The space is large enough to accommodate a lot of different items and they created little nooks with different themes that were beautifully coordinated. My favorite shop for art straight from Mexico! My biggest issue is not buying everything i see…read more I have several garden animals and birds along with a solid collection of magnets and a beautiful apron. There is a variety of things: - cookware and kitchen ceramics - garden art - paper decor and flowers - jewlery - clothing - there is even a small but cool little soccer shop that is separate business but located in the side/back of this shop. They do have an online site but nowhere near as much variety and items as they have in their magical store. I visit whenever I am in town and I love all the items I have collected. I forgot to mention GREAT prices for this stunning colorful art. Photos attached! Go check them out and support small businesses and ART.

Artemex is a cute touristy store represented on their website with the title, "Mexican arts and…read morecrafts." It's a Total TOURIST TRAP! Which suckered me in immediately with its bright vibrant colors and welcoming atmosphere. The owner was very curious why I was snapping so many photos. With as little knowledge that I have of Gilroy, I noticed immediately there's so much potential for this shop. With more exposure and recognition within the Gilroy community, "Mexican arts and crafts" fanatics have the opportunity to dash in! I totally fell in loooove with Artemex! The cute souvenirs that I know are staples in Mexico are here!!... In Gilroy! How cool is that!?!!! So many hand-crafted items that are perfect for gifts! Though everything is totally overpriced, I appreciated the intricate details of the beaded necklace, cute Frida coin purse with a sturdy zipper, and a commemorative magnet that resembles a dragon to me. The magnet has another meaning to it to Spanish-speaking people but I wasn't able to gather the story and meaning of it. This is the spot if you're into a tourist-like experience miles away from actually being physically in a Spanish-speaking country. It's been a long week so walking around and making selections in this store helped ease my overloaded mind after midterms.

Absolute WORST experience ever. I went in to pick up my fiancé wedding band we had bought 2 weeks…read moreprior and also check in about my wedding band and engagement ring that I had sent off for cleaning and sizing. They put my rings under a different name and email address. As a result, my home address and pictures were sent to another person who I have no idea who they are and have never met before. If I had not gone in to pick up my fiancé ring and check my order status they would have never caught the mistake and the other person that my order was under would have received a notification email to come pick up their ring, they could have come in with their ID and walked out with my rings. I know this because the employees confirmed that if I had not caught it that would have happened. On top of making an incredibly huge and extremely unprofessional mistake that could have cost me my wedding band and custom engagement ring, I was told that this was the first time this has happened but "no harm was caused because it was caught just in time". This was truly disrespectful because I was the only reason why this mistake was caught and there was a true lack of remorse from the management and staff. I ended up leaving with an extreme distaste for Kay Jewelers, no solution, no rings, and no change in the name on the order. Yes that's correct, they still have my order under a completely different persons name, a stranger no less. This was the first and very last time that I will be shopping here. I strongly advise you stay as far away from this store at all costs. TERRIBLE.
