We had a great time going riding a this stable. All the staff was very nice and accommodating. Being a horse owner myself I found their horses wonderfully trained and well taken care of. I've been riding at many stables over the years and the fact that they stopped the ride about 10 minutes in to do a saddle check with everyone was a great first for me, since my stirrups were up to short. This was such an unexpected pleasure for me because I hadn't planned on riding. I was just going to watch the others but at the last moment I thought that I should go as well. And I am so glad that I did because my sweet horse named, Diamond, was an angel! Our guide was Jordan and I think there was another one, who's name I don't recall unfortunately, but the entire staff was wonderful. We rode on a wonderfully relaxing trail that was nearly magical, including unexpected groups of beautiful yellow butterflies resting on the mud bank, and a lovely couple of treks through a gentle creek. I would go right now, if time permitted! Obviously, dress comfortably and wear sensible shoes and take your mask but, don't worry they offer helmets. read more

Just a couple of days ago we went riding with Cedar Creek Stables. Over the years we have been to different stables and this is the best experience I've had so far... from the friendliness of the staff, to the cleanliness of the stable and the location of the ride... it was second to none. The horses are so well taken care of and absolutely beautiful! As another reviewer mentioned, they stopped a few minutes into the ride to do a saddle check, which also shows that they are very safety conscious. Our guide was super sweet and when my sister dropped a glove in the creek, she even stopped and got down to retrieve it for her. We only did the 1 hr but next time I'll definitely go for the 2 hr ride! You will not regret going here!!! It was the highlight of our vacation. read more

Our family of five had the most amazing time today. We got their early and fished, played with the puppy, and ate our picnic lunch. The place was clean and organized and even had a nice bathroom. The ride itself was awesome. The horses pretty much knew what to do. They just needed some help on occasion. The kids were begging to go back again. Just be sure to book ahead. read more

We showed up on a drizzly Thursday morning with no reservation, and two very excited granddaughters, ages 3 and 4. The gentleman running the place said without a reservation, we'd most likely have to wait a while, for another larger group that was out already with his staff and horses. We settled in for the long haul, but I could hear the gentleman on the phone with someone in his staff, and before too long at all, he told us he may be able to get us out much sooner! The girls were so excited, and so were us parents and grandparents! Within 20 minutes of arriving, they had our tickled little granddaughters saddled in on the backs of Miss Gypsy and Buster. The gentleman and a young lady on his staff proceeded to walk the girls on a lengthy little path for a much longer ride than we were expecting! The girls never quit smiling, and the folks at Cedar Creek kept telling them about the horses. It was a beautiful trip on an otherwise rainy, cloudy cold day! When I went to pay, I was very surprised at the reasonable price. These folks know how to treat a family, and run a family friendly business! We'll be back!!! read more

Wow!!! BEAUTIFUL place!! BEAUTIFUL HORSES!! Beautiful People!! My horse was amazing! I was a bit fearful at first as I didn't know what to expect. When we first arrived, we were greeted by Howard who tried to help us find food nearby. Lol! We were wayyy early & a bit hungry We ended up having a small picnic in the waiver area with snacks we brought. There was a beautiful lake area filled with rocking chairs and a picturesque view... Wish I took more photos. When we started to the stable, we met Akeely (sorry if I mis spelled) and Betty Jo. We were given instructions, saddled up & adjusted for safety, and began our ride with Akeely. The trails were AMAZING!! BEAUTIFUL & Unique. We went UP & DOWN different types of trails. The trails were smooth, rocky, muddy, narrow, wide, uphill & downhill! We saw GIGANTIC spiders, Deer, a creek, and probably more than we recognized. Two hours went by faster than I had imagined with so much to see and experience. I had last gone riding in Pennsylvania, this was the BEST experience thus far... THE WORST EXPERIENCE! Had our family and kids already to go and 10 minutes before arriving they called us and said they could not take us on the ride. We were running behind because yelp said it was 16 miles and when we mapped it it was over 30 miles. The difficult part was that there was no apology, no attempt to help us get rebooked, nothing. Only a comment about worrying about a bad yelp review from a family that might have to wait 10 or 15 minutes for our arrival. Would have understood if we hadn't called and asked if it was OK to be 15 minutes late given the discrepancy in the mileage from Yelp to MapQuest. They told us yes and we were driving over a half hour before they canceled on us. Thank God Tammy at Riverside Riding Stables down the street welcomed us with open arms! read more

This place was awful. It might seem alright to someone who doesn't know horses but many were under fed, others over fed. Many had a cough and they almost gave me a feverish horse to ride. I really don't recommend coming here. None of the saddles fitted the horses and when they were untacking you could see the rubs and raw spots the saddles gave them. My family and I had an incredible afternoon at Cedar Creek Stables. Their team of professionals were extremely knowledgeable and attentive to every need. Nightmare. After yelp mapping out this place falsely as a 20 min drive, we called to announce our late arrival and were promised to be serviced regardlessly. Yet when we were almost there, they called and canceled our booked ride. No offer of help or consideration was offered, the owner hung up on us and we were left with 2 disappointed kids and two frustrated adults. So grateful that Riverside Riding Stables saved us with impeccable, warm hearted service - just down the road!! read more

Took my mom, brother, and his fiancé horseback riding for my moms bday. First, this property is GORGEOUS! We saw tons of wildlife and the horses were so well loved and cared for. We have been talking about all of their personalities and how much fun we had since we went! They matched us up with the horses really well, and they were all amazing to ride. Crossing the creek was so fun and we lifted our legs to stay dry but if you wanted to cool off and get your legs wet you could. The folks that guided the tour explained everything amazingly well. This tour is perfect for beginners and certainly enjoyable for all levels. The best afternoon and memories we will cherish for a lifetime. My mom is 71 now and she has struggled to get off the horse but they kept her safe and handled it with such grace so they didn't embarrass her. We are grateful for their professionalism and kindness. This was a wonderful experience! This was a spontaneous weekend trip and we had no trouble making the last minute reservation. The horses are friendly and well trained. This was our first time horseback riding and we did the 1 and 1/2 hr trail which leads you up and down the mountain side. Doing this as a first time experience could have been really intimidating but Maggie, our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. Her constant reassurance and light hearted sense of humor put us at ease and left us feeling confident and relaxed. We also received friendly help and advice from the young lady minding the stables. She was a complete sweetheart! There was also a child's birthday pony ride party going on while we were there so it's a great place for children as well. Will definitely visit if we find ourselves in the area again. read more

Awesome!!! ...Our family of 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 6, 7 and 9) took a 1-hour trail ride today. It was great! The staff was incredibly friendly and the horses were very gentle. My kids, who were initially nervous, quickly felt comfortable and felt like expert riders by the end of the ride. ... He offered me a gift card or a refund since we had really intended on going! It was a classy move and made me really gain so much respect for the place and the owners!
