LOVE cedars! One of the my fav places to eat on the island! While I will say the service can be early slow, it is always super friendly and helpful! Cozy Lebanese eats in the heart of the city. My fav order is the chicken shawarma wrap (get it grilled!!! ... you have to ask for this specifically) and I always upgrade to split the side to have the Lebanese rice + either fires or salad. The Mjadara lentils & carmalized onion + Fattouche salad is an awesome vegan option here and the fries are always a delight (although $10 for the side of zaatar fries is kind of expensive considering its such a small serving). Delicious Middle-Eastern food in Charlottetown, PEI There are 2 "Lebanese"-style restaurants in this town. We tried them both. Loved the Zaatar appetizer and the oven-baked hamburger, the chef's creation for a recent hamburger festival. The meat was deliciously spiced, generous, and served on a nice bun with lettuce, tomato, and a delicately spiced yogurt-based sauce. Raita? If you like some pink in the center of your hamburgers, you will be disappointed on this island. The law REQUIRES that ground meat be fully-cooked. (Well-done.) read more

Went camping to PEI in the Canada Day long weekend and went to Cedar's Eatery for dinner on Saturday night. For 40 dollars, we had a meal and we were stuffed. I had the combination platter with a Lebanese meat pie, tabouli, and hummus and pita. It was absolutely delicious, not to mention the halva that came with it was Y.U.M.M.Y. My husband had their chicken ceaser salad and the amount of food is enormous! All in all, it was a great place. I would recommend it to all tourists coming to Charlottetown. read more

I found this place while looking for Vegan options in Charlottetown so we decided to go for lunch here! We were given a very small lunch menu, but don't let that get you down because everything on it is unique and probably amazing, sadly we only got to try two things! I got the falafel & veggie rice and my bf got something i cant pronounce or remember what it was called, a salad type thing with a lentil and rice mix with caramelized onions .. All of it was amazing. The service was awesome, our waitress was very knowledgable and recommended the best of the best for us! We'll def be back! read more

If I could I would give it 3.5. Pretty decent value. Totally random decor- looks like an old pub that they converted into a middle eastern restaurant which is kind of entertaining. My bf had the cabbage rolls- they were good!! Falafel wrap was good but I've had similar quality for 2/3 of the price at places near my work. Service was friendly. If you are sick of seafood and want something a bit cheaper this would be a good option. read more

After we had spent a week in the Maritimes we were longing for something that wasn't fried and/or seafood, preferably with veggies. I ate here twice and both times I was really impressed with how simply delicious the food is here - I've never had shwarma that good anywhere else, period. I love Cedars! Every time we're here I have to come here for the chicken shawarma and salad. I keep saying I'm going to try something else but I can't. That, and a glass of red wine and I'm super happy. My vegetarian husband has tried a few dishes here and loves it as well. He makes amazing homemade hummus, and he really likes theirs, which really says something. The interesting signs and friendly servers make it a complete package. We had a good time at Cedar's. The service was quick and courteous. We ordered the shawarma sandwich with veggie rice, falafel sandwich and lentil soup. Shawarma was amazing along with the rice. Pretty high prices for cheap, sup-par pub food. They do make an excellent poutine, but the rest of the food is hit or miss. And their Ceasars (not the salad) are awful. I think the clamato juice must be on a gun because it's bland and watery, which is an insult for almost $7. Everyone talks about Cedars, so perhaps it used to be good "back in the day", but it's in dire need of a tune up. Not impressed. read more

Meh...not the greatest Lebanese food I've had before. The falafel was decent, though a little skimpy. Fries were good. Other folks at the table didn't seem overly impressed with their meals...lobster roll had too much extra "stuff" in it (celery) and the bread was rubbery. Had a wonderful supper at this wonderful restaurant! The food was full of flavours and the servers are warm and welcoming. The hummus is absolutely delicious,followed by the shish taouk (chicken kabob) with Greek salad and rice served with garlic paste and peta bread. Try the the baklava and Lebanese coffee to finish this flavorful meal! I'm so full, I hope they offer wheelbarrow rides back to the hotel ! Lol read more

Like the Canton Cafe, this is a place our family visits every time we visit PEI. I don't think I've ever had anything from Cedar's that I wouldn't have again. The Lebanese food here stands up well against any other Mediterranean restaurant that I've been to. Our favorites are the Shwarma, Falafel, tabbouleh, Majedra and salad, and the Shish Taouk. However, the menu is varied and as I said already, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The food tastes authentic and is very flavouful. The service, for the most part, is friendly and welcoming. I find that the wait can be a bit long for no reason that I can see. For example, the restaurant could be quiet and we could be waiting 30+ minutes for our meal. The same meal ordered on another visit will be out in 15-20 minutes. We've never really had an explanation for this. The food, however, is really good which mostly makes up for this. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so I guess you'd call it "warm and cozy". It does have a comfortable feel, but there is a bar/club upstairs and if you go in the evening it gets REALLY loud. I'd recommend take out if you are thinking about eating there after dark. Overall, the food is the biggest attraction here and I'd encourage anyone who's a fan of Mediterranean to try it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

I had the swharma salad. It was good but it took 45 minutes to come out and the chicken was barely warm. The salad was fresh. My friend had the chicken kabob which was good. The feta cheese was fresh. My friends chicken was also slightly warm. The service while pleasant was really too slow. It wasn't crowded at all.
