The women at the front desk are welcoming, the nurses are kind and professional, and I have always been able to get an appointment the same day when my daughter is sick. They have extended office hours too, and the one time I needed to call outside of office hours, I got a call back right away. Dr. Mate helped support me when I was having a difficult time breastfeeding. He encouraged me to stick with it if that's what I wanted, but also told me it was okay to supplement with formula when my daughter started losing weight. I was at a very vulnerable point as a new mom, and I appreciated his non-judgmental, comforting approach. He was sensitive to my postpartum emotions and helped relieve the pressure I was putting on myself. At every visit, he takes the time to thoroughly answer my questions and his explanations seem to be based on the most current research. I can't personally speak about the rest of the doctors in this practice, but I would definitely recommend Dr. Mate.

What initially attracted me to the practice was that the Red Bank office is open Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (except 2 days of the year) for sick visits. I am extremely satisfied with the care my son gets from all of the doctors. I have never felt like I shouldn't have gone in when he has been sick. I have gone in many times because of coughs, wheezing, skin rashes and was never made to feel "funny" about going so many times. My only suggestion would be to have more evening appointments.
