I'm looking for a orthopedic doctor to treat my severe tendonitis ankle injury. I have tricare/humana insurance. Can you work with me or recommend a good doctor?

Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately as we are a spine office, we would not be the best option for you in treating your tendonitis ankle injury. You would be in better care with a orthopedic specialist of the foot and ankle. We would be happy… Read more

My herniated discs were severe for many many years and was suffering so much pain. No doctor would operate, they would send me to therapy and I would get better for a little bit but now, no more pain for me!! Dr. Hyde is a pioneer in minimally invasive spine surgery and is a spine consultant to the Miami City Ballet. The nurses and staff on his team are super caring and very responsive to all my questions and concerns. I feel GREAT!!! This is the Dr. to go to for your spine issues.......... you wont regret it!! http://health.usnews.com/doctors/jonathan-hyde-28373

It wasn't until I woke up from surgery that he said he had to because of the severity of my lumbar spine. 6 months later I had another surgery where some screws came lose and he had to replace them and put in a bracket so more screws didn't come lose, and he almost had to Crack a rib to put the bracket in, but my ribs bent enough, so he didn't have to Crack any ribs. Then a month later I had another surgery because one of the titanium rods got bent outward and sticking out my back like a tent pole and he had to cut it out.. How does one of the strongest metals in the world, bend. Those surgeries were in Aug 2017, Jan 2018, and then Feb 2019. Then In July 2021, I had all the rods, screws, brackets, and pins removed, except he left 2 screws in my spine. He told me on 3 different locations, why he left 2 screws in my back. 1st time when I woke up from surgery, he said that they were left just as a precaution next to 2 different disc's in my spine, L1/2, and L3/4. When I saw him in his office 2 weeks later he said it had left the 2 screws in, because that's where the bracket was he put in and would have had to Crack my ribs to take them out, but he was able to rake the bracket out, which makes no sense. Then 3 months later in Oct 2021, we got in an argument because my back was hurting in my lumber spine and the mri shows a little swelling where the 2 screws were, and he eventually yells at me and said I quote, " If would have taken those screws out, it would have f*****g killed you. Now in 2024, I'm still having lower back problems, and I walk bent forward, and now I will have to use a walker the rest of my life and I'm only 55.

The doctor gave me a physical and didn't feel an MRI was necessary so he sent me for X-rays and autoimmune testing. The initial visit was great but the follow through has not been. I told the doctor that I react badly to medications and preferred not to take any but since he felt my pains could be inflammatory caused by autoimmune conditions he sent me a prescription for an anti inflammatory. I called the hospital a week later to set up a follow up appointment and was told it wasn't necessary because all of my results came back normal. I requested several times to be given access to the patient portal in order to see my results and I have been told repeatedly that they already emailed me the invitation. The last email I have from them was in 2016. I called back (each time waiting at least 10 minutes to speak to someone) and I am told they don't know who can help me with that. In the meantime, two weeks after my visit I had to go to urgent care for a severe sore throat. Turns out I have thrush. I have never had this before and the only new thing I was doing was taking the medicine the doctor prescribed. I called back to speak to the doctor and find out if it could be a side effect from the medication and the nurse told me she would speak to him and get back to me. Still no call. I decided to research the side effects of the medication and what I am experiencing is definitely on the list along with a few other gastrointestinal ones I didn't realize were also being caused by the medication. Now I'm on antibiotics against my better judgement due to my condition but I am stuck with no answers and no support. I am extremely frustrated!!

I expressed my concerns about it helping but that's where you have to start in this day and age if you're not a sports star. Anyway I was surprised to get a phone call from the Doctor later that day! He wanted to further discuss my hesitancy and offer additional possibilities such as injection of lubricants solution. I advised I was pursuing getting to PT and would consider the injection if PT feels pain is causing inability of function. Would recommend this practice. Dr. Michael Yurubi, D.O. Was the treating physician. I had my doubts as he is not an 'MD' and I am old school but he was knowledgeable and had training under the Miami Heat physician. Finally I grew up in Miami and very aware of this practice. I even went to school with one of the doctors, Keith Hechtman and of course everyone knows Dr Harlan Selesnick of The Miami Dolphins and Heat. So I would trust them for my needs and you should too.
