Scam Alert! I…read morescheduled an initial consultation with this doctor to go over my MRI results and discuss non-surgical options to repair the slap tear on my shoulder. The consultation consisted of the doctor looking at the MRI results I provided him on his computer, some discussion of physical therapy treatments, an ultrasound to confirm the MRI findings and what he said was a complimentary cortisone shot. One month later I receive a bill for $1,145.00. Whaaaaaaaaat?!?! Outrageous. I call his assistant who tells me, "Well can you pay half that?" I said no. She then says "How about $300?". Um, what kind of racket are they running over there? I never hear back and then a week later I get an email demanding I pay the full balance by the 1st of the month. I replied that I would be taking this up with my insurance company. My insurance company told me that I was not responsible for those exaggerated prices and that the maximum they can bill $476.00. Well, they just went ahead and charged the full balance to my credit card. This is a complete and total scam. Beware.

I have a very large herniated disk at L5/S1, a bulged disk…read moreat L4/L5. I lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks of major pain, I was desperate for a solution without surgery. A friend told me about Dr Moyal. I have been using the DRX protocol for about 5 weeks now. The pain has gone wrong 30 over 10 (meaning the worse pain experience) taking Opium based pain killer oxycodone every 3 hours to "survive" to now between 3-4 over 10 only with just 1 Aleve a day. I can now function almost normally, but with great care. It is very expensive, about $5000 for a duration of care over 4-6 months. But it may help me to avoid a very expensive and dangerous surgery. If you have a back herniated disk and the surgeon recommend surgery but you are looking for an alternative solution, the DRX decompression therapy might be a very positive solution. I will update this review in 3-4 months.

I should have shopped around and found a different provider .I undoubtedly would have paid thousands of dollars less , my credit would not have been ruined ., and my newly constructed acl would still be in tact . Some of the things I wish I knew before getting my surgery done by this provider are : 1) while HE is in network the OUTPATIENT SURGICAL SUITE (DOCS) is NOT nor is the ANESTHESIOLOGIST he partnered with to do my surgery . To date I have had to pay $1200+ additional because this was not disclosed to me . I also have had a $2000 bill recently go into collections related to the anesthesia I received during my surgery . The anesthesia group ( conservative care ) has horrible reviews as well as the medical debt collection agency they sold my debt off to . 2) while the specific type of acl reconstruction surgery he performed is better than the alternative cadaver graft procedure ...the specific type of surgery he performed has a high retear rate for ( over 60%) for women . I did everything he told me to do and while I was on the east coast recovering my knee gave out and I fell down a flight of stairs . He had told me to stop wearing my brace but if I knew about the high retear rate I would not have . I am now exactly where I was before getting the surgery in terms of having limited mobility and chronic knee pain but the main difference is that I am thousands of dollars poorer and my credit is ruined . As a provider he and his administrative staff should have disclosed to me or at least encouraged me to verify that the entities he partnered with were also in network . He should have also disclosed what the risks were and given me accurate data about possible a retear. Other good providers who really care about their patients would have .
