STAY FAR AWAY FROM MUSIC LESSONS HERE…read more We traded in our son's violin for a pair of clarinet lessons with Victor, who I would not trust around anyone's children. Our 11 year old son, who loves the clarinet and absolutely loves music class in school, was shamed for not being as good a clarinet player as the instructor (who spent a considerable amount of time during the lesson showing off and playing the instrument instead of trying to teach). The instructor, Victor, ridiculed our son for not knowing how to read music well, and also took posters down off of the walls when he said the boy was being distracted.  When our son was crying, the instructor, Victor, even blamed our son and said, "Why are you crying? I didn't do anything." This clarinet instructor, Victor, is absolutely terrible with children and I can't believe he does this for a living. After the session, he was brazen enough to psychoanalyze the child IN FRONT OF HIM and say that "he doesn't take constructive criticism well." Telling someone that they aren't good enough or  are doing something wrong is not constructive criticism. There's nothing constructive about derisive language. An entry-level child student is looking for instruction, support, and uplifting, not negative reinforcement. Instead of clarinet lessons, what we received was abuse and an insult to music instructors everywhere. TERRIBLE. 0/5 stars

I've been attending Guitar Ninjas for almost 4 years, and it has been a phenomenal experience. My…read morewife found Guitar Ninjas through Yelp when searching for a birthday present for me. When she called, she spoke directly with Jason, and he answered all her questions. They got me signed up for my first lesson pretty quickly after that, and the rest is history. The curriculum Jason pulled together has helped me improve my skills while exposing me to new and interesting musical genres. However, my experience would be nothing without my instructor, Jin. He is an excellent guitarist in his own right and an excellent teacher as well. I came in with a smattering of guitar knowledge (had been playing for ~10 years before signing up and was largely self-taught), and Jin knew how to take what I already knew and combine it with everything the curriculum had to offer, dramatically improving my playing. I'm now able to do more than just look at a chord sheet and strum along or slowly make my way through a tab. I'm able to listen to a song, understand it, and am slowly but surely getting to a point where I can start transcribing by ear. Jin has been integral to this process, and I appreciate all the insight and help he has provided. If you are interested in either learning how to play guitar or improving your skills, Guitar Ninjas is the way to do it. I'll also give a shout-out to the support team; they've been responsive to all the questions I've had over the years and transparent about any issues that've arisen. Thank you all for your dedication to teaching and helping me become a better guitarist. Rock on!

They have learned so much and have had so much fun. All the instructors have such a positive and encouraging teaching style. I highly recommend Sydney and Jin! They also have an app that supports students outside of lesson who have a hard time with recall. This has really helped my boys practice consistently and troubleshoot! Such a huge perk of this program! Consistently impressed by the staff support & that my boys are eager to come to lessons!

My son is a goofball who has some struggles with social settings and being around people he doesn't…read moreknow. We enrolled him in Rock 101 on guitar because of his interest in music, lack of interest in sports, and our desire to get him involved in something that would force him out of his comfort zone. The results have been more than I could have asked for. We're approaching 2 years in, he's performed about 6 concerts now (each time feeling less and less anxious), and has developed a real skill. His private teacher Cameron is just awesome, and has provided our son with consistent, encouraging feedback. He's made our son comfortable in a way I didn't expect from this place. We signed up our younger son for drums, and he loves it as well. I highly encourage kids to sign up. It's free to try out and the monthly cost is worth every penny. Our kids are ages 6 and 9 and love it.

We wanted our kid to focus on guitar, but their way of making a band looks a little chaotic to me without a good system...not exactly what we were looking for. We checked out and also found out the price was very high and we knew that it's not a place for us. Recommend people to take the trail class they offer first before making a decision to see if that's something you and your kids are looking for. Once you signed up, I don't know how easy of getting out of the contract.
