We stayed here for three nights in September 2023. On the good side, we had a pet-friendly room that worked for us and our small dog, and the setting is tranquil. On the less-good side, the restaurant service was slow and somewhat impolite. A colleague's guest room was filthy, and the lodge could not move her and would not clean the mess. I can't say enough great things about Cedarbrook!! I've stayed here as a guest multiple times. Once for fun with my husband, the other few times for work functions. All my visits here have been nothing but peaceful and enjoyable. The Cedarbrook lodge is quiet, clean and cozy. You feel like you're staying in your own cabin suite. And the location can't be beat! So close to the airport, freeway and fun town of Burien. With how classy and modern this place is you'd never suspect it's close to the airport! Now for the restaurant - another five stars! Always amazing service, my mom and I come here whenever she is in town from Chicago. We've sat out on the patio during summer and all the servers always have wonderful recommendations. The wine is fabulous as well, the food and wine is always as local as it can get and always so very fresh. Totally unexpected, as you make the turn off the road through a residential neighborhood, I thought I was lost and had to look at the map again. There it was, Cedarbrook lodge a hidden retreat, tucked away in the sea-tac area. I spent my time at the spa I got to try their petrified wood massage. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was very similar to your traditional hot stone massage. The heat was excellent in releasing the tension within my back. The ambiance and surrounds were tranquil and ever so relaxing. We also had a sampling of the food and cocktails. Both were amazing and unique. Something you would expect with an establishment like this and it was nothing to disappoint. A lot of their produce is sourced from their on site garden; they even have started making honey in their back yard. This used to be a very nice hotel. We would stay and have a nice breakfast in the morning. We loved the complimentary snacks in the living room lobby's, and the room was beautiful. We ordered room service or had a nice dinner. HOWEVER since Covid this place has been significantly downgraded. No breakfast included. Instead we paid 14 dollars for the equivalent of a fast food croissandwich. The lobby is not well maintained so the snack area showed some issues. The bed is still comfortable, clean and the rooms quiet. The grounds are pretty and you would not know you are so close to the airport. I think if you are staying in the SeaTac area, it makes perfect sense to spend a bit more to stay here. The lodge is lovely, and it feels very much like a resort. Hidden in the woods, with walking trails and a koi pond. Near SeaTac?!?! We had some real Pros, and a few Cons. Here they are: Pros: free Haagen dazs ice cream, I kid you not. A whole freezer full, in the "lounge" areas. Along will string cheese, yogurt, maltballs, chips, and bottled water. Man, I love the free stuff! Clean and pretty room with a super soft bed. Dogs allowed, and a requested dog bed and dishes were set up for him. We had a broken Keurig in our room, and that got replaced easily by staff. Great free toiletries too. Cons: parking is valet or self park, and self park is a bit of a walk (with luggage) to the front desk. It also cost $20 bucks. Ouch. The free breakfast is, uh, okay. They give you a lot of options, like eggs, pastry, oatmeal, cereal, sausage...but it's pretty tasteless. My husband and I stayed here one night this past weekend. It was our first night away without our daughter (who is almost two.. so was long overdue!). We live about 15 minutes away and didn't even know this was here! We did not eat at the Copperleaf or try the spa, so I can't comment on either of those. Although at check in, they did say you could go to the spa and have them help you make your own bath salts for free. We didn't do this but that's a nice option. Our room was small but comfortable. Loved the jacuzzi and the workout area. We walked around the lodge, and they do provide umbrellas in case it's raining. They have paved pathways and a little trail as well. We also really liked that each building had a living room for guests to use. We couldn't eat any of the snacks since we don't eat dairy, but it was nice that they had those. They also had some board games in the living room. Breakfast was good - options for vegans were: fruit, whole wheat toast, jam, nuts, and coffee. For others they had salmon, eggs, bacon, etc. Parking is $20 for self parking and $23 for valet, which includes in and out privileges. We'd like to make it a yearly thing to come here! My husband and I are staying here again this time for 10 days. I can't emphasize what a difference his travel has been since we have found this beautiful lodge. It literally makes all the difference to come here, relax in the lovely rooms, and walk the grounds. Having to come to SeaTac was once a chore now that we have this hotel to stay in, we enjoy it. We have asked his travel department to put us in this lovely lodge whenever we come to SeaTac, which is at least 10 days a month. I can't recommend this lodge enough. My review of this place won't even do justice because this establishment is something to be witnessed and experienced in person. First off, parking, checking in and out are a breeze. You are charged for self parking- FYI $20 a night. Each room has access to a lounge, within their building. Take advantage of this. It's chop full of goodies, including bottled water, yogurt, string cheese, chips, ice cream, and an assortment of malted milk balls. They have comfy couches and chairs, along with a big ole flat screen for your viewing pleasure. My room had a huge tub and I most certainly enjoyed every stinking minute of it. Upon arrival, you are asked if you prefer a large tub or standing shower. While in your room, you'll notice the windows pop open, which is super nice. It allows you to air the room out and feel more connected to the nature surrounding you. I found the bed to be phenomenal, along with all the comfy pillows. FYI: they have a PILLOW MENU. The continental breakfast is amazing, don't miss out. There is also a bar sitting area wishing the restaurant. The food is pretty standard. This facility also has a hot tub, which seems to be very popular and a fitness center- which is really nice. My only complaint was I wish they had a swimming pool, regardless if it were indoor or outdoor. The grounds of this fine establishment are lovely. The garden was adorable and I took full advantage of treating myself to those strawberries. I couldn't get enough! FYI: all items produced from the garden are infused throughout this establishment, from the spa, to the restaurant, and even bar cocktails! After 3 weeks abroad, in approximately 18 different hotels, I feel live a pro when it comes to analyzing these places. Coming back to the states I picked this place a little off the grid which was a gamble I thought. Check in was pleasant. I did not use the spa or the restaurant due to my fatigue. The room however greeted me with fresh clean cool air and a view of the garden along me some privacy to shower in peace and not stress about the curtains. The bathroom was high quality. The charging ports were plentiful. The layout of the room was quite good. One of my favorites actually. I used the hottub which was open until 23:00 as it should be and was clean and high quality. Also the gym was very well set up for a hotel. This is a place you could easily and comfortably stay for a week. My only complaint is a personal preference. The heavy fake down blankets don't breath and we're a touch damp from a fresh washing. The dampness didn't bother me. But the blanket left me sweaty as it doesn't breath well even tho the room had EXCELLENT temperature control. (Meaning cool) I ended up using my own blanket and pulling the sheet off of the comforter. But otherwise top notch. I highly recommend this place for families and others looking for something that is not directly next to the main busy and dirty SeaTac strip. read more

I give 5/5 for being an airport hotel - clean and welcoming like a cold day walking into a lit fireplace. Cedar Lodge is not necessarily an airport hotel, but since it is so close to the airport it's probably one of the nicer unique hotels for being so close to the terminal. It's definitely better than Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton that are near the airports. At those places I feel somewhat dirty because they get a lot of traffic. I only stay there if I have to because of an early flight or coming in late. To be honest, I wish this hotel becomes a franchise around terminals. I would totally sign up and forget about all the other airport hotels. After getting off a flight the best thing you could do is take a short ride to a hotel that feels welcoming with nice wine and friendly hospitality. read more

The location was unexpected but turned to be fantastic. We self-parked, but there is a Valet Parking option, take advantage of it! Once we made our way to the spa area, we were welcomed with all smiles, the staff was friendly and corteous. We got to sample a few of their dishes which I loved. The drinks kept coming and we were asked plenty of times if we were ok or if there was anything else we needed, I totally felt welcomed and I love this type of ambience when coming to a Spa because that is what you want when visiting a Spa to be pampered and taken care of. We got a tour of the place and the decor was fantastic, the arrangement felt fresh, clean and modern. They have all their bases covered, specially when it comes to dinning. Not only do they grow their own vegetables and do it the most organic way possible, but they have so many options to enjoy your dinning. One can eat inside away from the fire or near the fire, at the bar, on the outside, by their little pond area, near the spa, I mean you truly have options here. We got a couple's massage and it was great, the room had low light, there is a hot tub inside for the couple's to use after the massage. I had the petrified wood massage from Jen, which felt amazing. I was feeling great after the massage, very relaxed but I was waiting to see how I felt the next morning and let me tell you I can tell I got a massage because my muscles still feel very relaxed and my tension is gone. Overall this place is great we will definitely come back and I am already spreading the word about how great this place is, the couple's massage is a must! Apparently no one at Cedarbook Lodge has been disabled, even temporarily. Their idea of "Accessibility" is a joke. First: the "accessible" parking is about a block away from the entrance to the "accessible" facilities. May not be a problem if you're in an electric wheelchair, but if you use a cane or walker that can be torture. It certainly was for me. See photo. Next: once you get into the building, your "accessible" room can be another long walk away. Finally: you get to your "accessible" room and discover the only thing about it that's accessible is the bathroom. I'm 5'6" tall. The beds are so high my feet dangled at least six inches from the floor once I pole vaulted myself up onto one. Imagine someone in a wheelchair trying to climb into one of those! See photo. My colleagues & I had registered at another hotel that was not adequate for anyone to stay at. We found Cedarbrook Lodge on a local website. We then arrived with no reservation at 6:30pm. Denise at the front desk was so sympathetic to our situation & worked for over a 1/2 hour to find us the rooms we needed. She could of very easily said, "sorry we have no rooms available without a reservation. She also went out of her way to get us a quiet area to sit in while she worked on our reservations. We were so relieved to finally have a place to stay at & relax from our day of traveling. We didn't even need to leave the lodge for dinner or breakfast, as the restaurant & bar were amazing. Thanks again for being so accommodating to me & my colleagues. I already told some friends of ours that will be visiting Seattle soon about the Cedarbrook Lodge & our stay with them. I won't go lower than a 4 cause this place is really beautiful but it sadly stops there. Probably the most poorly labeled hotel for being so big. The map is confusing that they give you and got there at 1 and they said 4 pm check in and guy tells me he'll call me once I go on a list. No call. Then I call at 3 and a room is ready. What happened to actively seeing if the "early arrival list" is actually tended to? The lady I eventually got when I checked in was rude to. I've been in town for days and the first time I got somebody rude yet this where I'm paying the most money as a customer and that's how they are? I moved on as it isn't worth my time to be upset but because of service I'll never be back. Truly sad for such a beautiful hotel. I made a reservation through reservations.com and had to call back 5 minutes later to cancel it when I realized i mistakenly made it for 4 nights instead of one. I received a cancellation number and assumed it was taken care of. we ended up staying at Comfort Inn and Suites instead. I looked at my credit card statement and saw i had been charged for all four nights! I did not even stay there one night! I called reservations.com and after 15 minutes on the phone was told that I needed to call Cedarbrook directly, which I did. they told me they could not refund my money, even though I had not stayed there and I had cancelled my reservation. My husband and I loved Cedarbrook and stay there every time we fly out of Sea Tac. We absolutely will never stay there again. I can't believe that they were not willing to work with regular customers on this issue. read more

The staff I simply amazing. We flew in extremely late and they prompt sent the shuttle to pick us up. Once we arrived at the hotel we we were greeted and told that because it was so late the restaurant was closed, but there were snacks available on each floor. The snacks were endless, yogurt, string cheese, snack mix, malted milk balls and ice cream to name a few. My husband was in heaven. The rooms were spacious and clean. Tranquil feel as it overlooked the greenery. It felt like we were in a forest. Breakfast is complimentary and extremely good. Lots of variety and food was fresh. Upon leaving the valet team were very helpful and extremely nice. I will be coming back to Cedarbrook Lodge the next time I come to town. read more

We usually go to Hawaii once or twice a year and have never gone during a major snowstorm in Seattle. We live 20 minutes from the airport but with icy roads we didn't want to take a chance getting to the airport for a 5am check in. We booked Cedarbrook Lodge after checking reviews, it seemed to be the nicest accommodation close to the airport, and it was. Smooth check in, very nice room. Each floor has an area with complimentary water, ice cream, chips, candy and other snacks if you choose to consume. They didn't have anyone helping with the luggage but they do offer carts at check in. We wanted to eat fairly early because or our early wake up for the flight, so we chose to have happy hour in the bar. Thankfully Stephanie took over the service in the bar, she was fantastic. Great personality and a definite asset to Cedarbrook. Our food choices from the HH were delicious, we will definitely go there again. The elevator was not functioning the next morning and we had a 430am shuttle time. The front desk sent someone to hand carry our luggage to the meeting area. I definitely recommend a stay here if you need a place close to the airport. Shuttle service was extremely efficient, our room was very nice, food delicious in the bar. read more

I have looked forward to a stay at Cedarbrook Lodge for a while, ever since wandering onto the grounds, and enjoying a light meal in their lounge bar a few years ago. Now it is "been there, done that". Our stay was OK, our meal in the dining room was very nice. But there were disappointments, and some details were just not up to expectations. First, I will say we took advantage of a special deal offered on the hotel website: we paid $296 (tax included) for our room with 2 queen beds, but this included $100 dinner credit in a the well rated Copperleaf Restaurant, & free parking (normally +$20). A meal for two will generally run well above $100 without alcohol. A nice feature: if you bring your own bottle of a WA State wine, they waive the corkage fee! The disappointments: we booked a room for four people, but found it was set up for two. An additional bath towel we obtained from a staff member was found to be dirty when it was unfolded later, & in the morning we realized 2 of 4 coffee pods were decaf. My comments at the desk resulted in a tired stock response that we should please call them when we need anything, as if it was our responsibility to count the towels and coffee supplies at check-in. We enjoyed the "living room" lounge found in each building. These have a TV, refrigerator, sofas & are well stocked with complimentary snacks & sparkling water. We made use of this to socialize after dinner, but I noticed the art lighting was out of order, as were the lights on the tiny Christmas tree. The morning buffet breakfast was much more extensive than we expected, and was very good. A real value if you have time & inclination to enjoy it! All in all, not quite the extra special experience I anticipated, but a good deal for the special bargain rate we paid! read more

Cedarbrook Lodge is a hidden gem in the Pacific Northwest. The thing I love the most about this place is the service. Tonight my boyfriend and I had an amazing dinner! The food and service was worth the wait. Our server, Jenny was so kind to make sure we were doing okay! She was so gracious to answer our questions about what was on the menu, and was very consistent in keeping us up to date with our order. We started off the night with an appetizer called sweet and spicy pepernata crisp, which was an excellent start to our meal. I ordered the clams & mussels tagliatelli, which was delicious as well as exquisite in presentation. My boyfriend ordered the gleason ranch grass-fed bacon cheeseburger, which he thought was amazing and very fulfilling. Overall, we had a wonderful time dining at Copperleaf at Cedarbrook Lodge. Great service and a memorable meal outdoors in a tranquil environment made this evening perfect and I couldn't have been more happy! Oh yes... another update on this one! We're back for a regional company sales retreat (March 2-3, 2017). I love this place! We've had many corporate events in the region and the Cedarbrook Lodge is my favorite! This is 3 or 4 times now for me to be here in the past couple of years. You'd never know by the setting that you were literally across the street and just a few blocks from SeaTac International Airport! It feels like you're at some secluded place in the country. I really enjoy the #PNW vibe here. It's a lodge with a classic Northwest feel yet not rustic and brought up to date. Yet, it tips its hat in a really nice way to yesteryear. I think of it as sophisticated but without drama and relaxed. It's all about comfort in an ambience that celebrates tradition, today, escaping the metro, getting away from it all, and being wonderfully present to pretty much anything you'd ever need in one place. The staff here is amazing! Always super helpful and I was blown away how fast they could change big rooms into another setting as we had meetings, meals, and breakout sessions. The food here is totally over the top! Since our event was a Thursday, Friday, many of my out of town coworkers decided to stay an extra night or two, just because. Good choice! I love the 3 cozy living rooms where you can just flop and hang with your friends, includes snacks, beverages, and libraries. I always enjoy the Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar, and there's a cool little bar just down from the main lobby that's fun too! I could go on and on, but let me say that if you want to get away from it all and decide you don't even want to go anywhere else, you'd be making a great decision. A little corner of the scary Seatac area that truly is a tranquil reprieve--totally worth the money! After several "luxury" hotel stays in major cities across the UK and France, coming home to this lodge was by far the cleanest, most well-managed, most tranquil accommodation we had in over a month. The air conditioning, expansive rooms, washcloths, conditioner (who would have thought this little item would matter so much), free parking and wi-fi, AND complimentary breakfast were all welcome amenities and made us all feel very spoiled. Seriously one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Beds are incredibly comfortable and clean, bathroom well stocked, and the tubs are huge! Big enough for two haha I love the living rooms in each section. It has free chips, malted milk balls, yogurt, string cheese, and, my favorite, Haagen Daz ice cream! The hot tub is really nice too, though it should be posted (within the info about the hot tub) that towels are down there so people do not think they have to bring the ones from their room. The only thing I do not like is their television service. I feel that, in this day and age, there is no excuse to not have a channel to show which programs are currently on. Sometimes a place reaches critical mass on Yelp to the point where I just have to try it. We stayed here for two nights and it was way beyond my expectation. I'd heard it was nice, but it's just beautiful. From the lodgelike main building where the registration, restaurant and Spa are to the grounds to the rooms. The grounds are beautiful and meticulous. They are maintained by a small army of groundskeepers with flowers, lagoons, waterfalls and gardens. If you eat at the Copperleaf restaurant you can see the garden where your veggies were grown. The King room has a very comfy bed and is a little small but comfortable. But each building has a "living room" area with a TV, "leave one take one" library and snacks. Lots of snacks including chips, maltballs, yogurt and ice cream, plus bottled water. There's also a "deluxe" continental breakfast, which actually means they not only have continental breakfast items like pastry and fruit, but eggs, bacon and salmon. I know every review says this, but it's almost impossible to imagine this little Shangri La in the middle of Seatac, 15 minutes from Seattle. read more

Cedarbrook Lodge is someone's cherished child with all the stops pulled out fortissimo. Start with the luxuriously pristine bathroom. An Oriental feel with a frosted glass sliding door. Not a speck of mildew to be found. Huge soaking tub sans those annoying jets which collect other people's' bacteria. ROAM bath products in a generous size. Gigantic fluffy bath towels you can lose your soul in. I enjoy the hosed adjustable shower head. The self lighting mirror. The wide expanse of counter space. The woven shower curtain. Plenty of places to hang towels and things. Comfortable, stable, non crazy water adjustment. The lights are on a timer and will turn themselves off. Now the bedroom: comfortable with a big choice of pillows. Nice duvet. Good lighting. Decent wall mounted tv. Extra seating. Our room, Alder 3211, has a wonderful view of "the rain forest." In the South, this would be someone's backyard needing bush hogging, but the blooming morning glories are lovely. There are paths, cement sidewalks, all around the lovely extensive property. The blue accent wall is a nice touch, as is the carpet. I like the gray ceramic subway tile on the floor in the bathroom, too. It looks like slate. Someone took a picture of an Autumn tree and mounted it on the perfect size canvas. AC works great. Running out of space: check out deliciously generous breakfast;property with waterfall, brook, pool, gardens, spa; fabulous staff and shuttle driver. This is a must stay! read more

Everyone. Everyone needs to come here ONCE in their life. If you are ever coming into Seattle for something, just spend a night here. It's amazing. The area is near the airport. Free shuttle from the hotel TO and FROM the airport. Awesome. ROOM: We got a standard room located in Dogwood. It was SO nice. They had Welcome chocolates for us and the custom (They email you beforehand asking you what kind of pillows you want) pillows we asked for. The room isn't huge but it's comfortable. You have a bed, a comfy chair, desk and the standard stuff. It's a soft bed and very clean. We had two different rooms because we wanted to have a view of the wetlands (small but pretty). So the first night was a view of the pathway which made me uncomfy because people could see you if they are walking around. So I had the blinds closed in that room. Then we moved to the 2nd floor with a view of the wetlands and no pervs watching :D BATHROOM: They provide organic and chemical free bath stuff. We got shampoos that did not contain that one bad chemical that I forgot and the soap was very cool - it was a round circle with a hole because not everyone uses the whole soap. This was a genius idea. The bathroom was clean and only one person could fit in the tub but I just wanted to sit in it haha. They provide bath salts and face soap. Very cool. AMENITIES: There is a shared space in each floor in every section. In that shared space are couches and a TV and books for people to read and newspaper (USA Today) for everyone. Awesome. FREE FOOD. GYM: The gym is GORGEOUS. I was in heaven. I woke up every day and went to the gym which rarely ANYONE uses. They have cardio machines, weigh machines and free weights. Free towels for you to use and water! BREAKFAST: Awesome breakfast. Smoked Salmon, cereal, bagels, the fatty breakfast goods, fruit, salami, boiled eggs, breads, etc, It was really good too. I only had the smoked salmon and egg whites and fruit every day but Oh man... it was good. All you can eat too. Free coffee of course and different juices to get. OUTSIDE AREA: I ran around the complex and enjoyed the nature. It was PERFECT weather when I went and so I jogged around. Not much to jog around actually. I thought I found a trail but it led to the hotel next door. So I just jogged around the hotel. To go around the hotel is half a mile, so I went around it twice running and then walked around it twice again. It's really pretty. I just sat down and took it all in. They have a wetlands area and lots of grass green area. It's a gorgeous place. I wish they had outdoor yoga. I'd SO do it. SERVICE: Really nice people. They took real good care of us. Jonathan was cool. Very helpful. Robert (his last name) helped us check in and was so nice! He helped me so much with what I could do in this place. AMBIANCE: Peaceful. They have conferences going on but eh. Doesn't bother me. OVERALL: I highly recommend this place. I loved it. I want to go back as a retreat. read more

I had the good (mis)fortune of a week long (very long) corporate retreat here at the Cedarbrook Center, formerly owned and operated by WAMU. If I was traveling with family in tow, this would not be the place to stay. For corporate events, retreats, conferences and general business travel, Cedarbrook is outstanding. The staff is top notch. Service varied from very good to tremendous. Seriously. I've stayed at a few places known for service (see my review of the Waldorf Astoria) and the staff at Cedarbrook measures up just fine. Take a few minutes to chat with Abdul, the bellhop. He'll give you some nice insights on world travel destinations, sports or whatever your interest is. As we were practically sequestered, we took most meals here. The dinners outshone the other meals...they were pretty good. Breakfast was a buffet style affair and somewhat better than average. A few things you should be aware of: -none of the staff accept tips. Period. (this may change with ownership/mgmt changes) -there is currently no wifi in the rooms, just a cat 5 hookup (they will provide a cable) -each building has an open area with a fireplace, TV and seating area as well as free refreshments and snacks. -each buildings above mentioned seating area is stocked at night with a variety of 1/2 sandwiches, milk, cereals, yogurt, etc. In other words a perfect late night snack on the house. -Cedarbrook is back in a neighborhood so there is little to walk to and the neighborhood, while perfectly safe, is a bit blah. -all accessories for meetings are at the ready and top-notch...projectors, conference rooms, etc. read more

This hotel has got it all: convenient location (blocks from the airport), comfortable beds and plush pillows, a 4-star hotel rating, gorgeous landscaping with lots of water features, heck there are even kitchenettes in the hallways with refrigerators stocked with snacks (yogurt, string cheese, ice cream) and jars of chocolates on the counter. FOR FREE. Beside the kitchenettes are faux living rooms with big TVs, high ceilings, and comfy leather couches. It really feels like a home away from home. A huge, modern, sexy home. They have big conference rooms and a large theater, so I know a lot of their business has got to be coming from companies hosting conventions. I know that Horizon and Alaska Air do trainings here. I have never seen accommodation personified by a business until Cedarbrook. From valet to the front desk, room service to waitresses, every employee at this lodge is top notch. I can't wait to try out the restaurant and spa. Parking is $20 overnight, but if you don't stay the night you don't have to pay. No worries about getting towed. Valet is included if you come here to eat dinner or get a massage. Classy! Bed & breakfasts are overrated. I'm coming here for my next anniversary!!! read more

love this place! this is an oasis in the middle of Seatac! you would never know you are next to a major international airport! the wooded area is so sirene and green. i have stayed here on several staycations and have always had a pleasant experience. on site amenities in each building includes a nice free snack area with fridges stocked with string cheese, yogurt and ice cream! also available are bags of tom's kettle chips, trail mixes and malt balls. they did away with bottled water but do have dispenser for sparkling, non sparkling or hot water. staff is fantastic. the onsite spa is pretty nice too! they have a dog friendly wing (aptly named Dogwood) so bring your furbaby along with you! great place to stay and relax! read more

I should have written this shortly after my trip this past May but i did like the hotel. We returned from Iceland and didn't want to sit at the airport to catch the next flight back home so we settled in here to re-acclimate. I remember being very impressed with the modern look, lots of wood, and a welcome departure from the usual loud carpeting, brightly-lit, noisy hotels. My only regret was not being able to partake in the "free food" area that is very family-friendly or maybe just not for healthy foodie types like myself -- it was an endorsement of the dairy industry with ice cream, fruited yogurts, string cheese, and milk. This is a nice hotel and the grounds are beautiful. BUT good luck getting someone to respond to emails. I emailed MONTHS ago about their rewards program, not too long ago to the spa and recently emailed about a retirement party and no response from anyone. *insert thumbs down emoji here* read more

I heard so many great things about this place I decided to check it out even though I live in the city. Reasons I came here even though I live in Seattle: I heard it was rated #1 hotel on Trip Advisor and I won't lie...I heard they have free Haggen Dazs ice cream! I thought this can't be for real... I'm happy to report the free Haggen-Dazs ice cream is still available! It's a small touch, but in a world where even the 5-star hotels nickel and dime you for water and wifi, this is very refreshing. There is a very nice living room space to stretch out and relax. You'll also find the fridge stocked with bottled water, yogurt, string cheese, chocolate balls & raisins, and of course, the Haggen-Dazs ice cream. Upon checking in, the staff offers you a cup of hot apple cider which it very nice touch. The rooms are not huge but very well thought out and makes efficient use of space. I like to also point out that the room and the bathroom are very clean. I've stayed at other 4 and 5 star hotels were it wasn't this clean. While it's no Four Seasons, I didn't expect it be. But at around $100/night it's an incredible value for what you get. I would highly suggest this hotel if you're renting a car. The hotels in the city are expensive and you don't get anywhere the value you do here. read more

I found this place right after it opened. I guess it used to be a corporate training center/retreat for WaMu but when they went away it was sold. It is very close to the airport but you would never know it - it's more like a resort than a hotel and is surrounded by trees and hidden from view. The rooms are not huge but nicely furnished and CLEAN. Each building has a "family room" with tables and chairs (see the photos), a fridge stuffed with goodies (such as Haagen Daz!, water, malt balls), and TV. I have held impromptu short meetings in these rooms and it was very comfy and quiet. The gym is clean and has treadmills, steppers, bikes, free weights and 6 different machines. The restaurant is AMAZING (see other review for Copper Leaf), and the free breakfast and free wifi just make it even better. Even when I have work in Tacoma or downtown Seattle I stay here. This is one of my favorite hotels anywhere. Love it. read more

I can safely say, I have stayed at hotels all over the world and this one is in the top best five, easily. The place is spotless inside and out. We arrived at noon on a Thursday and even though check in is supposed to be at 4pm, they gave us the key. The front desk was very friendly and gave us maps for downtown Seattle. Heading to our room, which was not in the main building, we saw flowering trees and walking trails through the wetlands area. Once to our room, it was a good size. There were 2 queen beds and a long desk along the wall with two desk chairs and a very comfy oversized chair next to the wall of window overlooking the wetlands area. Each floor has a 'living room' with fireplace and couch to sit and do work and in the same area is the free Haagen Dazs ice cream, the freezer crammed full of various flavors, that alone should get any hotel a five star rating. Hello Ice cream coma. The fridge was full of yogurt and cheese sticks, plus the mini fridges along the wall had bottled water, which was always stocked full. The counters had fresh fruit and a self serve candy station, where you could scoop it out and put it on a plate to take to your room, once again, hello candy coma. The bathroom is very spacious and tub is really oversized, like they say on the website, it is a big ole soaker tub. The complimentary breakfast was worth dragging out of bed for, too, smoked salmon, bagels, muffins and, can't believe I am saying this, the oatmeal was really good, with a bunch of mix ins next to it. I am not an oatmeal person, but this was pretty good. This hotel strives to be green and it shows in a lot of little ways. The distance to downtown Seattle is not bad, we did it in under ten minutes. We will definitely be going back. read more
