He mentioned they may only be able to do the consultation since they had another job, so from the very start I felt like we were receiving rushed service. Dan and his apprentice spent a little less than an hour knocking holes in our drywall (in one closet he just started hitting the wall with a hammer) only to make his way up to the attic to tell me we had a roof leak. As I had mentioned in my original consultation, this was in fact a vent pipe leak that I would have been happy to pay to have addressed. Instead, we went through two roof consultations before I crawled up in the attic and fixed the vent pipe myself. I tried to reach out to Dan to let him know this was actually a plumbing issue and received no response. We found TNT through one of the Yelp project requests and I deeply regret choosing them as opposed to some of our other options. Between the price paid, the lazy investigation of the pipe, and the lack of response when I reached out to have the situation rectified, I am seriously disappointed with their service.

Luckily we have an unfinished basement and we have only the HVAC and water heater in there. We had over 16 inches in the basement! Luckily we got a recommendation for Van and we called him on Christmas morning. He promised to be here by 10 AM the next day. And sure enough he arrived by 9:30 AM with his wife. He quickly assessed the situation and for to work right away - took out the old sump pump, installed a temporary pump to drain all the water (enough to fill a swimming pool), and then install a new sump pump. There was a second drain in the basement that was clogged too. Van was able to use an electric snake and unclog this drain :) It took quite a bit of work but Van finished it in good time and installed the new sump pump cleanly. We are really happy with the work done by Van and highly recommend him for any future work.

What a great experience I had with Shawn after such a terrible experience with Lowe's. After three months of being disgruntled with Lowes, one might expect that I was quite frustrated with the whole process, and I'm sure when I talked to Shawn to make the deliver appointment my frustration showed. Regardless of my attitude, Shawn has given me an absolutely exceptional customer experience. Shawn had taken me from being totally frustrated to feeling elated as she had taken control, contacted Lowe's and made sure the delivery and install went smooth. It was a pleasure working with Plumb Cheap and I truly feel lucky that they were the contracted plumber. The important piece about this whole situation was, the washer was to be installed by Lowes, but they did not do the install by the time Plumb Cheap came out to install the dryer. Some responses. Roto-Rooter was the one that could come within a hour. Others would take longer. We are glad we went with this service. The plumber arrived with the time told on the phone. He quickly assessed the valve and our plumbing. He had to search for the home's main shutoff valve. He found it, using good logic. Along the way, he gave great insights about the home's plumbing. No extra charge Oh, he made sure to put on shoe covers onside the house. My wife appreciates that. The replacement valve wasn't on his truck but he was able to go out and get it quickly. It was a better version of a shutoff valve than the old one. After replacing it, he checked to make sure it didn't leak. The bill was about $225. Well worth it for the quick service. Also, the repair has a one year warrant. Now to get the dishwasher installed, but that's another business to review.
