As soon as they called my name they said I needed an x-ray (to charge my insurance). I had come in specifically because my tendons have been aching and pulsing for the past two weeks. The PA first came in to see me and ask a few questions. He was very nice and listened intently. Then the doctor came in and said my x-rays were good (which I already knew), and mentioned that people when they first start working out sometimes overdue it. I told him that I've been working out for ten months. He then said that not everyone is meant to be a line backer....what! He made no sense what so ever, and never bothered to tell me what I had! Before he left I mentioned that I had flat feet, so he asked me to stand on my tip toes. He said I have "flexible flat feet" and instead of explaining how that could be affecting my knees, he gave my a business flyer to get new shoes at a running store (my shoes are already from a running store). He then left the room without explaining my symptoms, and never said good-bye. So, in my mind I thought he was coming back, but he never did. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. Btw, he is the only Orthopedic there.

When I fell one night in Wynwood, little did I think I would experience an on-and-off pain in my…read moreankle for weeks. It got to the point that I had to go to urgent care to then go to a podiatrist to then be told I needed physical therapy. Luckily for me, I got sent to Florida Occupational Healthcare. For a month, three times a week, I had therapy at 7 in the morning. To begin with, I'm not even a morning person, yet these people made it worth my while. I didn't dread coming in the morning. I was always treated with kindness and respect. From the receptionists to the physical therapists, every single person working has a smile on their face. Not to mention that one of the therapists, Danny, makes some amazing coffee. That aside, my therapist was Alain and I'm grateful that he was with me in my journey to fully recover from my sprained ankle. He wasn't just my therapist, he was someone who pushed me to do better in and out of therapy. I don't doubt that now that I return to the gym I will be taking with me some of the exercises I did at physical therapy. All in all, I'm glad that if I had to get physical therapy, I got sent here. They treat you like family. I'm happy I've healed, but I'll miss everyone. I guess with that, I have one thing left to say: Thank you, all, for doing what you do.

Jennifer, I believe, is the only English speaking receptionist & while she is very nice in person, either she doesn't return calls or isn't getting messages left for her. That said, DR SERPA IS AMAZING!! Once you meet him, it is obvious why he is one of the best in this field. Confident, Capable, Knowledgeable, Experienced, Caring & Trustworthy are easily associated with him.
