Cecil Creek Farm was everything we ever could have wanted in a wedding venue. The farm itself is beautiful both outside and in the various indoor event locations, and even though we were particular and the weather threw us some curveballs, the staff was flexible, kind, friendly, attentive, and extremely invested in our vision for our big day. Never the expression from the farm to the table matched so well. The farm is here and they opened a kind of supermarket/restaurant where you can buy or eat some products of the place. This is just delicious. Simple, fresh with no prétention at the exception of the sharing. A must try. We had our daughter's baby shower in the Market Cafe. Everything was perfect. Rose is the event olanner and explained everything clearly and was very prompt getting back to me to answer my questions. She was great. Luna took charge of the event and it ran so smoothly. She made me feel at ease immediately. The chef Sam prepared delicious organic food and Rachel and Matthew were so pleasant and assisted us and our guests with anything we needed. Five stars for this venue in every area! read more

I found out about this farm this year ( it's their second year open). They may have a few kinks here and there but they are learning and it's worth going through their growing pains. We come often for various reasons. First, we enjoy coming for the market. We are not crop share members but maybe in the near future. The market is filled with local products and farm decor. Next, I suggest signing up for their fresh seafood pick up. It is so fresh and so delicious. You really cannot get fish this fresh unless you are catching it yourself. My favorite thing to order is the scallops. Last, we had the pleasure of experiencing the farm to fork table. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend booking it for a fun night with excellent food. Staff was attentive and really made our night special. We just had breakfast at Cecil Creek and it was a lovely experience. The dining room is in the far building, not the store closest to the road. It's a terrific space, would be perfect for a special occasion. We we seated promptly and ordered coffee which was very good. Raw sugar is provided in a stemless wineglass and cream in a mini milk bottle. We had the Farmer's Bounty and the French toast, which today was a casserole of brioche with apple cider maple syrup and apple ginger compote. The Farmer's Bounty was scrambled eggs I on top of potatoes and organic, roasted vegetables, topped with sausage gravy. We also got a side of bacon. I like that the ingredients are organic and humanely raised, and the meat is without nitrates. Both meals were delicious. Portions are not typical American-style huge but were satisfying and ideal. They have plenty of side items to supplement any entree - variety of meats, potato hash, scones, toast, oatmeal. The menu is not extensive - you have two options of special entrees. Picky eaters can choose just eggs and add whatever else they like. The ambience is cozy, and the wait staff friendly and attentive. We were there during heavy rains and the sound of it on the metal roof added to the cozy feeling. Outside there are seating areas and a fire pit. We are considering planning an anniversary party here in a few years. But in the meantime we will be back for more excellent breakfasts. And possibly lunch if we are around on Thursdays and Fridays. We came here when we were hunting for local farmer's market around town. The market is beautiful. They have so much local products to offer from meats, dairy, wine, produce, etc. This place is a must visit just for its gorgeousness! They have farm to table dinners (reservations is a must) and CSA. We tried out their peach slushy which was refreshing. We lunched outside with some delicious egg salad sandwich. They have a nice outdoor area were you can eat, drink some wine, and relax. This is an awesome place to go to after work to unwind or weekend to enjoy some down time. read more

Cecil Creek Farm has a good concept in regards to their membership program, along with their fresh/organic produce and other options. However, they are extremely pricey. Two pints of ice cream cost me over $13! I would also recommend the membership program, but only if you like to cook constantly and with different vegetables. read more

Enjoyed weekly visits to Cecil Creek Farm for organic produce last year. Tried to get on their CSA list for this year's season but they lost our enrollment and we did not get a share. Decided to still try to buy as a walk in this year and I am extremely disappointed. Went there 3 times in 2 weeks and there's never much organic produce to buy and what they have is tiny and wilted. Spoke to an employee who said they mainly do the CSA and only bring in produce for walk ins to buy on Wednesday each week. Not worth going. No longer a market! read more

There was a time I loved this place. I would drive down and get organic produce , some of their other organic offerings, like local honey etc.. I can't afford a share, but was grateful to be able to purchase produce in the market . Then it changed ownership & now the emphasis is on events & being a restaurant. Almost every time I went down there last summer the shelves were scarcely stocked & what was there didn't look very fresh. And last time I was there, when I went to pay for the few only things I found I could use, I gave the cashier a $20 bill. She gave me change for a $10. When I told her I gave her a $20, she insisted I didn't but I know I did because I only had $20/ bills on me. She finally gave me the change but her tone made me feel like she felt I was trying to rip them off. I'd been going there for a few years at this point! I've decided it is no longer worth the trip. Luckily there are more options for organic produce now. Two stars because I did buy a salad from the lunch menu and it was very good . read more

This farm and venue has so much potential but unfortunately is run by inexperienced and unfriendly staff/event planners. My niece wanted to have her wedding here. She looked at the farm and was escorted by a young girl named liz who claimed to be the farms event planner. She was not welcoming and it was clear she had no idea what she was doing. she said she would email my niece a price quote in a few days. Weeks went by and no quote was received. Liz also never told her what dates were available. My niece finally emailed the owner who said liz was on vacation. Liz wrote a quick and unprofessional email and said when she got back she'd email her. 6 weeks after the tour she finally gave her a price quote and told her 50% of the cost was due THAT WEEK and still gave no dates! So sad to say we moved on to a different venue. I looked into liz. She's a hairdresser. She has no experience and no business in the event planning industry, it's sad that she's ruining what could be a great venue. Cecil creek-- hire a real event planner! read more

I think I'm in love with Cecil Creek Farm. It's too bad I live in New York instead of New Jersey. I would LOVE to have a place like this in my town, it was adorable and their mission of keeping things local is something I admire. We were on a wine trolley tour and our second stop was at Cecil Creek Farm for a Farm to Table lunch. Our friends have a CSA share there and were familiar so they arranged things. We started with a vegetable barley soup, followed by a tomato and mozzarella Panini with pesto, and finished with apple pie. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance was exactly what I would have wanted at a farm to table lunch or dinner. They had local goods available for purchase; I could have bought the entire contents of Cecil Creek. During lunch we heard about all of the special events including cooking classes that the farm offers, CSA shares, etc. We grabbed a cup of tea and soaked up the sun outside around an adorable fire pit with Adirondack chairs. I could have lounged there all day. My next trip to visit friends in Philly/Jersey will definitely include Cecil Creek! read more

My friend and I visited the farm for my sons wedding. The first visit to the farm they promised us the accommodations we needed but after they got the deposit from us, they were not very friendly. We saw they were not organized in helping us plan or responsing back to us. We ended up losing our deposit and going somewhere else for the wedding. This place has potential to be good for weddings but at that time they did not know how to accommodate their customers. Also a little kindness will go a long way for treating potential customers in any good business. read more

Held a surprise birthday party here over the weekend and it was amazing. The venue, food and staff were so accommodating and worked hard to make sure all the guests had a great time. We decided on having a "cocktail" party so went with light fare from crab cakes, to seared scallops to grass fed beef kabobs. All we needed was some fresh flowers to pull off an amazing rustic feel.
