Sugar Fix turned in an Oscar-winning performance with this year's cookies, in the shape of movie tickets and boxes of popcorn. How do you make a cookie shaped like a box of popcorn look like it has popcorn in it? With white chocolate chips, of course! The decorating skills of the bakers at Sugar Fix is truly amazing, coming up with ideas that will fit any occasion. Of course, it's all about the cookie at the end of the day, and the soft vanilla cookies they use for these lovelies are both delicious and make the perfect canvas for their creative designs. Just like last year (described in my earlier review below), these cookies disappeared, with several of the guests going back to the dessert table several times to grab another cookie to munch on. We bought 2 sugar cookies and my 11 yo (an expert in sugar cookies) said it was a 6 out of 5 - best sugar cookie ever! The other one we bought bc it looked like my husband who was not with us. We also got a pb cookie and brownie and though I bought those for the rest of our family who are not traveling with us they may not make it home. Now I'm hoping they are open again tomorrow. They've been in business for over two generations, and all of the ladies who work there are extremely friendly and they go above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service! I'm 70 years old, and if I were younger I would love to work there. They're doing it "ALL right" to still be in a thriving bakery business in our struggling times. I get my holiday orders in early, and once you become a regular customer you'll understand why! They work endlessly to make sure that they have taken care of their customers wants and needs long before Christmas Eve. They close the bakery from the afternoon on Christmas Eve, and they stay closed until after the New Year!
