The gym is full of free weights. Old and many are worn out, but still useable. Plenty of weights to cover the majority of bodybuilding. That is all good and well, though for cardio they only have 1 cardio bike that must be from the 1960's and a rower.
They gym is very cluttered but old-school. My biggest problem is the condition on the gym. It is just dirty. The changing rooms are freezing cold with an old electric bar heater on the wall, which does nothing to heat the large room. Dirty, worn out red tiles for the floor and the office across the way has full view of everybody changing.
The shower area is disgusting. No heating at all in that area and the showers are right beside 2 toilets. A dirty window is also next to the showers and most of the time it is wide open. The floor is dirty. The showers are moldy and freezing.
I thought it would be nice to hire a personal trainer at the place. What a waste of money that was. Besides being asked to buy the 1,000 pound priced 12 week physique course on near constant daily basis each time I met with the trainer, I had to then wait 3 weeks to get my supposed custom workout plan. It was so custom that others I met there were also going through the exact some routine. Despite the fact I mentioned many times about certain health issues and the exercises I can not do, my custom program me featured many exercises that I explicitly told them, I could not do. I believe he just emailed me a copy and pasted generic plan to get rid of me. After his 3 weeks of excuses as to why I had not gotten my programme that I had paid for.
I have since left this gym and for an extra 4 pounds per month I now train at a clean gym, that has a full cardio suit, full weight suit, sauna and even free classes etc. read more
