I am the manager of this Prometric Testing Center, and I am writing this review to give you an idea…read moreof what to expect on test day and help future test-takers find our location. We are located in the Boomer Jack's shopping center on the southeast corner of Central Drive and Airport Freeway. If you will be using your GPS to guide you, set your destination as either Boomer Jack's or Movie Tavern. That will get you to the shopping center. Locate Boomer Jack's and you'll see a tall clock tower down the walkway to the right of Boomer Jack's. We are located directly under the clock in suite 235. You will need to check with your specific test client (CPA, Texes, USMLE, FINRA, etc) to find out what identification you will need to bring to the testing center. We do provide lockers free of charge, but we encourage you not to bring valuables with you if at all possible. You will not be allowed to wear watches, fit bits, headphones, hats, or jewelry of any kind other than wedding/engagement rings and stud earrings. We encourage you to dress comfortably and in layers. You may bring your own earplugs, but we do provide "ear muff" type headphones to block out any distractions. We provide all the testing materials you will need for the exam (scratch paper, pencils, etc) except for certain exhibits or graphing/financial calculators. Again, check with your specific testing client for details about what you need to bring with you on the day of your exam. We open our front door promptly at 7am and welcome early birds. We are extremely busy during the 8am testing time, so if you arrive at 7am you will be able to miss the rush and begin testing right away. We understand how stressful taking an exam can be, so we strive to be as accommodating as possible. If you have questions not covered here, you can call us at 817-358-1390. Once the voicemail recording begins, just hit 0 and the phone will ring through to the office. If you need directions while en route to the center, please call us and we will direct you to our location. We look forward to seeing you on the day of your exam!

TIP: The center is located under & past the clock tower…read more Okay, I'm not a fan of testing centers but of the Prometric Testing Centers that I've been to, this one comes out on top. The process was smooth. I checked in and received a locker. You need to remove all your belongings except for the 2 IDs and your locker key. This includes watches (even analog!). You wait until you're called to the back. The rules are reviewed, you sign a form in a binder, receive two non-erasable laminates, get biometric scans of both your pointer fingers and checked with a metal detector prior to entering the actual testing room. You are allowed to bring your own ear foams (which I did). They also have two different types of over the head headphones but I don't recommend those cause they aren't comfortable. The chairs were comfortable though (they recline!). Each cubicle has a separate camera. One of the workers is required to enter the testing room and get a biometric scan of her finger every couple minutes.

Hola! I found this place via Groupon. I had been wanting to…read morestart learning Spanish (again), so I was glad I came across this opportunity. I had taken some Spanish classes in school, but the old adage, "if you don't use it, you lose it", is certainly true. Besides having taken those Spanish classes MANY years ago, I just never used it outside of school. Now more than ever, I really want to learn Spanish. I want to USE my Spanish. And I want to be able to communicate with Spanish speakers here and abroad. So that is what I'm doing... I'm beginning to learn all over again. ...And the process to get started was VERY easy. I called the number, spoke with Karina (the owner - who is a very lovely person, btw), told her about my Spanish speaking experience, and she told me when and where. I first began taking classes once a week, but now I am taking them twice a week. (You have the option to do either). I have had the same teacher the entire time, and she is a wonderful lady as well, Martha. I am in a small group. It is more of a tutoring environment, which I find to be much more conducive to learning. It doesn't matter what level you are at, they have a class for everyone. If you can't even count to 5 in Spanish...there is a class for you. If you speak a little Spanish or are advanced....they have a place for you also. They make sure that you are in a group where you feel comfortable with the level of Spanish that you are learning, so you don't feel overwhelmed or not being pushed enough (if that is what you desire). They offer Spanish classes for children also. I don't know much about these, as I have no children...but I do know, when I happen to glance in on their classroom while I'm going to mine, or happen to see them leaving, they sound and look happy. They also have a user friendly website. I pay for my class through that website, and it takes less than a minute to make the payment. Overall, it is a good learning and practicing environment. The teachers are helpful and enthusiastic. They have a great energy. I honestly have ZERO complaints about this program! Don't hold yourself back...if you've thought about learning Spanish...give this program a try!

The field is home to Twilight Thursdays, Bedford's own little spring concert series, and to the huge Bedford Christmas tree. More informally its my girls and I's secret spot for exploring and Ice Cream on Friday afternoon's when my 3 year old gets out of preschool. I love that they can run, collect rocks and lady bugs, climb large rocks, and dig in the dirt road (Don't worry! We always put it back!) and be safely away from traffic off of the road. I can sit on a picnic blanket and watch and not have to worry about my kids falling off of a some large plastic playground, or getting run over by a car! My only suggestion, especially for twilight Thursdays, is that those fire ant hills are crazy! I got bit several times last season.. yikes! The school house itself is classic, and is like a last piece of country history in a city that becomes more suburban and built up every day. You can see pictures from the its glory days, look at a traditional one room school house set up, attend a murder mystery dinner, or rent one of their different rooms for meetings, or the entire building for a wedding. The last time my girls and I were there, my little one had to go to the bathroom and there was a wedding set-up going on, so we were able to sneak in (with permission!) and use the restroom. The set up was adorable...a PERFECT wedding venue. If I had known this place was available back in the day when I was married, I totally would have chosen it! The wooden stair case and old beams and windows make for great photo ops! I have also attended a 50th birthday celebration here a few years back! There was plenty room for a buffet, a bar, tons of guests and a live band.. totally fun! Last year we went to the school house to take some christmas pictures, and ending up choosing one with the school house in the background for our card! We also took some family photos here last weekend... out back they have bluebonnets, and some great stairs for backdrops. ....I am kind of sad I am writing this review, because now everyone will know my secret hiding spot in HEB for pictures, parties and play! :)
