Would highly highly recommend taking it if you want to get into home brewing! Since then we have brewed our own brown ale and are working on a blonde now! I stopped back in for questions and everyone was eager to help and get me the things I needed! They also are very open to answering questions over the phone and email, especially if you aren't close to them! There's quite a bit of seating inside next to the tanks and some other additional room space, then in back a dog friendly outdoor area. Definitely check Tom's out even if you don't brew, it's really interesting to see the gear and suppliers brewers use and then enjoy a delicious freshly made brew in a glass!

Ehhhhh. This store is good, but not great. He has hops, malt and equipment (probably what you'll…read moreneed) but you may outgrow it. The owner is nice and polite, but not everything is up to snuff. He controls the malt mill which is nice. It produces a good crush without fiddling. His hops however, are stored in ziploc bags. They should be at least vacuum packed, not to mention in nitrogen filled packs. It leaves the, actually extensive, selection a bit dull on aroma and flavor. This kind of stinks. His malt selection, unlike the hops, is not extensive. The prices are also a bit high. I am comparing this all to Hop To It in Boulder. Hop To It has its own issues (see my other review) but I definitely prefer it. If it were not for the occasional lack of hops, a 30 min ride to go to Hop To It over the Bald Brewer would be absolutely worth it. Give each a shot. See what you think.

I'm a long time and frequent customer (but they didnt know that when I called)--and they actually called me back later after he had consulted the manager and left a voicemail with advice on the procedure and a recommendation for another store in town that would have the part. Great place, great stuff, great advice--all around customer service, highly recommend!
