Awful!!! I would give it a zero if it were an option. I have golfed here many times in the past, never thought it was great or the staff was friendly, but nothing like my last and definitely final experience here. I took my 11-year-old son here for his birthday this past Tuesday. I am not new to golf, but my son is, so I took him at a time I knew would be slow. Staff was unfriendly from the start. We were approached twice during the first hole. First complaining they didn't realize my son was inexperienced and to make sure we knew not to hold anybody up (nobody in front or behind us waiting). Second, we were approached at the green and told my son was too slow and not so nicely asked to leave (still nobody waiting to tee off). After embarrassing my son, we packed up and returned to the clubhouse. Not sure exactly what their issue with us was, as we were not going slow and definitely weren't holding anyone up. I have golfed here many times with my husband, brother and friends with no questioning of our speed or skill level. I had to return the next day to retrieve a club I left behind and was treated just as bad, if not worse by the man at the front desk. I wanted to notify upper management of the issue but was informed he couldn't help and I'd have to call later. Also attempted to question why their website says "for all ages and abilities" when clearly that is not true. Was told it did not say that (by all 3 employees I dealt with) and the manager told me I should have gone elsewhere. They are none of what they claim on their site. My family and newest golfer will never return and happily bring our business elsewhere!

Love the Par 5 second hole that gives you a chance to get on in two if you hit a strong drive!

Wow! Cedar Glen is def a hidden gem! This course really has improved since I played it last. Beautifully maintained fairways and greens, 1 of the tee boxes is having trouble with pine needles, but that's normal. The Third hole (an elevated Par 3 of 226 yards) is as hard a hole as you'll encounter anywhere :) . Only golf course I know you can walk in the Pro Shop and play 9 or 18 weekdays or weekends and be teeing off within 15 minutes, that's unheard of....coming back with my buddies.

    What a dump!

I spent three days here in June, and played the Senator and Legislator twice each and the Judge once. What a treat! The Senator is a links style layout that is very challenging. There are no trees, moderate elevation changes, lots of bumps, and plenty of sand bunkers. There are many blind shots where strategic placement of drives and layups are critical. The wind was blowing when we played, and I imagined it was close to playing an old course somewhere in Scotland. This Legislator is a beautiful course that is a traditional layout. The course meanders through woodlands and tree lined fairways. The back nine starts with a memorable ride past the clubhouse. The cart path winds down an elaborate wooden bridge. The back nine has some unique holes with a stretch that runs along a mountain ridge. #15 is a par four with a dramatic downhill tee shot to a wide fairway. I thought the Judge was hardest and most beautiful of the three courses. It runs along the Alabama River and water is in play on most of the holes. The view from #1 tee box is spectacular. It is extreme downhill drive to a narrow fairway. Two of the par threes are essentially shots to an island greens that require precise accuracy. This track measures about 5900 yards from the white tees, but it feels much bigger. The par fives are long and difficult(#7 measured 575 yard and #10 is 503).

They believe you are doing them a favor. Not used to that in this part of the country. The only negative was that the wait staff at lunch was unorganized and slow. But, it did not detract from great rounds of golf. You should go, you will be happy you did.
