One of the reviews on this page states the lot has been moved. This one is exactly where it was the last few times we have visited. I have it 'starred' on my map so I can always navigate directly here. There are however other cellphone lots available in the area of Logan Airport so if your lot looks a bit different than the photos posted here, perhaps you are one of those. I see three lots on my map. This is just one of them. Traffic in this lot is 'one way'. You enter at the beginning edge of the lot and exit at the opposite end onto the same road. Once inside the lot, drive straight to the back and then loop around keeping in the same direction. This is a small lot and there is no room for vehicles to pass which allows for more parking spaces. Please be polite and keep to the direction of travel. There are no restrooms in this lot. After driving 90 minutes to the airport, then waiting another hour for the plane waiting at the gate (the door wouldn't open of all things) I needed a rest room. We ended up driving back to the terminal and parking curb side while we took turns using the public bathrooms on the arrivals level. Thankfully no one asked us to move, but be sure your bladder is empty (mine was two and a half hours ago) before heading to the airport. Definitely a convenient place to wait for your party while they deplane and gather their belongings. It's about ten minutes back to the arrivals terminal where pick-up is a whole other issue. This is a great concept for those waiting to pick someone at the airport....many and many more airports are including this feature to allow for cars to wait in a FREE parking lot until the arriving passenger calls to be picked up at the curb. I have been to this cell phone parking lot many times in the past several years and this last time, it seemed like the location had changed due to construction, the best thing is to enter this destination on Google Maps or Waze and the app will direct you to the right updated current location. The way to the exit is One Way, so it allows for an orderly traffic flow. From this lot to any of the terminals (A, B or C) is about 8-10 min....you make a left as you exit. This lot is crazy small for an international airport! It fills up really fast during busy times. It is also not super convenient to and from the pickup areas. The only positive is that you at least get to see planes coming and going while you wait. It is free and they do have trash receptacles. I agree with others that they should have a port-a-potty available since you never know how long you will actually have to wait. read more

Love the concept , but the exit from the lot to arrivals took me out of the airport. That was confusing, and difficult to navigate.

What can you say about a Parking Lot? The Logan Airport Cell Phone Waiting Lot whole lot in life is a free waiting area for people who are picking up people on arriving flights. The thought behind the lot is simple: rather than having people circling the airport, or waiting at the curb for people to come out, make a free lot available to people to while they are waiting to be called, via a cell phone, to the terminal when their party ready to be picked up. It's a pretty good idea, considering there's few free places to park near the airport, and the MSP really frowns upon sitting at the terminal curb too long. (Actually these days with the cell phone lot they're kind of nasty about it!). The Cell Phone Parking lot is located off the Airport Access road (near the Airport T station and the Shell). You can get to it either from the main airport exit/entrance (just follow the signs), or the the Access road (if you're coming from Eastie/Chelsea like me). It's a small lot and holds about 60 cars so there's always parking whenever I've been there. But since its really meant for a short waiting period, people are always coming and go. People tend to use the lot as directed by the sign. (No idling longer than 5 minutes, no waiting longer than 30 minutes, abandoned cars will be towed, and it's strictly enforced!). There's no facilities or vending machines (or even at trash barrel!), again its just a basic parking lot. There's a Shell and a Dunks near by. But I tend to just bring my own stuff with me, as I'm usually not there long. HOWEVER.. recently MassPort added a node to their free LoganWiFi network nearby. So while you wait, you can connect to FREE wireless.. Nice. My only real complaint is how you get back to the terminals. It seems like it just wasn't thought out well. And like a few other reviewers, I do remember the old lot, and it was a TON easier getting back to the terminals (even though it was further away). This new lot, it seems like you drive almost all the way to the terminals, just to turn around and go back out to the main airport entrance. Dumb. It adds time on heading back to the terminals. And like other reviewers, a 'nice to have' would be some port-o-potties and/or maybe some vending machines, but its not a complaint or requirement so not taking off points for that. Overall, cool concept. And it sure beats driving around the airport a few times waiting for that call, OR paying $$$$$$ to park in Central Parking for an hour. read more

Big fan of the cell phone lot, as I am picking family or friends up from the airport every few months. There is always a spot, which is due not only to the spaces available, but also I think folks really use this lot correctly. No one takes advantage of lingering and everyone is pretty courteous about parking neatly, aka not in two spots, or trying to make spots out of non designated areas. All in all a very smart idea, to encourage direct pick up (not having to take a cab) and discourage aimless driving around the airport. read more

Very helpful spot to wait for family and friends to pull in. It is a little bit away but still helpful. There is a gas station close by but the prices are high and the food, well eat elsewhere. There are no bathrooms near by so hopefully the flight isn't delayed. Tip: Get your coffee, food and make your bathroom break before picking up the fam. The area gets full when there are delays and people can get a bit cranky so if you can back in I'd recommend it since there is not much room for turning around when people are on edge. 5 stars for being free read more

The cell phone waiting lot is a lifesaver! I had to pick up a client at the airport this morning and it saved me much hassle. The signs to/from the lot are clearly marked and it is literally 5 minutes away from the terminals. The best part? It is FREE and you can park there for up to 30 minutes. I was one of only 2 cars there this morning, so I don't think people have quite caught on to the convenience yet. Perhaps Logan really is putting more effort into being a traveler-friendly airport after all...Kudos!! read more

The cell phone waiting lot is really convenient.. My fiance and his family are from Burlington so I know when I fly in to visit, this is really helpful for his parents. It's nice to be able to wait somewhere until the person/people you're waiting for arrive curbside. Driving around in circles sucks. Wish we had this in Oakland :-/ I hate dealing with those pushy security people telling you to get your car moving after one second of waiting.. the next thing you know it, the person you were waiting for just arrived curbside and you had to drive off because of security. read more

The cell phone waiting lot is a neat idea, but only once you understand: a. It exists and where, and; b. What it's meant for. I just returned from Logan Airport in Boston, to pick up returning relatives from Terminal C. I passed Terminal B, and noticed it had its own parking, but not C! No, with C, you have to swing in and you are expected to have the tactical coordination of a Navy Seal team when your car arrives: the people you're picking up have to be right there, or the Trooper present will ticket you.This arrogant prick for an officer told me I could live park if they were coming out. I did. twenty second later, he's at my window, asking me what I didn't understand about his instructions, to which I said, huh? As my relatives are getting in the car, he's eagerly writing up a ticket. Dear City Of Boston: please leave signs at these pickup places instructing people what the deal is, or instruct your officers how to communicate with the public more effectively. I don't think you should have to pull up to an officer, roll down your window and say "ummm, what do I do here?" only to have him bark out a few words about cells phones and lots. Is this efficient? Is this the way to run an airport? Perhaps if you want to make money off the "learning curb" (pun appropriate). I've been to other airports, and the set-ups, not to mention the officers, are so much nicer. The cell phone lot is a good idea, without a doubt, but not if newcomers have not a clue about what the critical "deal" is with the curbside pick-up, and that lack of understanding shouldn't cost a visitor a ticket. Definitely not the best cell phone lot, but it does the job. Easy to get in and out, and it's not too far from the gas station that has a Dunkin' Donuts, if you plan on waiting for a while. A nice perk was that when the cell phone lot was full on Thanksgiving eve, they created an overflow lot. However, I've been to plenty of other airports with much better cell phone lots: closer to the terminal entrance, with port-a-potties and vending machines, and much larger. But, again, this one at Logan does the job... unless you need to use a restroom! read more

My fav spot when I go pick up peeps at Logan cuz I'm too cheap to park and go to gate to find peepz. Definitely a life saver cuz cars are not allowed to idle at terminals. Great place to take a nap while waiting for the phone call to head to terminal for pick up. read more

I'll say it. The truth. This cell phone lot. It's a joke. Really. Now I am not used to visiting cell phone lots of airports in cities I don't live in and am traveling to. But I have been to, seen and spent some time waiting in my share of cell phone lots in cities around the world. Even without beginning to compare this one to any outside the country - I would safely call this cell phone lot possibly the most disappointing one in the country. It pretty much is a massive traffic jam in itself. First off - I haven't seen a cell phone lot so small. So it is kind of unfair for a city as busy as Boston with such a high volume of airline traffic. Agreed Logan isn't the busiest of airports - but the simple purpose of a cell phone lot is to allow cars picking up family / friends - to have a hassle free experience of waiting for them. Agreed in this day and age we have everything as goes information on our finger tips in the form of cell phones. All flight related information for example. The least I expect from a cell phone lot is a display of latest flights' arrival status. No go. Again - this is something I have seen at every cell phone lot I have used in the past. Not here. Instead you will find a black billboard listing a series of rules you have to abide by while using this facility. Again. It seems like a sad joke - to me at least. And as mentioned before - I am yet to have been in a cell phone lot as small as this one. I almost had nightmares of being in a mall, trying to find a parking spot on the only Black Friday I ever dated to shop - in the middle of the day. It never happened again. The agony of standing in line to get in the cell phone lot itself is painful. But it extends to keeping on standing in a line of cars even in the lot - to find an empty stop. And finally - when you do get a spot, you feel even more pain that it is now time for you to get out and pick the friend from terminal B - but now you will be late because you are stuck in a line - behind a bunch of cars - some trying to get out of the cell phone lot and the others waiting for a spot to get open. It is a vicious cycle. The moral of the story - circling around the terminal listening to mindless FM is much better an option than using this cell phone lot. Not giving it a 1 star simply because of the fact - it is my city and my local airport. (it really deserves a 1 star though)... How loyal am I - right? I am. read more

This is such a neat idea and needed sigh of relief !! Picking up family and friends at Logan International Airport is now a lot less nerve-racking. No more going around in circles around the screwed up Logan airport w. awful never ending construction and detours...No more having to face that asshole rude state trooper who keeps telling you to move your car..as you wait for barely 2 minutes to pick up someone...Seriously even if you park in the longer term lot its not worth it as it could be quite a walk from your arrival terminal..and chances are pretty high you will forget exactly where you parked... The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is an awesome idea..and very convenient...and I think it will get bigger as the idea catches on..and quite frankly that is going to be essential very soon........you can wait here right around the corner from the busy terminals and your friends or family can call you the minute they are outside and ready to be picked up...! This lot always beats driving around the airport. The only problem is that there are so many drivers bad at parking that it can be tough to navigate, and at night lots of people weirdly leave their headlights on, blinding other patrons of the lot. My bet is that those drivers don't know how to turn off their headlights. M read more

I travel a lot. I pick up people at other airports a lot. The reason for just two stars is that, compared to some other airports, this cellphone lot is kind of a joke. Way too few spaces, which leads to it filling up at peak periods, which in turn leads to cars waiting at the curb at the terminals, which in turn leads to traffic jams, particularly at Terminal 1. The car phone lot at Milwaukee, a much smaller airport, is twice the size. The lot itself is also cramped, making it hard for one to pull in and pull out. Once had to wait 10 minutes just to get out. Massport should make use of the relatively unused lot at the State Police barracks to provide additional space. read more

The old lot was further away, but I think it was bigger and it was easier to get back to the terminals. The return to the terminals from the new lot is very circuitous - at one point I thought I was actually going to leave the airport. In fact, that wouldn't be hard to do unless you watch the signs carefully. And then I got stuck at the stop sign by Central Parking where cabs and cars come whizzing along on the cross street, can't see them coming because of the dip in the road. I must have waited 3-4 minutes before it was safe to turn left. Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful they have the lot (it was terrible when there wasn't one), but I don't think this one is an improvement over the other. read more

Carefully observe "Cell Phone Lot" signs to get to that free parking lot, intended for waiting for a flight to arrive. However, it is very small, maybe it holds 60 cars. As you exit the lot disappointed, you notice an arrow for "overflow". I follow that direction, and there is absolutely no other "overflow" sign to direct to the so called "overflow cell phone lot". What a great concept! I had to pick a family member up at the Delta Terminal today and how convenient it was to just park myself there with my coffee and a newspaper until I got the call. The lot was almost empty when I arrived but within 15-20 minutes it was almost half full so people are taking advantage of it. Got 2 calls when I was there; the touchdown call and the call to tell me that his luggage had been picked up so come ahead. I pulled up to the curb, he threw the suitcase in the car and we were off!
