The only damage was from when their toilet cracked and spilled water all over the closet. This is a sneaky practice that appears to be a way of using tenant funds to pay for updates they would have needed to make anyways. I am saddened to have to leave this bad review.

We were not allowed to tour our apartment until 2 days before our move in date. We have a shared garage unit and as you can see by the picture it's mostly trash. They said that this was a garage, not a storage unit because you have a storage unit included in your apartment. They said this was going to be cleaned up which it wasn't. When me moved into our apartment it wasn't even move in ready. The window is broke and still broke no updates on when they're going to fix it. The flooring and the carpet are both coming apart. We have a 10 month old baby and my boyfriend was almost physically attacked by a lady who literally was having a manic episode. Management did not reach out to us to apologize or let the other tenants know that the crazy lady still lives and is living in our building. Unfortunately, we're stuck here. So let me save you the trouble and run. Way too much money we're spending every month for the amount of issues we're dealing with. Absolutely ridiculous.

The apartments were recently redone with beautiful granite countertops and wonderful appliances. Another great perk was the trash shoot on every floor, no need to drag your trash to the basement or anything. They also have a spacious outdoor parking lot and also underground parking. A huge bonus is the cement walls - I never heard a peep from my neighbors the whole year I was there. The building itself is pretty quiet, no kids (probably due to the fact there's only one and two bedrooms) and most times I would walk into the elevator and to my apartment without running into anyone. The population here is a lot of young professionals in their 20's and 30's, as well as some older folks who had been there for awhile. Like I said, it is quiet but the community was so nice, everyone is friendly! And it is in a very safe area, I was nervous to live on my own as a young woman but never once did I feel unsafe here. Flory had also mentioned at one point that they have never had anything stolen, people have lost wallets/purses and yet everything was returned. The only downsides are that there are no in-unit laundry and no pets - two of the reasons that caused me to move out. However, they are currently in the works of redoing the community laundry in the basement and I am sure that will be wonderful once it is finished! Another huge perk here is the staff! Dan from maintenance is extremely kind and able to quickly help you with whatever you need. Flory, the manager, is a total gem. She truly pours her heart and soul into this place and does whatever she can to make all the residents 100% happy. She is always at her desk working on the first floor and whenever I run into her, her face lights up and makes a point to have a meaningful, personal conversation. She remembers every little detail about everyone and simply put - one of the most genuine and kind people I know. These apartments and the building itself are amazing, I would recommend this place to anyone!

After a long season of stress, upheaval, and even a fire, finding this home has felt like God's hand guiding me into peace again. I'm now in a beautiful one bedroom on the 19th floor, and every day I'm grateful. The ceilings are high (around 10 feet), which makes the space feel open and airy even though it's smaller on paper. The quiet enjoyment here is something I haven't experienced in years -- it's calm, safe, and truly restorative. The view from the top floor is incredible. My cat, Romeo, spends his days looking out the windows like he's watching over the whole city. It brings me so much joy to see him so content. The staff here deserves special recognition: * Lisa, the supervisor, is steady, kind, and professional. * Carol, who helped me lease the apartment, made the entire process smooth and encouraging, she is the reason I came. * Julie and Joe have been warm, welcoming, and consistently helpful, Julie gave me the keys when I took possession. * And the maintenance team has been wonderful -- patient, skilled, and quick to help, even with things like curtain rods that I can't measure to save my life. Not at all spoken, by the residents, as a "senior home or facility," but instead they call it a community. In fact, they would like to refer to it as Cloverleaf Communities. The apartments are spacious, quiet and the residents are friendly and sweet as pie. They offer events in the community room, celebrate monthly birthdays, have a family room, offer billiards, hair salon and shuttle for those who are no longer driving. You think senior living and shoot to an age range of 80 years and older, no. I met a women in her 60's who was just tired of the yard work! I met a man in his 70's who works out at the gym three times a day, hunts and enjoys the food in the area. The biggest perk, the residents will say, is the dish washer, stainless steal appliances and the fact that they can send their grand kids home at the end of a long day. I laughed. My mom does the same. If you are in the area, do a tour. This "Senior Apartment Complex" is marketed to the senior citizens but offer no senior amenities. No car-ports (even though they publicize they have them). No shoveling sidewalks (public area); no shoveling of ramps from sidewalk to parking lot for those with wheelchairs/scooters; trash room doors that are so heavy they can't be opened by most tenants in a wheelchair/scooter holding a bag. One elevator that goes out with the electricity which leave those again with wheelchairs/scooters, unable to get to their apartment. Smelly halls that when asked of management, you get "it is what it is". Landscapers that blow grass onto the patios of ground floor tenants and then have to be raced down (in a wheelchair/scooter) to have them blow off the patio. A maintenance person who says he will do work then never shows and found sleeping in the parking lot. A property manager that never leaves her desk and just gives lip service (vs. personal service). Tip of the iceberg people! Don't go! I wouldn't send my enemies here (then again..)

When I compare Williamsburg to…read morethe other rental options I had (quite a few in a fairly large geographic area), it was the best of the lot. A very good experience overall. First the PROS: - At the top of the list is the STAFF! From the office staff to the maintenance folks, all involved are top-notch. I've never rented anywhere, or heard of a rental complex, with a more professional and responsive staff. And not just the nice sales pitch to get you to sign a lease. Every inquiry, every issue, was addressed immediately. Early on I had to change my move-in date several times, and they were extremely accommodating ... even nice about it! - Location, location, location! If you enjoy hiking and being near the national park, this place is for you. You can *walk* from your door to the park trails, bike to the towpath or to the Bike & Hike Trail. It's also located within the Greenwood Village Community Association, so you have access to all those amenities (indoor & outdoor pools, tennis courts, fishing lake, etc.) in addition to the Williamsburg-specific amenities. - Attached garages. These are quite roomy, and offer great storage place for all that stuff you won't be able to fit in the unit (see cons). - Extra services. The leasing office will do things like hold packages for personal pickup. I found this to be a nice security feature, so you don't have delivered boxes sitting by the front door. - Townhouse style units, so no one living above or below you. - You can have pets, even big dogs here! - A number of lease term options. You generally have a range of 5 months to as long as 15 months from which to choose. - A great place to hang out if you are looking to purchase a house or condo in Greenwood Village. There are many different associations in Greenwood, and the best way to learn about the pros/cons of each is to be IN the community. (Williamsburg is the *only* rental complex in Greenwood btw.) - Units are being re-modeled as they turn. I moved in earlier this year, and was treated to new countertops, kitchen fixtures and kitchen appliances. New flooring too. - Very pretty from the outside. You won't be embarrassed to have your family/friends drive by. Now the CONS: - Floorpans. Whoever designed these buildings had something else in mind besides ease of use or comfort of living. The spaces are poorly designed and chopped up. So, what *should* fit into an 830 sq ft space does not. (Thank goodness for the nice wide garages ... storage!) Getting things like mattresses & big furniture up the staircase is a challenge. Your movers may curse a bit. - Poor HVAC design, and poorly insulated. You will likely end up paying extra elec/gas to heat the place in the winter and cool it in the summer. If you don't mind wearing extra fleece in the winter, and hanging out in your skivvies in the summer, you'll do just fine. (To be fair, part of this is the nature of a townhouse. Heat rises, so they're warmer upstairs. I've owned three townhouse style condos and all had the same issue, though not to this extent.) - Can be noisy. You may hear your neighbors on either side through the walls. I was lucky to have reasonably quiet neighbors, but on one side the tenant had two small dogs that yapped often, which was rather annoying. (At least they didn't bark at night, so I didn't complain to management.) - Expensive. And you pay for everything (nothing is included in rent): water, sewer, trash, Greenwood fee, and of course all your own regular utilities like electric, gas, any cable. That's on top of pricey rent. But like I said, given the LOCATION, I doubt one could find anything else to rent (near the park and with an attached garage) for cheaper. (Maybe this Con is more of a gripe about the current state of rental prices than a "Con" for this development?) Knowing that there are no "perfect" scenarios, Williamsburg has earned a 5-star review in my book.
