I just recently started coming here as my blonding specialist Christopher John moved to this location. I called to schedule ny appointment and was given my time, immediately got a text, followed by a confirmation email a couple days before. The salon has its own entrance outside and one inside the hotel. The front desk staff are very friendly and smiling. The salon has a nice comfy couch to sit while you wait. It is a decent size but doesn't feel crowded even on a busy Saturday afternoon. The sinks are comfortable and don't strain your neck, the chairs have plenty of cushion and you even get a foot stool if you need it. My hair as always looks amazing. The bathrooms are downstairs and they have stairs or an elevator. Bathroom has always been super clean. read more

My first real haircut since COVID took place in October at Cedric Salon, in NY - and while expensive, if you think about all the haircuts I haven't gotten (I get fewer haircuts than most people generally anyway) I actually probably still spent less money on my hair in the last 3 years than most others! Now, it was a haircut of opportunity - someone else booked me the hotel (at my last job) and I literally wandered in there and asked if they had any appointments that day, for a cut, and MAYBE color. The answer was "our owner Cedric is available this afternoon"! What was I gonna do, say, "uhmmmm no thanks that is intimidating AF I am like a cave woman was hoping for like, the intern" I'm not very chatty in the hair chair generally, but Cedric was easy to talk to and struck the right balance... I enjoyed talking about the show Billions, and he did not make me feel like the frumpy unfashionable unglamorous klutz that I am. I had asked about purple streaks - and then he put me with his colorist Aaron, and the two of them were chatting ideas, and landing on something that sounded kinda bold to me - then when I said something wimpy about "well, what about a few streaks like under here and over here" and Cedric said - "oh like the middle schoolers!" and I was like OKOKOK do what you want!! I trust you! And indeed, my hair came out bold and gorgeous - I used Pulp Riot Velvet - and made the decision between that and the indigo shade because of wanting to fade to pink rather than green... I knew I would fail to maintain it but it's actually faded to silver, which I love! Also, the cut? Fabulous - looks good without blow drying, and over two months later really holding its shape. So! Even though I splurged on this haircut thinking "I'm about to quit this steady paycheck and will never be able to afford this again" I am now self-employed and still seriously considering making Cedric Salon my go-to salon, and just getting my hair done once a year on a trip to NYC. read more

I've been going to Cedric for over three years for all my hair needs. His cuts are always exquisite. The look and feel of the salon is modern yet cozy and always very clean. Recently, I tried the keratin treatment to smooth my normally curly and frizzy hair. It took about an hour and a half but I left feeling smooth and manicured. After the treatment, it was much easier to dry and style my hair. Also, my hair sat nicer if I let it air dry. Would highly recommend this treatment and this salon! read more

He has been cutting my hair for the past 5 years and does a fabulous job adjusting to my particular requests regarding weight, layering, length, etc. In my mind, the mark of a good stylist providing a high-value product is one who puts in the time--Guillaume never rushes my cuts (even when other clients are waiting) and will always take the time to ask questions, double and triple check. I have been getting my hair cut by Guiallaume for over 7 years now and I can't imagine going to anyone else. Not only is he a fantastic person that is so much fun and cares deeply about his clients, but he also puts in so much detail and care to his craft. I'm blonde, from southern CA so l come in with extremely high expectations and 9+ years of trying different experts through referrals and top salons (Fekkai) in the city. Nobody has been able to do what Aaron does. It's perfection, and I hugely appreciate all of the time and effort he puts into my hair.
