I still cannot believe I have a flat stomach. I check every morning in the mirror and still cannot believe its me. I've never had a flat stomach and struggled with it all my life. This was really my first surgical anything. I was terrified. TERRIFIED. But I had been wanting to do it for so long and Dr. Ngo made me feel so comfortable and was completely honest with what to expect, so I scheduled it. Dr. Ngo and her staff are wonderful and I think I would have chickened out with anyone else. It really was a lot of fun visiting them. (you go back for check-ups). They explained everything completely. And I mean everything, from what to do before the procedure to what to expect right after the procedure and in the weeks following. Information overload. Everything I experienced had been foretold. I'll be honest, wearing that body garment wasn't fun, especially in the beginning, trying to get it on and off, and for the first couple days, the soreness, ugh. I'm a horrible patient , big baby with soreness. :) Anyways, it should be noted that it was soreness, not pain. I couldn't believe it myself when they described what it would be like, but, there it was, soreness, very sore!, but not painful. The procedure itself was, of course, not as bad as I had imagined. You are given a little relaxant, but you are completely awake through the entire process. Dr. Ngo and her assistant talk with you and laugh during the procedure. At one point, she indicated ".. the hard part is over.." and I was like, really? that was the worst? and it wasn't anything, really. Clearly, she knows what she's doing and is highly skilled. Of course, they use that numbing agent I think. Immediately following, I actually went home and worked for a couple hours from home. Had a conference call. then, as predicted, got extremely tired, and I rested. Dr. Ngo called to check and everything was going according to plan; being tired, fluid leaking into bandages, etc. honestly, I'm glad I had the weekend to adjust before having to go back to work, but I did not miss any work at all. I was lucky enough to be able to work from home during the beginning of the first week, but was back in the office at the end of the week. No one realized I had the procedure. I think my swelling peaked at week two, then it started to settle. With the swelling, you get anxious, wanting to see immediate flat stomach results, but you have to let the swelling go down. When I had the procedure, I was living in Anaheim CA. My company has since relocated me back east, so I need to get back so I can do a final before and after photo compare. But, I'll tell you what, I don't think I even need to see them. I am so much happier and feel great, AND, for the first time, I took off my shirt in front of people! Imagine that. Can't believe it myself. I just checked the mirror, yea, that's me with the flat stomach and slim jeans and no muffin top! I even got a compliment in my t-shirt, that I had a nice shape. ME! I got the compliment. Dr. Ngo, thank you!! I never thought you would have made this much of an impact in my life. You and your staff are great. Hello to all of you! Thanks. Bob P.S.
