I wasn't as enthused about mine - the carrot ginger soup was mostly carrot, minimal ginger, and the breadcrumb-coated salmon was good, but nothing special. Frankly, I think the mashed potatoes were the best thing I had, quite indulgent. But I'd give the place another shot, and not just because everyone else loved it more than me.

The dining room filled up fast as we waited for our meals end enjoyed our beverages. Our dinners consisted of two Ducks, one Veal and one Lamb. All were perfectly prepared and delicious. My lamb Shank was "fall off the bone" tender and very very good. (The only negative was a table of four seated next to ours, apparently had forgotten to charge their hearing aids, enough said). Certainly warrants repeat visits, (I'll just bring extra batteries for neighboring table diners!)

Unfortunately this market for food has gone downhill. Have continued to try and order breakfast…read moresandwiches (because it's convenient and easy to pick up), and have been continuously let-down. Our last 5-10 orders have been wrong. They mix up the croissants and bagels (we tend to get the opposite of what we ask for), they give us RAW bacon (I've even tried asking for it extra, extra crispy), and leave off the aioli sauce I always ask for. Just 0 effort put in to making food. Not sure if they got a new cook, or new management, but this market's quality has noticeably gone down. Such a disappointment. Also note- some groceries in the store have the wrong price on their labels. Don't be surprised when you get to the register to check out, and it's way more expensive than you were planning for. Made them aware of this issue too- doesn't seem to be an issue for them.

You're greeted with a cold "you need to order here" like you're at a fast-food place. And you have to pay your tip in advance for what service? You don't know yet what you're tipping for. Despite the amazing menu, we started looking at it with a bad sense of discomfort. The food and coffee were delicious and presented beautifully, but the takeout cup was disappointing. Inside they have a long display with gelato flavors, pastries, and chocolates. They have a varied menu of desserts, fruits, salads, sandwiches, crepes, and breakfast items. I chose to have one of their crepes. It had chicken, mushrooms, and onions, in a creamy sauce served inside a freshly made crepe. I even watched the crepe being made. The filling, however, was pre-made. It was prettily served with a small side salad and an orchid flower. My husband chose a salmon salad. It had cured salmon (lox) with tomatoes and cucumbers over mixed greens. It came with a citrusy dressing. We had friendly pleasant service.

My husband had one of their breakfast specials, while I had something from the lunch side of their menu. He got their "Georgia Breakfast". It had two biscuits with sausage and cheese topped with sausage gravy along with two over easy eggs and grits. He said the biscuits were wonderful -- nice and soft inside. We were surprised to learn they were not house made, but from a food service company, Cheney Brothers. I got their crispy chicken club sandwich. The all white meat chicken was breaded and fried. It was very good. Came with a few strips of bacon, a large slice of red tomato, and a lettuce leaf. The bacon could have been a tad more well done. And the bun -- called a Kaiser roll on the menu -- was more like a hamburger bun. I didn't eat the bread. Got potato salad as my side. It was eggy and slightly sweet from the pickle relish. Good, but not my favorite. I had to get a biscuit to go -- just to try one -- and ate it in the car with the provided butter as my "dessert". Glad we got to try this place. Definitely a good option for breakfast. Although their pot roast special of the day looked appealing, too .
