My husband and I are from PA. While vacationing in Knoxville we played on this course twice. The grounds are beautiful and serene, exactly what one would want when playing golf. However, the tee boxes left something to be desired as many of them were unkempt. Also, the golf carts could use a bit more cleaning and full divet fillers as they were empty. Our post-round experience at the restaurant was fantastic, thanks solely to the bartender/server, Brenda Davis. Brenda is an amazing host - professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Indeed, we returned for a second round in part due to Brenda's excellent service. Thanks Brenda!! read more

Payed this course yesterday. Amazing views and beautiful course overall. It was well worth the money. After reading these reviews, I didn't know what to expect. I found it to be a challenging course with a few maintenance issues, which didn't hinder my play at all. read more

Course was in good shape but the play was dreadfully slow. Played 2.5 hours on the front nine waiting 10+ minutes at every tee. Worst part was I had 3 groundskeepers driving up on me while on the tee every single hole! Talk about annoying. Didn't even finish 18 I just left. Won't be coming back here. read more

Went to play several months ago for my bachelor party with my 3 of my buddies. Two of which have never played. When we got to the first hole, we were met with a grumpy old man who I guess was the golf marshal. We tried making some small talk but was having no luck with this guy. We get to maybe the 3rd or 4th hole and we realize that grandpa is following us. Mind you, my two newbie buddies weren't doing very well but we were playing scramble and keeping up with the pace of play. As we got to the next hole, another guy is behind us. He is by himself so we let him play through as we are a group of 4 and two of our guys are new. Next thing we know, the Marshall comes up to us and thanks us for letting the guy play through. But then proceeds to say the following. He says, "The golf course is for playing and the driving range is for practice. If y'all want to hit golf balls y'all can go to the range.". Mind you, there was hardly anyone out there and we weren't keeping up play. The one person we did see, we let him play through. We explained to him that we had paid our money like everyone else and we weren't being disrespectful. Of course, we were met with an all so serious response, "Golf is not a game." from the guy and then went on his way. I don't understand why their golf marshal felt the need to act like that in front of us, much less people who have never played before. Way to introduce people to the game of golf. I used to come here all the time and hit at the range often. Centennial was the golf course I would always recommend. Now I am never going back and I will always tell everyone to consider doing the same. read more

Centennial is a challenging, public 18-hole track located in Oak Ridge, but still only 10 minutes from West Knoxville. The course features bent grass greens and bermuda fairways. Prices range from $30-$40 for 18 holes with a cart. The large, public driving range is very popular too. The course is under new management as of 2018. What a beautiful golf course! We were visiting the area (from Green Bay WI), looking for land to build our retirement home. The GM Mike Callender was a wealth of information about the area communities! Brenda was an excellent bartender! Both had top notch customer service! The following morning, we enjoyed an amazing round of golf...one of the most beautiful courses I've ever played (and we golf 4-5 times per week!)! Golf side is ok. Waited a few minutes for someone to show up. After playing nine I could tell this course is not well kept. Stopped by the club house around 2:45. Two younger ladies sitting in behind the bar on what seemed to be buckets while the leash their latest Snapchat or tweet. No hotdogs, didn't ask if I wanted anything else nor to help. Seemed confused when I asked for service. This was on a Saturday. I've played golf all over the world. This was the biggest let down I've seen on definitely over one hundred courses played. This is a direct reflection of who manages this golf course. Y'all need to take a long hard look at how to run a club. I left after nine holes. Couldn't take any more of this horribly managed swamp they call a golf course. No stars to give. read more

This is my first ever Yelp review. I specifically made an account because of how poor the customer service was at this course. 1) Computers were down--had been for days according to the rude pro in the shop. As a result, I had to leave my card information. 2) The food and beverage area wasn't open. 3) There was an issue via GolfNow (NEVER book through them for this course--they have problems ALL the time per the rude pro), and when I tried to solve the issue the GM ignored my efforts to rectify the situation. Course was in poor condition considering the great weather we have had recently as well. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Over priced and poorly managed. Better to stay at home and chip in your back yard. read more
