I don't want to be a customer of Shelley Eyecare any more. After being a loyal customer of Shelley…read moreEyecare for decades, I will not return. Over several visits, one specific employee has repeatedly damaged my eye wear. My frames have suffered stripped screws, broken nose pad wires due to over-bending, and most recently, melted/pitted temple tips caused by improper use of the heating beads. Despite my attempts to report these issues, nothing changed. When I finally had it and expressed my frustration, the staff was dismissive. I was told that "good customers get better service" and was told to take my business elsewhere. Absolutely I will. The employee in question has 40 years of tenure. I grew a backbone today and won't tolerate this any more. I highly recommend driving to Idaho Falls or Blackfoot instead. The local convenience isn't worth the repeated damage to your glasses. I've had good experiences at Parkway Eyecare in Idaho Falls. Previously the two offices worked together but I was recently told Shelley Eyecare is no longer affiliated with Parkway Eyecare.

Extremely frustrating experience, will not be going back, and do not recommend.

We were seen by PA Black, who spent less than 10 minutes with us. He diagnosed the bumps as unspecified dermatitis and prescribed two creams (Triamcinolone and Desonide). He also identified the bump on her foot as a wart but provided no treatment. The bill came to $328 after insurance adjustments. The billing code stated "OFFICE O/P NEW MOD 45 MIN," which didn't reflect the actual time spent or complexity of the visit. I left two voicemails with no response, visited the office in person, and was told the billing rep would call me back--she didn't. After multiple follow-ups, I finally spoke with someone who explained that the charge was due to her being considered a "new patient" (despite being seen five years ago) and the condition being "moderate," resulting in a level 4 charge. When I asked to speak with the provider who entered the code, I was told he likely wouldn't remember the case and is too busy. I was then directed to contact the CFO. I have no issue paying for services rendered, but this visit felt over-coded and the follow-up was frustrating and unhelpful. Just a heads-up to others: you may be charged significantly more than expected for what seems like a simple visit.

He interrupts, talks over me, visibly doesn't pay attention, and obnoxiously smacks his gum while he's talking. He loves to talk about himself and his family more than listening to what his patients have to say. Plus the office never called us to go over xray results. The front office is no better. Twice they overcharged me, and they messed up my son's appointment by mixing up his name/DOB with someone else's and then we had to wait around 45 minutes to be seen because they had to change the appointment time because of their mistake. You couldn't pay me to ever set foot in this office again. Kody has no business working with other humans, and the front office is completely incompetent.
