A very upsetting experience I'm afraid; I bought a bolero jacket which turned out to be faulty, a fact which the owner would not acknowledge. I blame myself ( and so did the owner incidentally) for not checking it closely before the wedding day; it needed the collar either starching and pressing or stitching so that it sat correctly, as it was it was uneven and looked awful.
I returned the item after the wedding feeling very upset and let down. Sadly the owner didn't bother to contact the manufacturer about the fault (which was clear on all of the photos), nor would she admit that anything was wrong with the jacket, although everyone else could see that t clearly was faulty and in fact, quite poor quality for £70.
When I later re tried the jacket (which I left with her after my complaint) it miraculously appeared to have had the fault partly corrected, although this was denied. I didn't even want my money back (and I haven't got it, as I preferred to keep the item and contact the manufacturer myself). I would have preferred that the owner had shown some honesty and integrity.
To be fair, the owner was pleasant when we initially visited the shop and made myself and my friends feel welcome; but poor quality goods and in our opinion, an uncaring and dishonest approach was a very upsetting experience in the end.
When I pointed out that I had not yet written a review she actually pointed at me and accused me of threatening her; I left the shop with no refund and a jacket which appeared to have been tampered with. A very unfortunate experience overall. read more
