Dr. Cecilio, was the best doctor, that i had, was very sad when I receoved the letter that she was retiring, i had been with her for 30 years. She cared alot about her patients and would not turn down any new patients. I had taking my brother for her to check out my brother finger due to an infection he had from and injury, explaned to the doctor that he had no insurance and she still saw him, waited to be charge for the visit and there was no charge, but she scolded him because he has a heart problems and told him to bring paperwork in so she can fill it out so that he can have medical insurance. She once told me when anytime one of us ends up in the hospital to have the hospital to call her to let her know. My daughter was 2 yrs old, she broke her arm, we took her to the hospital, she needed surgery, so her visit would be a longer stay, i asked them to call Dr. Cecilio so they can let her now that one of her patient was in the hospital, I also keep asking for the surgeon, due to my baby was in alot of pain. I asked if the had called Dr. Cecilio again and the told me that she was in a conference and they left her a message. Dr. Cecilio finally called us and told me not to worry, Cassandra was in the best of hands with Dr. Bohr, i said ok, and as soon as she gets out of her conference, she would take the frist flight out and come and see Cassandra. What can I say other than I am extremely disappointed with the decline of care that Dr. has given my parents. They are both a bit older and she has zero regards to their need for care and follow up. She's not accessible and really seems to simply not care anymore. My mom is currently in the ICU due to negligence on an existing condition. I believe as a primary care physician the focus should be on patients and their immediate needs, thinking outside the box and ensuring patient follow up. We are working on finding a new physician for my parents. Stay away! read more

If I could leave zero I would. This is by far the most frustrating doctor to deal with they never answer nor return phone calls. I had a mammogram in the beginning of February and the facility is requesting additional ultrasounds which they cannot perform without an authorization from my pcp and this lady does not submit the referral. I had an appointment to review my results of the mammogram with her on April 2023 and just received notification that she bumped by appointment date to July 2023. It is impossible to get an appointment! I called several times as I was a new patient to try to get in for an appointment and couldn't be some until MONTHS later because her office is either closed,the dr is busy or she's on vacation.. twice I've been told she's on vacation which yea doctors deserve a break but I can't be seen until MONTHS later?? you're better off going to the ER or urgent care to be seen then coming here. Dr Cecilio does not care about her elderly patients, she is my 94 year old mothers primary care physician. As of 03/01/23, my mother will no longer be her patient. Her "office" puts off appointments, especially "after ER" follow up appointments. The ER instructs you to see your primary care physician within a week to two of release. This is never an option with Dr Cecilio. We have tried several times to get my mother in for follow ups and we can't get an appointment with any kind of urgency and they absolutely do not call you back. And the office is a whole other complaint! You can not get anyone to answer until after at least an hour to an hour and a half hold. Hopefully you are not calling because you are in pain or have health issues, you will not be acknowledged or seen for at least a month or two. read more

If I could rate zero star is I would but atleast one star for the doctor.. Dr. Cecilio is actually a good doctor but the staff is TERRIBLE. You can be released from the ER and they recommend to see your pcp in 3 days and they don't have anything for weeks or months... like yeah that's going to work.. recently called for the dr and got a call returned by a very RUDE and argumentative medical assistant named ANNIE OR ANNY ... I don't think it's right for a medical assistant to yell at their patients...being very sarcastic on the phone saying no we don't do or this. These questions I had were for the doctor not for her. This ridiculous. Hopefully, the manager Helena can make it right. Beyond livid and flabbergasted for a health professional to treat a patient like that. I have not had such a wonderful Primary Doctor in over 40 years. Dr. Cecilio's the kindest and most thorough Doctor to go over all my labs, to ask if any changes or issues effecting me, personally or my daily activities, including my sleep. I was feeling more tired than usual and it was something deficient which she promptly discovered in my LabResults. I feel compassion when she treats me and am always amazed that she takes my health seriously, as I have had issues with doctors in the past. I strongly recommend her to anyone who is in need of a knowledgeable, concerned and compassionate Doctor. She has referred me to amazing specialists when I needed their care. read more

Good luck with this place it is horrible and they don't care about anybody's schedule and very make you wait for long periods of time once you enter their lobby you'll see its a cattle call ! There's about 50 chairs for patients so make yourself comfortable you're going to wait an awful long time. Several years ago one of the doctors at this office did not notice that my mother's blood pressure was off the charts stroke level. How is it even possible that these doctors didn't notice! Thankfully I ended up leaving there and driving her straight to a nearby hospital ER room where they were floored when I told them we were came directly from her doctors office. As of 10 days from writing this review, I am very disheartened with Dr Rosario Cecilio. At first I thought she was a great doctors, but the past 10 days have been hell for me. I have been 2 times in the same day, this first doctor at Coast Plaza told me I had acute bronchitis without even listening to my lungs, sent me with Keflex and cough medicine. Later that night, I got much worse, I went with my son to Whittier Hospital Colima, where I stayed and waited for 8 hours, and got a battery of tests done, such as taking 8 vials of blood and. 4 COVID tests that same night. I found out I had 2 strands of COVID: original and Omicron. (And I'm fully vaccinated and boostered!) Dr Cecilio won't even return my calls. I called for Tramadol because aches so badly, as if a truck ran over me, then backed up and ran over me again. I called the exchange, and the woman said Dr Cecilio didn't have my pharmacy number, which she actually has because she prescribed me sciatica medicine when I first saw her. This is my 3rd brush with COVID, now I have two strains at the same time. I guess the Hippocratic Oath doesn't apply to her unless she's in the mood to call. All I needed was some damned Tramadol. Guess I was wrong once again. So think twice about going in to seeing her. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with her (lack of) service. read more

My mom has been Dr.Cecilio Rosario's patient for years, she is very good doctor. The reason for bad rating is my mom could never get same day appointment or walk in if she was sick. Appointments are about 1-3 wks out. Recently my mom was seen in ER for severe abdominal pain and needed to follow up with PCP asap since still in alot pain. Called office and was told Dr.Cecilio Rosario was on vacation/out for 2 weeks and covering doctor was out sick as well that day. I then asked to see any available doctor in the group and was refused. So I asked if I just walked in and and waited for no show/cancellation could my mom be seen that day, and was told no to go back to ER. At that point I'd had it!! Called insurance and changed PCP office to another group who saw my mom same day as new patient for her continued abdominal pain after ER visit. read more

This review has been a long time coming. I don't know whether to blame Dr Rosario or her office staff. I am not sure what goes on here. If you have an appointment, shouldn't it somewhat be on-time? I have waited in the waiting room for at least 30 minutes after my appointment.. then another full hour in the private room. Dr. Rosario is okay.. but not easy to talk to. My mom also had her and I changed her immediately after Dr. Rosario had no patience for answering all of moms questions. This is also after mom was turned around because they couldn't take her in when she had a huge concern with her growing belly. Mom ended up going to the ER and turns out she had a huge 5 lb cyst in her uterus!!! anddd it was cancerous! Thank goodness for the great staff at Whittier Hospital! So needless to say I found her a great doctor!!!! So happy with her. I also changed my PCP after doing my homework. My new doctors office is amazing!!! there is no wait time! I go in and I'm out very quickly! I had to make an appointment at least 2 months early. So I actually was at Urgent Care more often than I ever was at her office. I also had an issue with them not sending my prescription to CVS!!! They told me my prescription should be ready by the time i get there 5 minutes away... CVS said they never receive it. I called the Doctors office and of course their phones go off at 5pm. Had to wait til the next day. Let me give you an example... Rosarios office: Appointment time: 4:30pm Called into room: 5:00pm Doctor into room: 5:50pm Check-Out time: 6:30pm Home: 6:45pm vs. My FIRST TIME at my new office: Appointment time: 4:00pm Called into room: 4:00pm Doctor into room: 4:10pm Check-Out time: 4:45pm Home: 5:00pm Lasted 45 minutes because I had a million questions. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Cecilio for over 10 years and have recently moved to Houston Texas . Even though I lived in California 65 years I miss the medical attention of Dr Cecilio far more than many of the other joys of living in California provided. read more

Please choose another doctor! The staff was horrendous, & the wait was 2 hours! Each appointment must be made 3 months in advance! I was ill and wanted to see my doctor...the staff was rude & told me if I was that sick go to urgent care. How rude. The doctor was not friendly either. I will never go back!
