They really take the time to make sure you get what you want out of your hair. I have very thick and very curly hair and it is very hard to find anyone who knows how to work with it, I would put off getting a haircut as long as I possibly could because it was never a pleasant experience for me, I'd often leave in tears. But, I have…read moreto say.... gone are the years of my husband doing the iron bear hug on my son sitting in the bath tub on a stool as I painstakingly buzzed away [along with a great deal of crying and screaming and pleading, usually both on my part] (artfully, I might add) at my son's gorgeous head of hair. You see, as a parent of a special needs child, you need to really expound on 'their' true talents and plain ole born with qualities. My son has great hair. Let me say it one more time...MY SON HAS GREAT HAIR!!!!!!!.... We get constant, resolute, faithful, loyal, staunch. steadfast and perpetual, if not embarrassingly constant comments on his hair. You see, apparently, he has the hair color (and texture) that people pay a WHOLE LOTTA money for. The kid is 10. Now, as a parent of a special needs kid, I feel that I NEED to put the spotlight on his positives (the negatives are all too willingly apparent [he's a very high functioning soul]). We do "our" hair every day, rain or shine. Hat or not. Right now he's rocking a Rockabilly bouffant. My MIL and GMIL have been going to Cost Cutters for years now. They have their favs which are now my favs. Lindsay is the Manager, classic in stature and so sweet and soft spoken, she DOES make a statement and Jamie is a hard rocking, fast cutting mamma with crazy hair and super snip skills that could kick any boy, guy or girl's ass. She rocks. These girls absolutely rock!!! They are so talented! Check them out, it is SOOOOO worth it. We used to live 250 miles away. I got the into the habit of saving the HC appointments for when we visited family. Jeesh, that was a lot of visiting!! [and, they thought we only wanted to visit them!! LOL] CC has a no appt. rule except for chemical processing, but call ahead and see who's working. The 10, 15, or 20 minute wait is certainly worth it. Check this place out. Like I said, Lindsey is the Manager and her staff reflects her professional persona. If you live in the area, spot for the 3 coupon deal. Its worth it. Marie is as good as it gets when it comes to someone who knows how to cut hair and tailor it to each specific person and their needs/wants; she listens to the client and builds from there. The staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would also recommend Jerry Jones for any barbering needs.
