Dr. Cook, his nurse Maddy and office assistants Nancy and Pilar are all very polite and professional, lovely staff. I was looking for a podiatrist to help me with Tinea pedis (toe fungus) , when I came across Dr. Cook's webpage there were photo's of feet with nail fungus that was treated with laser treatment. WHO KNEW! I am excited to try laser treatments, unfortunately it's not covered by most insurance companies:( but well worth the investment to be free of fungus trauma! Dr. Cook and his office staff are amazing. I had minor foot surgery for a osteophyte (aka bone spur) at an outpatient surgical facility under general anesthesia exactly 1 week ago today. I am thrilled to report that I experienced absolutely no pain at all the day of the surgery nor the other 3 days of rest. I followed Dr. Cook's orders to ice and keep foot elevated and there was no need for pain medication. I was also able to return to work after the 3 days. Started treatment for fungus in my toes due to trauma. Dr. Cook recommendation along with antibiotic, laser. spray for shoes, and ointments cleared up the fungus in less than a year. Update: I hate to do this but I have to amend my review. I stand by my comments about Dr. Cook and nursing staff, but the administrative staff leave a lot to be desired. Initially I thought they were professional but that goes out the window when you actually need help with something. I've been trying to get a copy of a bill for insurance purposes for weeks to no avail! It is the typical Miami Shuffle and their dismissive attitude of the details that impact patients is unacceptable. I would seriously debate having further care at this practice just because of the hassle. This excellent doctor needs to surround himself with excellent staff! Dr. Cook and staff are great! They have been very accommodating and helpful. Dr. Cook is professional but personable. He takes the time necessary to explain the procedures. I had been seeing another podiatrist but I wanted a second opinion. Dr Cook was polite. He said everything was fine. By the time I checked out I had a hemp pain relieving gel, some biotin supplement and $110 less. My copay is $10. I now have a chronic infection in the place where I asked him about it. Then I received an unexpected bill from DR. Cook. They are charging me for the portion of the bill that the insurance didn't pay but in my insurance statement it says my responsibility is zero, just like the 5 times I have been at the other Dr. where they have not even charged me for the copay! I just called and tried to solve this problem but the lady was intransigent and unpleasant. I told her to cancel my upcoming appointment and she said " fine". read more

I rolled my ankle & fractured my fibula. Dr Cook was in my network and had some good reviews online. I'm sure glad I found him! My first appointment was me struggling in a splint from urgent care - he sent me for an MRI immediately and was able to get my results expedited back to him so I could return the sane day to get a compression wrap on (because my swelling was so bad). Fortunately I did not need surgery as my fracture was not displaced. I went back 10 days later & was placed in cast. I'm still in recovery with more appointments in my future but Dr Cook and his office staff make each visit comfortable! All the staff is super nice & helpful - always allowing my boyfriend to borrow their wheelchair to assist me from the car to the office. I rarely have any waiting time & the doctor is friendly & efficient. All great things for someone who never broke anything before and needs to feel comforted & safe - like I'm going to be alright - from a professional! I've been 3 times so far & each visit is pleasant! I'll continue to update as I recover! read more

I had surgery with Dr Cook 15 mo ago. The most terrible experience, since it was the little toe; it is still hurting much more than before surgery & it is very swollen & red. I have been told by another specialist that was a simple procedure & he sees no reason for this. I am not able to wear any shoes, but wide sneakers & the pain, it is terrible. I think there should be a compensation for my suffering; its not right that he has ruined by feet like that read more
