I worked with Craig Flickinger, who deserves an extra special "shout-out" for his EXCEPTIONAL customer service and support. He came out to my house, advised the best place to set the shed, and nailed a color combination of siding/shingles off the top of his head which would match my house. He wrapped up the offer and supplied me a quote within a day. After I made my decision, Craig had the site installation crew out with a week to grade and fill a nice, level stone pad, and a few weeks later came back with the delivery crew for installation. Perched on a windy hilltop, Craig worked with me to incorporate hold downs on each corner of my shed for a bit of piece-of-mind, and actually took the time to show me how the contraptions worked. Unfortunately, the delivery crew arrived without my ramp to the garage door. A few days later, after being away for work, I arrived home to see that Craig had come out and installed my ramp for me while I was away. A couple of weeks later, I noticed that the door was out of square. Knowing that I had already accepted the installation, I sent Craig a note asking if he knew of anybody that could do some repair work to correct the door. 2 days later, Craig came out to my house and spent some time to meticulously level out some of the stone under the base of my shed. This brought the door into square perfectly. I've been so completely delighted with this company that I feel compelled to write this review. The Hardscape Store and Mr. Flickinger's care and attention to ensuring my satisfaction with my purchase has been second to NONE. I highly recommend this company, and if you are in the market for a shed, look no further than The Hardscape Store. Fantastic products, fantastic solutions, fantastic service, and providers of an overall fantastic experience. Thank you guys for exemplifying what a good company is made of. You guys should be damn proud of yourselves. Mark B. Westminster, MD

We heard of them through a realtor who worked with them for another client. They gave Hauptman glowing reviews which were fully met and justified with our build. We cannot speak highly enough about the team of craftsmen that work for Hauptman. They are professional, personable and highly skilled individuals that gave our home many small but important custom finishes that we enjoy daily. Custom finishing and materials takes time to put into place and cannot be rushed. Hauptman has been in the business of building for decades and has solid relationships with all of the subcontractors required to build a home. This also attests to the type of builder that Hauptman is. When we had an issue post build with our fireplace, the contractor immediately came out and resolved it for us, replacing the defective part. First class service all the way. When we realized after our roof had been fully shingled that we needed a patio cover/roof for shade, Bill drew up 4 different options for us to choose from and seamlessly attached the sloped patio roof to our existing home structure. It looks like it was part of the original design and not the after thought that it was. Hauptman is a builder that values integrity in everything that they say and do. Their prices are very fair for this locale's market. Bill and team demonstrated a patience working with my needs for handicap features throughout our home and exceeded all of our expectations. IF you are looking for a builder that has the respect and appreciation of not only his clients but also his colleagues, give them a call. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

Sam worked closely with our designer to breath life into the vision we had for the bathrooms, kept us apprised of daily progress, and cleaned the work area daily. Everything was done to perfection. We contracted CDG to do a roofed deck to attached to our house being built by another builder. I have to say that I was highly impressed with Pete Sorge, Dan Brewer and their team. Dan Brewer was very patient and responsive during the initial consultative phase. There were 2 companies competing for our business and we are glad we went with CDG. They showed us a cheaper and efficient way to build our outdoor kitchen, saving us close to $7000 on the kitchen alone. Meeting Pete was also pleasurable experience. He was equally patient and pleasant and very flexible to meet our needs. Both guys are very laid back ease your mind. When we scaled down our walkway, the amount of credit we got was very generous. They have an open process for their pricing. We felt so much at ease that we added other aspects like walkway, front entry and mailbox. Their crew of workers were very dedicated; came to work in the cold and snowy days. My 10 and 11 years olds were asking us to get the hot chocolate to keep them warm. CDG was the definitely brightest spot throughout this second construction process, and their work was served as our stress release from the builder of the main house. The work is not half done but I have no doubt we selected the best group with reasonable pricing. We definitely have our peace of mind now. UPDATE: Since writing my earlier review, we have found that the progress of work has been very slow. Most of the time they have one mason on site. It seems to us there is no commitment to our project and finishing it soon enough so we can have access to our yard and do other things we need to accomplish. It seems that they have shifted resources away to other jobs. If you choose this company and want your job done on time, I recommend that you insist on a firm timeline and include it in the contract. Also inquire about the number of masons available for your project and include it in the contract.
