CALLING ALL REDHEADS - you MUST see Colorist Jada Zarzuela! I met Jada after a few years of a bit of colorist hopping which meant she had A LOT of different shades/growth to blend together - and boy DID SHE! She did such a fantastic job I haven't let anyone else color my hair since! She always does an excellent job nailing a vibrant and long-lasting (ammonia-free) red that ALWAYS gets compliments...even as it fades and all I can see in the mirror are my roots - I'm STILL getting compliments on the color! Jada instantly impressed me from the start with her great care to detail (less dye-stains on your forehead & every little whisp of hair COVERED!) but - even better over 9 years in....I truly feel like I've found a friend! I love coming in and catching up on the myriad of topics we've covered in our lives through the years. She's a keeper - so go meet her! p.s. this is more a review for Jada specifically but the salon itself is clean and sleek (I've enjoyed the photography/art on the walls as I chill with my head in the sinks!) - and all are more than welcoming and kind inside! read more

Best salon in the upper east side.. very polite and nice hostess, classy atmosphere, great coffee too! Always professional and pleasant!! read more

It's very pretty, but I have now tried getting my hair colored 5 times (fixed twice - not impressed either time), and cut twice (fixed once, which actually made it worse). Where the salon is very pretty, I actually feel the stylists I saw are more at the level of a budget salon disguised in a pretty salon. When I pointed out the banding at the top of my head, I was told "it will fade". 1) it hasn't. 2) why am I walking out of a salon after a fix still with banding? I will not be returning. read more

First of all , my color was never correct until I went to Jada Z! I've been following her for years now. You think brunettes are easy? Think otherwise. It was either red, black, or whatever other color I did not want. In came Jada to rescue my hair, she was able to find the perfect shade of brown for my skin tone and eye color. I never looked back. I've never received so many compliments which is a true testament to her magic. She also uses top of the line products that keep my hair healthy and looking its best. She is also not only a very talented colorist, but she is very knowledgeable on what your hair needs to maintain it looking its best! Highly recommend!! For cuts I recommend Mika Supputo she has an amazing eye and basically gave me the haircut i didn't know I needed. She will also teach you how to style your own hair which is super helpful and a plus in my book. I also highly recommended Janine Pastore for Great Length extensions whenever I need that extra va va voom for my hair! Shes the it girl for extensions and great blowouts!! The salon itself is also beautiful, in a great location and has an amazing staff - everyone is so friendly and accommodating ! Don't hesitate to try them out, you won't be disappointed ! read more

So I've been seeing Jada for almost TEN YEARS. I've followed her to this amazing salon in midtown east. I always tell her to decide how we're coloring my hair and trust her judgment without hesitation. I speak professionally on international stages all year round and Jada hooks it up!! thank you so so much! SEE HER :) highly recommend read more

Romy did my blowout; she was friendly and did a nice job. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about Rebecca, the colorist. I showed her a picture of me and told her I wanted to go back to the same shade of blonde - a cold blonde on the ashy side. She barely looked at the picture, went to mix the color and started slapping highlights on without any care. The result is a spotty, uneven and brassy color that looks absolutely terrible. She did not even come to check on me during the process. Worst experience and absolutely not worth the money I spent. read more

I made an appointment to dye my hair auburn, brought a few reference pictures and Jada worked some magic. So happy with the color and I've already gotten so many compliments. The entire staff was very professional and welcoming. Jada truly took my inspiration pics and blew them right out the water. Truly went above and beyond my expectations. read more

I moved to NYC a few years ago and will only go to Jada for my hair color! She is the best and helped take me from a darker brown to lighter bronde in a very natural way - I always trust her vision and any recommendations for hair health. Plus the salon itself is very cleanly, offering top tier customer service, and Janine also does an amazing blowout to finish it off. Will be back soon! read more

I just had the best manicure and pedicure by Sonia. Professional, unbelievably relaxing and enjoyable. Picked great colors. Clearly takes pride in her work. I will only go here for nails from now on. Five star experience at the Bridgehampton location! read more

This is a low quality salon disguised as a fancy upper east side salon. Went in and all I wanted was the same glaze that my hairdresser at home does and I told them the formula. That didn't sit well with eddies ego. He implied that my hairdresser (who is family) doesn't know what she's doing and is beneath him because she just does hair in Ohio. He put his own formula on my hair, made me blow dry it myself?, and I could tell that my roots were lighter than the rest of my hair. So he had to do it again. It still isn't as dark as I wanted - which is why my hairdresser at home uses the formula she uses. Then I got charged the most expensive price because he's the owner - this is a service I could easy have done myself (better) if I had the product. Dont let the area and nice looking salon fool you! read more

Amy is my colorist and she is the very best ! I have been going to her for many years and she is extremely professional and very talented.

I see Rebecca for my color at Eddie Arthur. She is amazing. I recently decided I wanted to take my naturally very dark brown hair to bright blonde. She exceeded all expectations. My hair is brilliant, and when I wasn't entirely in love with it at first, she insisted i come back in and so she could make it perfect. And she did! I am so happy with my hair and the amazing service. My first day in going blonde I was in the salon for 5 hours and when i had to leave in a hurry I had a whole team blow drying my hair so I could get out the door in 8 minutes! The level of service provided at Eddie Arthur salon succeeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was kindly greeted and offered a refreshment. I was promptly directed to Christine's chair without a wait. She listened to what I was looking for and gave me exactly what I wanted. I love my color and will return to Christine every time I need it done. My hair was cut by Esmeralda who did an amazing job at delivering the exact look I was going for. She also gives the best blow out and I will definitely be requesting her in the future. Everyone at the salon made me feel so welcome and comfortable. So I just got back into the city and needed a haircut BAD. Its been like 1 year and 6 months due to the pandemic. At this point I can no longer straighten my hair because the ends need to go. And I knew I had breakage and slipt ends on top of that. Now I have natural hair, a big oh afro, which is information they took down for me. Now I style my hair a little like Corinna's the Senior Stylist there that I saw. So that was the easy part (I had my fiancee send me photos of myself when my hair is straighten because I don't have any). I did a soft blowout just to stretch my hair out. But Corinna went in and blow it out. (So sorry) I got hair! She let me know what she thought and how she sees it which is great, my opinion was just Help Me Please! I love it, my hair holds the elements so the blowout turned into a beautiful soft blowout. I got home my Fiancee, she loves it so much. She loves my natural hair which is great because its to hot to be trying to style this. I will be adding photos just give me a second to get back home. So if you are looking for a Real Hairstyle that can help you with your look checkout Corinna at The Eddie Arthur Salon. And if you drive park at 615 Garage Corp better prices! read more

I am not one to write a negative review, however I had a really sneaky and deceiving experience here. On their website, haircuts are advertised as $115+ , going up in price based on experience. When I called to make my appointment, I explained that I was a new customer and did not have a preference. Turns out, I was put with the most expensive stylist at the salon with no warning for a $250 haircut - a TRIM actually - and found out after the service was done. When I called the salon to express my confusion, I was told that I should "just know" to not say no preference or I may get charged for the top stylist and it's something I should learn for next time. The manager offered 20% off the next time I get color at the salon after than proceeding to tell me my COLORIST LEFT THEIR COMPANY - safe to say I will literally never be back here. As a 24 year old woman, it feels incredibly deceiving and sus to be charged such an amount knowing how naive I was while making my haircut. read more

Got an email from my colorist saying and I quote "complimentary color brow dry". Very misleading. Came in for the sole fact that she was offering complimentary service to keep her clients seeing as she had moved salons. Only after everything had been done, was I told that only the blow dry aspect was complimentary and that it was a "misunderstanding". Felt like a trap. read more

I've been tracking Arthur for years now. My husband is also hooked on Arthur's cuts and styling. When Arthur and Eddie opened their doors, I was thrilled for them. The salon is gorgeous, a modern gem in such a convenient location. The place is buzzing with positive energy, great people, and good vibes. And, when my favorite colorist (@stephanieb) moved over, my life was made complete! All the staff are super hospitable; they make you feel welcome and comfortable right off the bat. I was so over stuffy salons. Wouldn't and won't go anywhere else! read more

I had long brown hair for 10 years, always scared for a change. I went to EddieArthur Salon and they made me feel so comfortable from the moment that I came. They took me in exactly on my appointment time. Arthur cut my hair, he is such a perfectionist, my hair came out exactly the way I envisioned it. Christine colored my hair, and it was perfect. I got a complete makeover and was extremely pleased. The staff is very friendly and kind, the Salon is very upscale, modern and has a beautiful ambiance. I would definitely be coming back! read more

My cousin had her hair done by Christine Neos. From the results of her hair i jumped on the opportunity to get my color corrected. Esmeralda finished my look by styling my hair. Lovely place will recommend and will go again! read more

I am a regular here since they've opened. Really love Rebecca. I've been following her almost 4 years now. She is a true OG master and life saver! Really appreciate how friendly and kind the staff are even though I tend to arrive here a tragic mess! Rebecca works her magic and I always leave feeling beautiful & restored. A1 Day1, baby! My favorite is when they serve Rosé. Thank you, Rebecca, and Caesar for taking care of me and thank you Arthur and Eddie for this glamorous establishment. Love you all so much! No words to describe the service I received at Eddie Arthur Salon yesterday. I came in for a color, cut and blow dry through a referral from a friend who lives in the area. I was going from dark brunette to a soft dirty blonde with some low lights for face framing. Consultation process made me feel incredibly secure with the end results and I can't say enough how happy I am with the finish result!!! My hair came out EXACTLY how I described through photos and consultation. The people here are so attentive with a such attention to detail; no words but to say GO HERE. P.S: they make a mean Cappuccino; right on par with UES : ) thank you to the team at Eddie Arthur Salon read more

I have been a client since the salon opened and can't say enough great things about Eddie, Corinna and the whole team. They do a great job coloring and styling my hair and are as nice as can be. The salon is lovely and comfortable and everyone is so friendly that I look forward to my visits. Over the years I have tried many of the top salons in NYC and Eddie Arthur is the best. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

Fantastic Salon! Beautiful space, convenient location and I always get a stunning color job! Recommend Eddie

Eddie Arthur Salon is a SCAM.   Here are the top 3 reasons why:   Overcharging- They gave me a quote before starting on my hair ($185), and then when they "finished," it ended up being DOUBLE the price (for a terrible/ unfinished job). Purposely won't give you the color you ask for right away to keep you coming back - They said they could do what I asked for (balayage highlights) in one shot, but when they "finished," they stuck me with a huge $400 bill and said that to achieve the color I want, I have to come back monthly for a year; and note- NONE of these monthly visits would be  covered by the enormous amount of money I already paid. I would have to pay $400 at every visit. (That would come out to $4,800.00 in the end just for some simple blonde highlights!- That's INSANE) Heavily edit the photos on their website/ Instagram page-  Rebecca Merrick posted a "before and after" photo of my hair on her Instagram page that was edited a ton. It made me look mostly blonde when in reality, I left with the same light brown hair I walked into the salon with. My family and friends couldn't even tell that she did anything to it.   I spoke to Rebecca, the manager, and the owner about how dissatisfied I was with my hair after visiting their salon and they rudely brushed me off. Usually a salon will fix your hair for free if you're not happy with it. Yet, this salon just tried to scam me out of more money for a job NOT done. Don't waste your time or your money here- I promise, you will be disappointed to say the least. read more

I love the Eddie Arthur Salon! I have been seeing Arthur for five years now, following him from another Salon to Eddie Arthur. I will not let anyone else cut my hair. Love this salon. The service and the decore is top notch. I went in for color, my colorist was Eddie, great sense of humor. Walked in, was greeted by staff, no waiting, took me right on time. He added glaze, which after drying my hair made my hair look like never before, it was silky with great flow. read more

Beautiful spa-like salon. I have been seeing Joyce and Alison for years and I would follow them anywhere. That said, Eddie Arthur is a wonderful home for them. *I purchased an $85 Gilt deal for this haircut so this may not be relevant to everyone. I just moved back to NYC and remember having a great haircut a few years ago through Gilt. This was not my experience with this salon. When I called to make my appointment, I didn't tell them that I had a gilt voucher right away. When I disclosed that before hanging up, the receptionist got a bit of an attitude and said they didn't have a "gilt stylist" on the day that I wanted. That was fine, I scheduled for another day. When I got there, again, attitude but the place was completely empty. The stylist was super nice and we chatted the whole time. I was surprised when the haircut seemed to go fast and when she didn't ask me how I wanted my hair styled. Now this is my fault: I was kind of zoned out and when I looked at my hair (still hot from the blow dryer), I didn't notice that it was a terrible cut. When I left I realized that from shampoo to style took 45 minutes. I have a long thick head of hair that requires layers to lighten it up. Essentially the stylist trimmed the length and ignored my layers that were cut 4 months ago. It looks ridiculous. I look like an eight grader whose mom cut her hair. I am going to have to go to another salon to get it fixed but I am very upset that this was likely due to the Gilt. I could have found a much better haircut in the city at any price range. They should not advertise this service at their typical haircut because clearly it was not. Or maybe it was and that's why the place was empty. Either way, I'm upset about the hassle, dishonesty, and the embarrassing haircut and will never use Gilt or this salon again. read more

Have been seeing Corinna for over a decade and she is THE BEST!!! Has great cutting skills and does the best blow dry in town. Eddie just did my double process for the first time and he rocks, too! Rebecca is great she took my hair from brassy to soft and natural with baby highlights. Friendly staff and beautiful salon.

I've been going here for about 2 years and couldn't be happier with the service and the overall great vibe. Eddie for color...Arthur for cut...they're both pros with NO attitude. They are happy to make YOU happy. They're both really good at listening, and knowing what will work for you. Check out this place--it's a hidden gem. read more

So happy I found this place! I was desperate for a haircut and have had bad luck at other hair salons in the past. (Nothing worse then spending good money on a bad cut.) I spent several days googling options near my office with the hopes of finding someone who could give me a great quality cut at a good price. Luckily, that was exactly what I got! Esmeralda listened carefully to what I asked for and 100% delivered. No surprises, just like the photo I showed her. My hair looks and feels fabulous, and at a price I can afford. I will absolutely be back, thanks again Esmeralda!!!! read more

I was greeted by a very nice receptionist and offered a beverage when I arrived. The salon is very modern-looking and clean. I was scheduled to meet with a less experienced hair stylist who seemed confident. She assured me she would not cut anymore than I asked and even showed me prior to cutting. As the haircut progressed, more and more was snipped off. I was then told that "it is still long when you put your hair behind you." I currently wear my hair in a bun since I am not happy with the length and waiting for it to grow out before I wear it down again. I am disappointed that my request was not followed through when I was very clear with my desires and repeated throughout the haircut. Hopefully this review will help the salon be more aware of customer requests. read more
