If you aren't in the mood for pizza, there are a slew of restaurants nearby on Rt 22.
The rinks themselves have aluminum bleachers, like most rinks, and are loud when the kids run, stomping their feet as they go. In the center rink (not sure about the other two) there is a safety netting to keep hockey pucks from hitting the fans in the bleachers, but it makes picture taking difficult. There is ample room to stand at the back of one of the goalie nets (not both) which is often a great vantage point for watching the battling in the corners and scrums in front of the net.
The score boards work well. There is also a board that displays shots on goal, which is also a fun stat to keep track of. The players benches and penalty boxes are on one side of the rink and the bleachers on the other. That helps a lot with being able to see the game.
There is ample parking in front, on the sides, and in the back of the rink.
All in all, this is a nice rink for ice hockey games and ice hockey tournaments. There is plenty for parents to do while waiting for the puck to drop. read more
