The store itself is crowded and disorganized. It's a little dingey and rundown. For the price you pay, you'd be better fitted to stop by the Tonya Bottle Shop or make the trip to Total Wine. The biggest detractor is the customer service, if you can call it that. You can expect to wander aimlessly for ages before somebody even approaches to help you. There is one woman in particular who pulls an attitude every time I'm there. I understand retail is tough (I did it for 8 years), but again for the prices you pay you might as well go somewhere else.

One of two employees said "Aisle 1, freezer." I looked for 3 minutes. Didn't find it. Walked out of store, right by the guy still standing there, doing nothing. Drove over to Total Wine and was immediately helped. Returned home and told my wife why it took so long. Relayed my experience. She said, " Oh, I don't go there any more. Nobody is friendly"! I'll know better next time! Too bad I have to give 1 star to post!

Our service was great and our waitress was really knowledgeable. I really enjoyed all of the food we got but was disappointed in the size/amount of pieces in the king grab sushi roll for $28. Two of the pieces fell apart almost instantly after being picked up with chopsticks and the pieces of crab on the side were tiny! The rolls were good but for the price and amount of crab on the roll I couldn't justify ordering it again. The corn esquites side dish was incredible and I even ordered one to go for my husband to try! I would come back for this dish alone. The crispy rice and spicy tuna was tasty as well. Overall it's a gorgeous spot with good food and drinks but pretty expensive for portion sizes.

We ordered A LOT of dishes to share (see pics). I personally don't eat beef/porks/seafood but from what I did try the truffle edamame was good. They have a more of a bar food menu for HH but you can only order at the bar. We were able to slide in an order of fries. The space is nice but the menu was maybe too far out of my taste range (as a picky eater). They have a bit of a Japanese-Mexican fusion which is interesting. There used to be a place with this concept off of 394 by ridgedale mall (now it's an olive garden) but I wondered if this was the same place however this place is more upscale.

Another negative first impression -- most times I have to go through 4 pairs or so of stuck together hand baskets in order to find a single that isn't stuck to another one. EVERY TIME I GO THERE! One time I shook a pair in frustration so hard my watch's fall detector went off! Meanwhile, these young males stand idle, arms-crossed, glaring at customers checking out. I NEVER see them separating the hand baskets. When there are women assistants there, they help with carts and baskets, have pleasant expressions on their face.

Unlike others, they don't just make it once a day and let it sit around. They have a couple poke bowls that are good along with several rolls and sushi. I like the Chef's Special roll (they are actually all called "Chef's Special") with ahi tuna in the middle, wrapped in rice and topped with salmon, with chili and yum yum sauces, thin sliced jalapenos and dabs of sriracha on top. $12.95 Other things to find, there is a freezer near the coffee inventory where you can get frozen dough versions of their pastries, croissants, scones, cinnamon rolls, turnovers and the like. Making a reservation was super easy and the inside ambiance is so intimate. I came for a date night, but I could totally see a really fun girls night out here. I read some reviews before ordering and the reviews for food recs were spot on! The Parker Rolls were so delicious - a pretzel roll with 3 creamy butter options. And there was plenty of butter so you don't run out of it before you finish your rolls (big win!). I got the sweet corn cavatelli and my hubs got the lamb shoulder. Both were really yummy. I love that the cavatelli has a little spice to it as it really elevated that flavor profile. Definitely will be back! Really loved the experience and will stop by for post-dinner drinks sometime :)
