Stayed 3 nights in this lovely secluded B&B. Take time to wander the property to discover hidden gems and pet the 4 kitties. (All outdoor cats) . Ms Janis is a wonderful hostess and a true Steel Magnolia. Loved her almond cakes and her sausage- learned some new recipes as an added bonus.

Rest and refresh at Brazos On The River. My husband and I found this beautiful bed-n-breakfast a couple years ago and fell in love with it and with the owner, sweet Janice. We now live in Glen Rose and I am currently marketing for her. This month of October is Pastor appreciation month and we are offering Pastor's 25.00 off Monday through Thursday stay. Please call Janice to purchase a certificate for your pastor to come rest, reflect, pray and enjoy Cedars On The Brazos. Janice will make you feel at home and cook you a wonderful breakfast and share her God story on how Cedar On The Brazos came about. Call her today at 254-898-1000. Be sure to tell her Tina sent you. I know you will love it as much as we did.

This small warm B&B was the most amazing, relaxing, sweetest place to be. My kids and I were on a one day trip. Just to float down the river and we loved it! We will most definitely be back! The owner Janice was the sweetest and loving woman! My kids were so surprise and excited to see Longhorns by our window. We had a fun time. Thank you Cedars On The BRAZOS!!!

i really liked this motel. i loved the way they remodeled the rooms: clean lines, spacious, clean,…read moremood lighting. the only things i didn't like was: the remote for the tv was a little hard to push the buttons + the water in the pool was cold. plus, they didn't have the swimming pool listed or any pics of it. so...i spent an hour looking up public swimming pools + small lakes nearby.

First off, the staff that assisted at the front desk were always very kind and friendly. But my…read morestay here was far from great. I arrived to my room and noticed there was a swarm of gnats in my bathroom sink. I killed them with a napkin and wasn't too worried about it, I was just here for one night so some gnats I figured I could deal with. I was short on time and had to leave for a wedding so I wasn't in the room all evening. When I got back from the wedding, I went to the bathroom and noticed even more gnats plus a HUGE spider in the corner of my bathroom in between the toilet and shower. It was probably close to golf ball size or bigger. I have bad arachnophobia so I'm dramatic and can't get myself to even look at or kill spiders let alone get one out of my room myself. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing the spider could move to my room so I closed the door and tried calling the front desk but received no answer. I then walked down the hall but noticed no one was at the front desk. I was unable to use my bathroom that night and had to get up super early to leave the hotel because I couldn't sleep. I went to the pool bathroom before I left and there was a small spider in that bathroom as well. No one was at the front desk when I went to leave either. The room wasn't super clean, there was a big stain on the ground near the desk. It was LOUD, I could hear every stomp and step down the hall up above me and outside my door and all of the doors slam super loud as well. My door made an awful high pitched loud squeak sound every time I opened or closed it. Wasn't the worst stay of all time but definitely not somewhere I would choose to stay again.

We had such a special stay in the train car--this place is truly something unique. Every detail of…read morethe space was thoughtfully designed. It had all the charm you'd hope for (the vintage feel, the clawfoot tub, even the most creative little touches like the sink), while still being incredibly comfortable with modern amenities. You can tell a lot of care went into making it both beautiful and livable. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the setting. Waking up to open fields, wildflowers, and animals nearby, and then winding down under a sky full of stars--it felt peaceful in a way that's hard to find. It was the kind of place that gently pushes you out of your comfort zone in a safe and meaningful way, and those are the experiences that stick. There were also a few thoughtful touches and moments during our stay that made it feel even more special and memorable. It created some true core memories for my kids--those little unexpected experiences that you don't forget. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and took extra time to make sure we were comfortable. You can feel how much they care about the space, the animals, and the people who visit. This isn't a typical stay--it's something much more intentional. It feels like a place where the land and animals are genuinely cared for, and you're invited to be part of that, even if just for a short time. We will absolutely be back, and are already looking forward to trying some of the other spaces on the property next time.

The "inn" is really a 40 acre farm (bed and breakfast) with animals for kids to look at, various buildings to view, and a community fire pit. Ordinarily, there is a breakfast bar that was not functioning during the pandemic. The bucolic environment was very relaxing and we appreciated the time away from the hustle and bustle. There were some problems with our Airstream. The inside smelled musty and the sheets had some weird odor. We were there in October and it got cold at night but there was no heat so we froze during the night. There were no blankets. The "kitchen" was not very well equipped, lacking even a bottle opener. So, we enjoyed our time but it would have been better if the Airstream had been better maintained and equipped.

When I first checked in the lobby and hallway smell and felt musty and nasty like people have been smoking and the stench just stuck to everything. It was my fault for not reading reviews on this place because I was in a rush to book for a last min travel. When going into the room there was the smell and hot so I had turned on the air to try to air it out, there was also stains on the sheets, I was gonna try to make it work by going to the store to buy a sheet and new pillow case to put on it to try to just be okay staying there but that didn't work out. I had only gone in to check in and left the room. Then went back hours later from my outing and the room was nice and cold, took the smell out but when I turn on the heater omg I felt like a whole smell of cigarettes smoke just pushed in. Mind you guys it's suppose to be a non smoking room. Checked out and I'm in the process of trying to get my refund back because they don't want to refund me. I loss out on money here big time. My trip end up being more expensive since I had to go find a new place to book. Left that spot and stood the night at laQUINTA down the street it's so much better. do not stay at quality inn. I'm thinking maybe smokers don't mind it and stay there. Horrible experience and the crazy part is when I told the front desk why I'm leaving he doesn't sound surprised at all that I told him there's a bad smell and you know it and also the dirty stain sheets. I wish I would have took a picture and show you all.
