I found them here on Yelp and I obtained 3 quotes for the job. I had the quotes reviewed by an independent contractor who told me L&R's quote was what the job should reasonably cost. I called 4 references who all had a similar and very positive experience. Lawrence always communicated with me about schedule which had not been the case with other contractors. They were there working on my job every day, not showing up once or twice a week like some others. Any fluctuation to schedule or budget was discussed and agreed upon by both parties. We had a couple of unexpected plumbing delays but that was due to the original build not being up to the current code. I changed direction on a couple of design decisions and Lawrence was right there with me. The work was exceptional and the end product is amazing. I have had the nightmare contractor experience so was very cautious. This was exactly as the process should be and I plan to have them back in the fall to do more work. I give them my highest recommendation!

But then I spoke to Valerie and she is just so warm and friendly that I immediately got the best vibes. Wes and his partner then came out to do a free consultation to evaluate a few projects I needed done and were nice enough to give me different quotes for each. As someone who has to do proposals for their job, I can appreciate how tedious this step is and so I really appreciate that small gesture! The quotes were fair and reasonable and as soon as I signed off, the work was scheduled instantly. One thing that really stuck out to me, aside from the frequent updates from my girl, Valerie was when Wes called me to ask about HOA regulations for the railing I had replaced, as he noticed that all of the houses in my neighborhood (because he drove around to look on his own accord!) hafnd a different railing that I ordered. He wanted to bring it to my attention so I did not end up paying a ton of money for work that my HOA could potentially make me redo. I just think that is a the kind of service that builds trust. So, David smoothed out the walls, plugged the holes from the old mirrors, and repainted. CHECK! My mailbox had the gangster lean so he put in a new one. The winds have not been kind to my shutters so he secured them all. AND, the fascia around the garage was rotting so PVC was used for replacements. ALL with time to spare! Thanks again! We converted two rooms plus a hallway into a master suite as well as split two large upstairs rooms into three. We had structural concerns and lots of logistics to work out and I wouldn't trust anyone other than Mike to draw up the plans to make sure everything is safe and up to code. Al oversaw the projects and was in constant communication with us and regularly was on site to make sure everything was going smoothly. If anything wasn't 100% correct or what we had discussed, he would make sure it was remedied. Big shout out to Franz who even showed up to work the day after his wife had a baby! The M3 team worked late days and on weekends (with our consent) to meet their deadlines, even when the county held them up with permitting issues they still worked hard to finish within our timeframe. We even made major changes to our plans after construction had begun and they were able to pivot and help us get more square footage for the upstairs bedrooms. There were also numerous curveballs that they handled with ease (ya never know what you'll get with an old house). This was our first time doing any sort of large project and the team at M3 gave us plenty of guidance and support to make sure the finished product exceeded our expectations. This contractor came in with a blank contract template, asking me to sign it. There had been no details of the kind of work that was to be done, and when I mentioned the lack of information, he said I could fill it out myself. He kept insisting to sign the contract and give him an immediate deposit. I obviously declined signing a blank contract, and he started to try and intimidate me which I found so ridiculous. I just told him we will find someone else. Very unprofessional, and people should know.
