Stepping in I felt at home..awesome vintage lacy apparel lay at the front.. to the back were two rails of corsets. Behind the till sat Lynn the manageress and a colleague. It was quite late and I was straight to the point..I want a over bust corset please!! She asked if I had one before I shook my head..she immediately whipped out the tape measure and discussed my options. I tried on the only 23" corset on in the shop as a guide and before I knew it was choosing the colour and material etc. After leaving a deposit she instructed me too look at Urban Threads for my embroidery piece while the rest got made. Communications within those two weeks were consistent and I went for a fitting. Everything was perfect and she helped me decide on the lace .. Within another week and it was complete..the fit was amazing and quality was perfect.. on the way out I spotted a waspie which I had to also buy! If you are a corset virgin come Here! The average corset is £200 made to measure but it's steel boning and silk . Lynn is also so very helpful and even showed me how to lace myself up..if you are thinking of a corset come here as it's important to get a proper fitting one!

I've been in a couple of times, more…read morerecently with a friend to pick up her order and I must say the shop is stunning, it's full of beautiful custom made pieces, one off kimonos from the land of the rising sun itself, cute hats and accessories and the customers are very well put together! The staff are lovely, very knowledgeable when it comes to fashion. You can pop in for a browse and a chat, no pressure to buy which is nice. My friend owns quite a few custom made pieces from this boutique and each one fits like a glove. The corsets are top quality and beat any 'waist trainer' out there. If I need to buy a wedding dress at any point in the future (although highly unlikely) this would be my first point of call. Apart from the stunning tulle creations and the Grace Kelly-inspired full gowns, it's the the silk shift dresses in here that have caught my eye from time to time when walking past. Inside, the items that fascinate me the most are the hair pieces, being a a designer who produces such pieces herself. They stock Rosie Willett hair flowers as well as Flo & Percy diamante clips and tiaras. A great alternative to the dated net veil, ugh.

I was told immediately that they could not help me because it was "by appointment only" and that they couldn't assist because they were already tied up with other customers. Excellent customer service to me would've been to say "by all means take a look but unfortunately we can't assist because were currently tied up but if you do find something make an appointment and we'll be able to help". Instead I was sent away. I would not recommend this shop. There are plenty more shops that don't insist on appointments ONLY.

They look nothing like what she posts on her Instagram and Facebook pages. She operates from the basement of her house and is an extremely aggressive and manipulative person. After trying on a dress she tried to make me do a bank transfer for over £2000 as a 'deposit' for the dress and even gave me her ipad to do it. After refusing she would not let me or my elderly mother leave the premises without giving her £250. Once I left I messaged to ask for a refund as I did not want to pursue the purchase which she has refused. I am reporting her to the trading standards and pursing this through a small claims court but just want to warn others not to use her and also report her if you have had similar experiences. The dresses are fake and the whole business seems like a scam as she has removed the ability to review her page on Facebook and removed her listing as a business from Google. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS.

The whole thing just seems far too much stress and effort to me. Don't get me wrong I want a wedding. I will probably go for the big white wedding option but I want it as hassle free as possible. I thought I would take the plunge and try look inside a bridal shop and Stella's was fantastic. The whole place is immaculate and air-conditioned. The dresses are beautifully cut and are made with the most luxurious fabrics with unbelievable detail. As I have nothing to compare this shop too I realise may have been overly impressed but the owner made me feels sooo special and for the first time I thought the whole wedding day business might not be horrendous after all. In fact I am truly looking forward to it now and may go back to try a couple of dresses on in the not too distant future!
