Well trying to get a contractor…read morewho knew anything about a deck being enclosed clearly not to code within the confines of and inspection dd period was an impossible task. UNTIL Jon came to the rescue! A few things where very clear in my discussion with Jon. 1st, he was extremely knowledgeable, I chatted with 4 people about the same issue and he was the only one who seemed to know the terms of the work needed and the cost and timelines in working with the city to complete the job. What a relief that all was to me in such a sensitive and crucial part of the transaction. 2nd, he was quick to respond. Not only did he call me back within the hour but he came out to the property to bid in my tight timeline super early in the morning so I could proceed with my transaction comfortably knowing exactly what to expect cost wise to bring the deck to code. 3rd, it was very clear that Jon cared about the quality of work that needed to be done and the accuracy of what he was preparing me for. I will add that with Jon in the mix we felt confident proceeding with the property acquisition and with Jon's guidance, will have him come out to complete the work when it warms up a bit and the ground isn't so hard. Thank you Jon for your guidance and expertise! Looking forward to the ongoing opportunity to work with you!

They did really top notch work, were super communicative throughout the process, and got most things done sooner than expected. Jon is great to work with and his team-- Adrian, Matt, & Juan-- did a great job. They also worked nights and weekends to speed things along and get us open quickly. Jon took so much time with me and was very flexible and patient. They definitely are raising the bar for contractors everywhere. Also, my dad is a contractor a few states away and came to visit when the work was starting. He was impressed and trusted Jon and he's not easily won over so that says a lot. If you're looking for a team that can do a top notch job in a really professional manner, you'll find that in Dewar.

We contacted 4 remodeling companies before choosing Old Bay Remodeling, After my wife's almost an…read moreyearlong research to find materials and selections to complete the kitchen, we decided to get bids from Angie's list. Old Bay came in highly recommended with a 4.7 star rating. We got other bids from contractors 4.5 stars and above. We had a contractor who showed up on TV who bid the job at 4 times the price of Old Bay and we had contractors who my wife called 'Chuck in the truck' contractors who bid my kitchen at 30% cheaper than Old Bay. The big name contractor came with his pamphlet, tried to push his branded materials on us - "You can only choose backsplash from this pamphlet" they said. We had to wait 10 weeks to get started they said. They will give us warranties on materials for 10 years, but we have to pay for labor, would something go wrong. The estimate was a 10 pages long with 9 pages of their marketing bullshit and one page of the actual estimate. Also wanted me to pay for design before they even gave me any drawings - not even rough drawings with the estimate. The Chick in the truck - unlicensed guy with his helper in a truck, said he can start tomorrow. We can purchase any materials and he will put it in. He gave us a labor only bid literally handwritten on a notepad piece of paper. I was pretty sure after the work is complete, I would never see him again. Then comes Old Bay Remodeling and Bill Keeling. Licenses and Insurance checked out. Reasonable 5 weeks delays to start the job. Detailed drawings and sketches with a 3d rendering of how things would look at the end. The process took about 5 days with some edits. But we were able to sign a well written contract, 3 pages long. But no marketing bullshit or content. 3 pages of how the work will be done, what is included, not included and what ifs. We went with them mainly because of Bill the sales guys and Sara the designer. The construction started and there were some hiccups, but mostly all right. The job was completed with a 2 day delay - I'll give them a pass on that. Trash was left outside for couple days, and I had to call the office to get it removed. But the actual kitchen looks great!

He is personable without being too chatty, and gets the job done as seamlessly as possible. For my house, there was one big job, restoring an unusable "storage" area under the eaves of my Cape Cod from a dingy, torn up and unappealing cavern with broken linoleum and an outside wall exposed to the timbers to an inviting space with bright "fresh oak" vinyl planking (his idea) and a solid plywood side wall providing insulation and protection, adding 75 sq. ft. of pleasantly usable space to my house. The other items he tacked on to his day's work were also accomplished to my complete satisfaction: replacing the screen door handle; re-attaching a swath of vinyl siding that had been blown off by the wind; and repairing a mistake that cable installers made which caused another section of siding to become misaligned. I am confident that if he decides he can tackle a particular job, he can do it and he will do it well. Plus, he's a dedicated family man you know you can trust.

As a realtor, I have been recommending them to my clients, who keep using them again and again. Julio (the owner) is honest and reasonable when it comes to price and changes that the homeowners requests. It was planned by architect but Julio recommended a change, which was very realistic. My heated floors and fancy shower are perfect. They all know what they are doing. I recently asked Julio to help my elderly neighbor with a smoke detector, he sent his electrician, fixed the issue at no cost. He is a real mench! I always enjoy dealing with him.

Found this place on facebook, Joe responded immediately on facebook messenger and got the details needed from me. He made suggestions on what kind of sealant to use for the deck. He mentioned that they were booked for the season. By this time, I was impressed with the prompt communication and their service, I have decided to go with them and wanted to wait for their next available appointment. Joe responded after a few days saying that an availability opened up and should be able to wash my deck in a couple of weeks. He kept me informed the whole time. I was given all the instructions and what to expect before their visit. On the scheduled date, their crew came and power washed the deck thoroughly. Next day, they promptly showed up and stained it. Overall, I was impressed with the service and the price. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

I'm glad George had a pleasant experience, but I did not, and would not recommend them. I hired…read moreGrime Busters to power wash my house, with special attention to all of the windows. Also, they were to power wash my deck and seal it. The windows needed special attention because spiders build webs in the windows then poop all over them. It's really gross, and I especially hired Grime Busters to take care of this problem. I specified this as the reason I was getting my house pressure washed. As such, I was told to remove all of my window screens to ensure the best results. So when they were finished, imagine my anger when I looked in my upstairs window and it looked as if water hadn't touched the window at all. OK. We all make careless mistakes. I called and someone came back out to inspect the job of the previous person. Agreed they didn't do a good job, but he didn't come back with a pressure washer to fix the problem! He asked me to use my pressure washer...uhh, WHAT? That's not all. The original washer also left whole areas of my deck unwashed then sealed over them. You could look and tell the angle he washed the stairs and balusters - imagine the sun casting a shadow is the best way I can describe it. So of course when he sealed the deck, whole areas of the deck didn't get sealed, because they weren't washed properly. I was also told the seal would last (assuming proper washing, of course) for 3-5 years. Even on the areas I felt were properly washed, rain water stopped beading on the deck within weeks. The last thing is they were to restain my white deck railings, and they did this, but sloppily. I have white wood railings on white (pvc? plastic-like) balusters. The white stain for the wood can be seen on the plastic -like balusters. In all, while I appreciated their attitude and they were very respectful, I paid $2500 to have a job done well and it was not. And returning without the equipment to correct the problem was pretty inexcusable.

So we did not park or walk in the concrete for 10 days. Mind you both entry ways to the house were done. I followed all directions of not disturbing the concrete. I also complied with advertising on my property. On Sept 22nd I noticed what was considered a "settlement" crack per Tim. He also stated that it takes a total of 28 days for the concrete to completely cure. I was told someone would come out to repair it. I continued to reach out and was told they were really busy. Then once winter arrived I knew they wouldn't be able to do the work. Fast forward to March I started tracking out again. They finally came in April to "patch" the crack. It rained about 3 hours after they left and it looked as if nothing had been done. I reached back out and was told that is the way it's supposed to look and they would be back. Well now it's June almost July and no one has returned and now another crack has surfaced. Although they have been nice and courteous the follow-up does not meet expectations. It'll soon be a year and I paid as agreed but the service once they get your money lacks.
