I have been using them for years with my kids, I have 3 kids ages 2, 5 and 7. We have been happy with them because the convenience of them being close to home and the availability of same day sick visits and allowing us to do shots at our pace. We have loved Dr Feldman and Dr P and were extremely sad to hear Dr P was retiring. My first experience with the newest Dr there did not go well.
My youngest son had an ear infection the beginning of Oct took him in, no medication ordered. In couple days brought him back and she ordered an antibiotic that did not help because in 1 week he was still pulling on his ears. When we returned for a 3rd time she ordered another antibiotic but also spent the entire time on google searching for diagnoses other than an ear infection although she said his ears were red and had fluid. So we started the next antibiotic hoping his infection would pass before we left for Disney. The ear infection passed, we finished the antibiotic the first day of vacation and he developed oral thrush from the antibiotics. Now we were in Fl and I don't have a Dr there obviously. I called cedar bridge to ask them to send me some antifungal cream and liquid for my baby for thrush. They told me no, I need to go to urgent care. I called urgent care in FL and they told me they don't treat children, I'd have to go to the emergency room. I called cedar bridge back and asked to speak to someone else and begged for them to send me something so I didn't need to spend the whole day in the ER, I explained also I am an RN with my bachelors and I know what thrush is. Finally they send some nystatin liquid to the pharmacy for Jedd but don't send any cream for breasts. Now, in order to treat oral thrush in babies who are breastfed you have to simultaneously treat the breasts. Needless to say, my son still has thrush and I called to make an appointment today but wanted to know if they would prescribe me the cream if we came in. They told me that I needed to see my Dr for the cream, whom I called but was unable to see me until next week. She doesn't have same day sick visits, i'd have to go to urgent care. Their receptionist said that the cream should've been ordered from the pediatrician because it is not only treatment for me but for the baby. He can't get better without it. So now my sons 2nd bday is tomorrow and he will be in pain and uncomfortable for it because he still has thrush thanks to them.
I called Dr Sunkavalli office at Soch and explained my situation. They were shocked and said I could come in today and get the cream. So yea we are switching.
Also I needed to make an appointment for my other son for a different issue and I called last night and asked when I would be able to make an appt for Dr Feldman, well she only works Tuesday evenings and is booked for the next week so I'd have to wait 2 weeks to see her or see the other dr there instead who I don't feel comfortable with. Very frustrated with them and would not recommend to anyone anymore. read more
